Incredible service and I didn’t even purchase anything. I have so much respect for this business - Ferny is such an honest man. When our battery died, we took it to Interstate and instead of just taking our money, Ferny recommended we first call the dealership to see if we could get it replace for free (we had just bought the car three months ago). He coached us on exactly what to say, and low and behold, the dealership agreed to replace it for free. Truly blown away by this experience and highly recommend! Ive come here three times for three different car batteries. Theyre always super fast and helpful. Even with covid when I came today they were still pretty quick and did their best to provide great service. David was very helpful, and another tech there I dont know his name but he let me use some stuff when changing my battery which made the process a bit easier for me.I appreciate the service and Ill definitely come back.

I needed to replace two batteries in a mobility scooter. These folks were super helpful and also recycled the old batteries that were expanding and leaking. I definitely recommend coming here.

Customer oriented service professionals and Ive always had a positive results whenever purchasing my car batteries here. Due to covid, all business is handled from the large roll-up door facing their parking area in the back of the building. For a small fee they can install the battery for you or they will provide the tools to replace it yourself. If you have chronic back or shoulder issues its best that you have them do it.

Ferney was very honest and saved me $300 by pushing me to check my battery instead of taking my inexperienced word that I needed a new battery. Honesty pays way more than the short money as Interstate Batteries has a customer for life!

Went in today to have a battery rebuilt, they were so kind and timely. Please if you go in on a Saturday, keep in mind only one person works on Saturdays. So be kind and patient.

I exclusively use Intererstate batteries for all of my vehicles. I usually have three reasons for using a business: location, product, customer service which this has two of criteria. The location is further than I would like to travel but I rely on this product on a everyday basis. Lastly, I would recommend this product highly for the price one would pay for similar products.

Not very happy about having to replace battery for second time. No charge last time, but it was out of warranty this time. Cost me $78, half price. Outrageous to have to pay $150 every 2 years. They were friendly as they charged me for their defective product. Battery prices are ridiculous everywhere. Dont recommend Interstate.

I came in with an Interstate battery and they were able to guide me. The replacement warranty was expired (apparently the other place sold me an old battery) but they did the prorated warranty. Great to know they are local.They handle business great even with COVID-19 safety measures in place.

I drive a Ford F-250 7.3 diesel and it needs full power to starter. I replace my batteries with Interstate Batteries on January 2020. They did a great job on the install and I was very pleased. I was having problems starting my truck and took it in to have the batteries replaced in Upland California at a Interstate Factory Store. I had nothing but problems and had to talk with the manager in order for them to replace one of them. I asked him to replace both of them and they refused to do so. I had my truck in for some repairs and he told me the second battery was bad and returned it to Interstate in La Mesa and they change it out for me at no problem. They also did the install. They did a fantastic job and I highly recommend this locations because we all know not all Interstate Battery companies are equal. Hands off to the crew at the La Mesa location and I highly recommend this facility. Thanks again guys. Cheers

Prices are very reasonable, customer service is great, they usually replace the batteries for you on the spot.I drive a commercial company vehicle, they could not replace my battery because it was tucked in the back. They went out of their way to find a place that would replace it for me!!!Awesome!

Fernando helped me on a Saturday. He was the only employee,and was handling traffic and phone calls both. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and nice to to deal with. He tested the battery and alternator. I had conflicting test results from other stores. He explained it was definitely the battery. He gave me tips to help prolong battery life. I followed his recommendations, and purchased the best battery size for my truck. The price was competitive or better than other stores. He checked out everything after I installed it. I feel very confident with my choice, and purchasing from Fernando at this store. Highly recommend for your battery needs.

The guy that worked there had me take off and install my battery myself as I thought that was there job and were there to help the customer.On the other hand he gave me the right size battery that was made for my car at no extra charge which was almost a $100 difference.

OMG! Saved my life. Brian at the La Mesa location helped me find a reasonably priced replacement for my ailing battery. Being on a fixed income, I was in a panic. He told me I would need to go to their warehouse off Miramar. He was patient and helpful, which was so appreciated. At the warehouse, there was no waiting and the technician named Caesar, was professional and very kind to me and took care of everything. I hope Interstate appreciates how well they are represented by the likes of Brian and Caesar. I recommend this company. If I could give them six stars, I would.

Very friendly and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Car needed a new battery. Also carry small batteries. My daughter found a pocket watch and they had the micro battery for her. Even offered to put battery in for her.

Fast and efficient install of my new battery. They provided a battery condition check prior to replacing the battery. I had read previous reviews and most said they had their battery installed free, I was charged $15.00 for the installation.It saved me a 15 mile return trip if I had to return the core after doing it myself. So I had it installed.

Top quality car batteries at competitive prices. Unlikely I will have any problems with battery for next 5 years. Probably good for 7 years or more. Interstate is superior compared to batteries at Oriellys or Autozone. Those fail in 2 or 3 years.Great service. I like going to this store. The person at the register was knowledgeable and courteous. I have been to La Mesa store many times for personal and for my work and always have a good experience.

I needed a quality 6v lantern battery--with emphasis on long lasting, not-so-much on amperage--for an automatic pet access door that is battery operated to open and sunrise and close at sunset. The last two batteries purchased from the home-improvement store blitzed-out in less than 6 weeks. (Theyre supposed to last at least 6 months.) The interstate battery store attendant was very helpful and explained what could have been the issue with the home-improvement store batteries (possibly sitting on the shelf for who-knows-how-long). At interstate, batteries is WHAT THEY DO, so none are waiting around for long. I purchased the lantern battery, at a very competitive price (less than the home improvement store), and with more assurance. (The attendant said if I had any problems to bring it back and theyd work with me to find a different product.) Interstate seems to stand behind their products, and Ill be buying my pet-door batteries--and other specialty batteries--from this place in the future.

Its bumming me out that I dont remember the mans name, but he did an excellent job of turning buying a battery into a good experience. I was having a bad day early in the morning my battery was dead I took it out got an Uber and by the time I got to the store was unhappy with how much it was going to cost me. This guy said man you should be happy you got 6 years out of your battery. Then he started talking about his time in the military while he was checking me out just to keep me entertained and then he gave me coffee while I waited for the Uber to pick me up. Haha I swear this is real and might seem over-the-top but I genuinely appreciated that

Yeah I was looking online to recycle my batteries and pop in to take my old motorcycle batteries but on the internet it states that theyre open on Memorial Day 9 to 6 p.m. I guess what nope not open and they dont give cash for recycling batteries whats the deal man what happened to customer service the city of San Diego doesnt have customer service.
