The salesman was extremely patient with me and after many questions I decided on a S&W 9mm. I would highly recommend Specialty Arms to anyone. Very steep FFL transfer fee. $50, but they charged an extra $25 for not letting them know in advance that I had sent a purchase to their store. Will not be doing any business with anytime soon.

I went to Specialty Arm II today for some expert advice on a rifle. There staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and overall provided great customer service. This is the 2nd firearm I have purchased from them and I will definitely be back. Their prices were more than fair also. I originally looked at purchasing online but after shipping and transfer fees it wasnt worth it. Good customer service is really hard to find these days with everyone purchasing goods online. These guys have it!

Wanted money to fix a new gun that wouldnt cycle any rounds cant even fire my gun.

Iv bought a few guns here . Everytime I come in they are very nice and always ready to help. Never and pressure to buy a gun. I really do love this place. Not always the cheapest, but I would rather spend 20 more bucks and enjoy my time.

I have bought a few guns from these guys. Every time I get the same great customer service from everyone. I have used there great layaway for some and bought cash on others. Their prices are usually better than others just gotta watch their sale deals. Thats when you get great prices. I will continue to buy my new guns from these guys for years to come.

Just bought a gun here, traded one, and put another on layaway. I only wish the employees had more bargaining power when it comes to trade ins, only the owner can deal in cash and haggle. Also wish there wasnt constant talk about 2% charge for cards everywhere. The layaway math was insane when all I wanted was a clever cut price for everything.

Just bought two pistols from these guys at the gun show in Hendersonville on 1/21/2012. The customer service was great and they had an amazing selection. Also, the prices were VERY low because some jackass lit their store on fire the day before Christmas.Anyway, had a problem with one of the guns and they sent it in for us and all. Very nice, great customer service. I would highly recommend them if youre in the area.

Had a great experience there purchasing a revolver.The shop is small and quiet but if you have questions...the sales staff are friendly.Their prices were the best in the area and I always call them first to see what Im seriously looking at on a gun price.

First time I visited and I was impressed. Prices are inline with everyone else in the area and I do believe they carry a bigger selection than anyone in the La Vergne/Smyrna area. The service is a step above everyone else, which to me is more important. The guys are jovial and eager to assist. No need for me purchase from the big box store close by any longer. Thanks guys!

These guys are way better than Guns N More, Smyrna Gun, and Bullseye. You might pay a little more, but the customer service is through the roof. I have bought firearms from all the ones I have listed, but Specialty if by far the best around!

Made it in the door for a whole 45 seconds-minute ....Rude and condescending, unprofessional employees.....laid an EMPTY revolver on the countertop top compare it to another, as I was asking about the revolver I was comparing it to...was rudely asked to put it back in my pocket... Unloaded and barrel canted away from the people behind the counter! Save ur time and go to the Outpost armory, far more professional atmosphere.

I bought an item from them and they helped answer all my questions. Never got tired of me coming in endlessly and looking without buying. The prices are a little steep but they let me put it on layaway and I paid over the course of a month but I think you can go for up to 5 years with layaway as long as you pay 10% down. Keep in mind that they keep the ten percent if you cancel the layaway, try to put it in someone elses name or if you fail the background check (not sure about the last one).

The employees at this store have always been very pleasant and helpful to me. Fred Way wrote a review complaining about rudely being asked to put his gun away when he took an empty revolver out of his pocket to compare to another one on the counter. first of all, no firearm should be considered empty, so I understand if they were uncomfortable. No reputable gun shop will allow ANYONE to unholster or unilaterally present an unholstered, uncontrolled firearm in their store. Period. There are ways to ask, and safely hand over a weapon in a store and they will be the one to guide you. You should have asked in advance how to proceed. If it went down as you wrote below, you may consider apologizing as opposed to writing what appears to be an unfair review.

Great customer service, comfortable people who know a considerable amount about the weapons theyre selling you. Might not be the absolute cheapest place to go, but spend a few (and I truly mean only a few) extra dollars and get to deal with great people that are happy to help you.

I came in on a Monday to pay for an FFL transfer, $50.00, which is $25.00 more than their competator in Murfreesboro, I figured Id give the local business my money and the opportunity to make a customer happy and provide positive feedback. WRONG!!!!!! I call on Wednesday, kept on hold for 5 minutes just to be told the OWNER has to sign it and then shipped off to the seller. Hes been busy doing owned stuff. I guess paying customers arent important. Duley noted!!!! My advice, go to another shop. They wont get my business anymore.

Great shop to deal with,nice inventory,fair prices,and the help treat everyone with respect unlike a few other local shops.I met these guys at a gun show as well, no pressure,no condescending treatment.If they dont have what u want theyll get it for you in a reasonable amount of time.Other shops should learn how to treat people like they do specialty arms. Especially in Williamson co.

Problem handling defines a business. In my experience, SAII failed to respect and resolve their product problems. The product I bought had defects, so I requested it shipped for repair. Manager strongly disagreed and chose to argue instead. Owner had a simple indifferent solution: you bought it, its yours. This store has failed to evolve with Nashville. In the age of GunBroker, it is still a country store where buyer is at the mercy of seller.
