I have had annual service with this company. The daytome staff and techs are excellent.However, what I experienced last night was unusual. My furnace stopped working, called in after hours, and got their answering service, and no response from a tech calling back to let me know that they couldnt do any work last night. (I called 5 times in a 4 hour period from about 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.)I tried 3 other companies in the area, which called me back within 30 minutes of my phone call, stating that they couldnt come out because they were too busy or, because I wasnt on their annual maintenance plan and would have to call back and scedule daytime service.So, if you have to go with a company and expect emergency assistance, beware you may not get it or even a courtesy call back letting you know that they cannot provide it. (Which I would understand especially given the labor shortage and COVID)

I did my due diligence and got FIVE quote for a/c installation. For the same quality level product, Sunset Air was $0.81 more than the next closest bid.With that negligible difference you cant decide on price.It came down to Jesse, my sales consultant, who answered all my questions, and then MORE questions when my own research sparked new ones. He was polite, endlessly patient and very responsive. I also think it is important to note that from our first meeting I got a trustworthy feeling about him. (For those of you who listen to your gut)The install techs, Eric and Michael were as friendly and professional as can be. About midday my garage was swarming with Sunset Air guys helping out to complete the install. Everyone was great. And happily, they completely cleaned the mess and left me with nothing I needed to do.And of course Jesse followed up to make sure it all went well.I could not be more impressed with the quality of people working at Sunset Air and the excellent job they performed. We went with Sunset Air for two major jobs -- the installation of an on-demand generator to keep electricity flowing into our home during power outages, and to install a gas line to our fireplace so we could easily enjoy the ambience of flames flickering around (fake) logs in our fireplace. We initially decided on Sunset Air because of its very competitive pricing and its reputation for doing jobs like these. The crew was focused, efficient, smart, cheerful -- and they clearly knew what they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves and, just a few hours after arriving, departed, leaving us behind as very satisfied customers. Were no longer afraid of power outages and that night we snuggled in front of our fireplace.

Professional and friendly. Kramer and his partner (Tyler I think) put up with me watching and talking while they worked and didn’t seem a bit annoyed 😊. They did a great job and were obviously focused on making sure it was done right even retrofitting beyond their part of the project to make it so. I got the impression that the company works that way. They put in both a furnace and water heater and I couldn’t be pleased more.

I wouldnt hesitate the work with sunset air. They are professional and great with communication. I had about 10 bids and their prices were very fair compared to most others. Steve was great at working with me to price out a great system for my needs with different options. There was some slight confusion on which rebates applied but they were great to do the legwork to call and verify the exact specs and if the rebates applied before making any quotes. They also gave a virtual quote first that was extremely accurate compared to the in-person quote that they gave me later. I would highly recommend them.

The process for requesting duct service was quick and easy. The technicians, David and his assistant Tag, arrived just a few minutes early. Nice to have a representative from a company show up on time. David went through the process of cleaning ducts and showed me how it would be done on my home. He was detailed and answered any questions I had. In the end it was determined that the condition of the HVAC ducts didnt warrant cleaning. Very nice to hear that but even better was the fact that he didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Being on time, fair and honest, just what a customer should receive from a company. I gave Sunset five stars but truly the service I received was beyond that.

The team was considerate and careful. When their routine work disclosed pre-existing damage dating to the 2001 earthquake, they made sure I understood what had happened, what had been done to cover up the damage back then, and what they could do to fix the damage. Sunset Air contacted a drywaller whose work they vouched for and got the work done. Admittedly, the problem prolonged the schedule and raised the cost, but the new windows are delightful. All three team members were pleasant and made sure I was up to speed on the entire project.

Were extremely happy with our new furnace and heat pump and the crews that installed them. Mike was our contact and organized the install and crews. He thoroughly went over our options and made recommendations that were best for us and our home, not just trying to sell us the most expensive products. Very professional technicians not only fix issues in a timely and safe manner, but also explain ways to increase efficiency within the home. Within a month of the technician diagnosing and fixing our heat pump/HVAC issue, we’ve seen a drop of about 30% in our PSE bill.

We had Sunset Air install a heating/ac unit and everytime it froze the heat would go out and we would have to call them to get it repaired. They treated us like a major imconvienance every time and tried telling us it was normal to have to go out with a heat gun and de-ice rhe exposed pipe. Finally hired a different company to look at it, they properly insulated th unit and we havent had a problem since.

We got our new furnace and ac unit in June. We got several estimates and sunset was on the lower end but still good product. Breton was our sales person/product manager. From start to finish he was in contact with us he was never pushy and listened to exactly what I wanted. The day of the install went better then I could have hoped. The crew were amazing and really friendly.We had a small issue with our fresh air timer in early September. They came out that day to see what happened and the repair person was extremely nice and educated me even more on my furnace and ac unit. Came out a week later to replace it. This is a stand up company and I’m very happy they are the ones that will be servicing my new furnace/ac unit.

Robert was great and helpful. He was very professional and left a clean job. The only thing I can say is I read the service report and it starts off saying “The customer was complaining....”. After reading it it makes me sound annoying and all I wanted was my air handler looked at. Not a big issue but just some feedback for the next time a service report is generated. I’m sure barely anyone reads the reports but I did and that was the first thing I noticed. Thank you.

Excellent customer care. Didnt get the typical salesman pitch that you normally get from a salesperson. Straightforward and helpful. Way above the call of duty. Knowledgeable, helpful was able to do routine maintenance in addition to service call. Saving us time and money. Found the problem with our heat pump in minutes and quickly repaired. My wife works with Sunset Air in her business. Furnace died tonight (11:30pm) so I picked this company because theyre open 24 hours. I called and worked my way to their phone answering service. The lady who answered the phone did so with a very flat, hello? I replied in kind to which she hung up. I called back because the current outside temperature is 35° and dropping and I would like heat between now and Monday. This time the phone rang a few times, someone picked up then immediately hung up. Guess Ill go buy some space heaters and wait for Monday.

The SunsetAir tech, Robert, arrived right on schedule, was very professional, and was very knowledgeable of our HVAC system. He performed a routine maintenance inspection and cleaning of the system.

Outstanding workmanship and guarantee, BUT on our two jobs (one year apart) the office billed incorrectly (per the contract / bid) each time.The second job they charged the full amount even though a 50% deposit had been paid. It took two weeks to fully resolve this between them, us, and the credit card company. Next time itll be just check or cash!Again, a well established local company with a great rating overall. The weak link seems to be in billing.Mini-split, Heat pump, Air conditioner, windows.

I had been very stressed about my 28 year old furnace dying. I dont know anything about furnaces nor did I know anything about how much it would cost to replace it so I had to do research and call for bids. He set up an immediate install for me and sent out two wonderful young men, Jared and Conner. I just quit worrying. Those two guys were a responsible, clean, efficient team and they got the job done in one day. The next day another wonderful guy, Robbie, showed up and fixed a glitch in the computer board in the furnace and he was also an exceptional guy. I am pleased with the results and their service was/is truly first class. From the first contact to the end of the job, I felt no stress or concern about having them on my property and/or the quality of their work on the replacement. Sunset Air must have a wonderful training program - both for technical stuff and customer service. Their workers are knowledgeable and professional. First class repair. Replaced furnaces circuit board due to failure with power surge from PugetSound Energy yanking out my power meter hot without disconnecting power to panel box first! PSE contractors don’t care! However Sunset Air got me all set back up and tested good. Big difference dealing with a pro shop!
