And Books II doesnt have the biggest selection of comic books Ive ever seen, but it is one of the coolest places to go in Lafayette for things like figurines, Warhammer things, and fun board games for small and big groups. Its also a good place to get school books, last I checked. That may need to be fact checked.

Went in to buy a set of graphic novels. They were in stock. Nice! Had some time to kill so I decided to sit down with one and look at it before heading to the register. Clerk did not politely ask me to leave, but rather rudely demanded it. Will not be returning.

This place has everything you can dream of for all of your adventures, whether it be an escape into a fabulous comic book universe of superheroes or alternate dimensions, a high fantasy role playing adventure, or a far future sci-fi game of Warhammer. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and can point you in the direction of whichever path or escape youre looking for.

This is probably one of the best comic shops around. The owner knows his stuff and has been around for a long time. He even gave me some discounts and a free poster!! Ill definitely be back next time I am in town. I highly recommend this store to any comic book fan of any age!!

Ive been visiting AB2 for over a decade now and never had any more than a minor inconvenience. Theyve got all manner of games, books, comics, and collectibles and plenty of space to play whatever game youre interested in on most days. The shop is especially lively Wednesday through Saturday.

Friendly atmosphere! Jeff was welcoming. Players that were there were friendly. They have a good amount of space and selection of games for purchase.

Really great place thats has it all. Comics and reading materials on one side, gaming and accessories for games on the other. I get all my paints from their large selection from there. they do have meet ups for local games there as well.

If you need any DND products, they got you covered. Their miniature selection in particular is quite vast and grows weekly. Good atmosphere for Table Top Gaming.

I’ve been coming to this store for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been coming here nearly weekly for comic books and anything nerdy I needed. A few times when I was a kid, I went in on Saturdays for a Yugioh tournament, and I always had fun. The store always has a huge selection of comic books, both new and old, and all the card game/RPG merchandise you could ever need.

The always have the latest books and usually has the entire series if its newer. They have a wide range of books. The only downside would be the lack of vintage comics books. But thats a personal preference. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Was hot in the store and the guy was discussing who knows what and not checking anyone out. I understand that the geek comes out working at a place like this but come on excuse yourself check a person out and then get back to the conversation.

I mainly shop here for my minis for d&d, they have a wide selection of minis to choose from, all the books (as far as Im aware), friendly people running it, and good prices.

And books II is a great to hang out. They have a huge selection of comic books, board games, card games, and school books. They also have awesome accessories to go with card collecting and playing. They even host tournaments and weekend events of particular games.

We can easily spend over an hour year just browsing the board games or comics. One of my husbands favorite places to stop at while we are in town.

A great friendly local game store. They even let you use their tables and play games for free!

I love this place! Great selection of comics and games alongside a small selection of paperback books.

A while back, I got really excited to find a limited edition run of a rare art book here. When I got home I realized that the sticky note they had posted on the cover with the price had actually faded the cover completely. I bought overpriced limited edition garbage. That should be their slogan.

Ill let others wax on about the amazing experiences there, not that I dont agree, but what stood out most to me was the PRICES.I was expecting higher prices given that its in LA, but the prices are actually very reasonable for brand new books, much better than B&N. I also loved their merchandise. Id love to come back when Im in LA next!

I shopped at this store while on vacation in Lafayette. Very friendly employees and a broad selection. I found everything that I wanted and then some! Would definitely shop there again if given the chance.

Brought my son there today to try and learn the Pokemon trading card game. Everyone in the store including Jeff was extremely nice and helpful. Such an awesome atmosphere being someone who was clueless.

The people working here couldn’t be bothered to ring me up at the register. They looked over at me and turned away. I just wanted to buy a comic book. Never again!

Theyve moved away from comics and more towards gaming. The name of the shop us appropriate as books/comics seem to be a bit of an afterthought.

Awesome comic and card shop. They have a wide selection of comics, DnD material, and cards. Great place to spend a Saturday night playing cards or DnD.

Its a good store with loads of tabletop wargaming and hobby supplies, something that Louisiana really lacks. Additionally it sells a few rulebooks and such for games like dungeons and dragons but last I checked they do not publically host. They do however host Warhammer 40,000 on Saturdays and Wednesdays. The staff I met were helpful but the people there lack the friendlier feel that certain competitiors like Sword and Board or Anubis have.

I was visiting from out of town and had more time on my hands than anticipated. Found some good books here and great selection of comic books.

Had been coming here for a couple years every so often just to see what kind of new content was out in the comic world, but I have to say after my experience today I will most likely never come back. I am a browser when it comes to comic books and tbh half the time I just like looking at the art to see all the different styles out there. Well as I am doing so quietly minding my own, the little old lady behind the counter pretty much came up to me and told me I could not look threw the comic book an if I’m nt going to buy anything then I had no business in the store, they sell the books, they are nt a library. Now like I said I have been here many times before this and have done just what I was doing today, and no one has had a problem at all with this, and half of the time would carry on a conversation with me while I’m doing so. I understand they are a business and all but what that lady did was just rude, so this will likley be my last visit to and books too on Johnston street.
