We absolutely love books! We also like being able to exchange books we have already read for new ones that we havent. The customer service is great. We also have fun petting the big fluffy cat in the box at the door.The child selection of books is massive. It takes the kids forever to pick books but gives me time to browse as well. We definitely recommend this place. I visited here as a child and love to bring my children the same experience.

The Book Rack has a large selection of books over several genres. If you are willing to dig (the books are in ABC order, but the store is large and a bit like a maze), youll probably find something you are interested in. The staff is very polite and the prices are reasonable. (Prices are about half off the cover price.)A large plus for book lovers is that you can trade in books for store credit. Its the cheapest used book store in the area and has the largest selection. A must for book lovers.

Great place to visit and go thru stacks. You never know what you will find and visit the cat.

No Air-conditioning and prices was a little to high . So, I did not buy . The goodwill has a better deal on books ; is my experience.

I found some of the books I was looking for. Lonesome Dove and No Country for Old Men (on the reading list for a 21st Century American Literature graduate class). The bookkeeper was helpful and friendly. A nice kitty cat slept in a chair. I read another reviewer say there was an odor. There was no odor besides the smell of books. To some people, older books smell like mold. To me they smell wonderful. There is a sizable romance section, but there is also science fiction, horror, westerns, thrillers, and religious texts in abundance. I saw good childrens books and even a few poetry books. There is a decent selection of books about Louisiana. The collection is predominantly made up of popular books. Still, if you look around you might find something unusual.

I really do love this place. It’s always funny to see the random cat sleeping in the chair.. if I had to read a romance book with a book store.. this is what I think about.. more people should shop here

A good selection of sci-fi/fantasy books. Although pricing could be a little more clear. I picked up two books I thought would be $4 each only to discover that the total was at least double. I did not get either book.

Great store with a variety of lesser know stuff and classics. The nice lady working there can make good recommendations as well.

Absolutely love this book store. The selections are vast and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for, and the staff are incredibly friendly and more than willing to help. Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the Lafayette/Carencro area.

Beautiful gem hidden off Gloria switch with a great selection of used books. When you walk in you can smell the stories resting on the orange shelves. The staff is friendly and the cat is great.

Extremely nice and knowledgeable people, so very fun to actually have your hands on the printed word for a change. The Book Rack has a great selection, lots of collectibles, and its just so much fun to go wandering around. :-)

I am an avid science fiction and fantasy reader, I find they have a great selection and a constant supply of new titles. Also I like the shop cat. price is reasonable and the staff are nice. I have made this one of my regular book stops.

My experience was just great! I have had absolutely awesome experiences in finding impossible-to-find books through the Book Rack on A. Caffery. I was looking for an out-of-print statics book once and had given up hope. Yes, you guessed it--they found it AND for a cheaper price than I was led to believe!! They are definitely my go-to store when I really need a book found!!
