Fantastic experience!!!!!! Get there early to take in the beautiful views. They don’t take reservations and they aren’t open late so get there early to queue up! The owner serves you free wine whilst you wait to be seated. The eggplant dish is a must! All the fish we ordered was great and the staff was friendly!
1 hour line that is worth waiting! When you approach this place you will see one very friendly guy who tells you how long you will have to wait and treat you with cold home made wine. That is Vassilis - the owner. The restaurant was recommended by locals. The menu is shot and all the food is oven baked - you can’t get it wrong :)
Idyllic family run taverna sitting on a cliff side over looking a small beach. Very basic decor and laid back ambiance. It’s all about the setting and the food (grilled shrimp was amazing and pork chop very good too).Almost always seems to be a bit of a wait to get a table (ours was 20 mins). This will give you time to hike down to either beach and taken in the scenery. Restaurant seems to get less busy as the day goes on. They stop taking new tables at 7pm so arrive before then to be guaranteed a spot.
What a great experience. We arrived a little early to make sure we get a table since they dont take reservation. We waited for about 45 minutes until we were seated at 1230. It was definitely worth the wait. The view is stunning and the food is delicious. They prepare fresh salads every day which you must not miss out on. We devoured the pork chop within minutes. This was one of the top places we visited on Mykonos.
A hidden gem in mykonos, it’s a 20 min drive away from little Venice, but totally worth it. Very crowded, there’s an hour or more wait to find a table but the owner will serve u free wine and water while ur waiting. U can also go straight to the beach and enjoy swimming till ur table is ready. The food is fresh, the service is fast .
Looks like I stumbled onto the best restaurant on Mykonos on my first day! Beautiful slice of heaven with some truly incredible salad options and by the looks of some of the fish options they also looked exquisite! Kiki is the boss man on the door and you can tell hes poured his heart into it for the last 20 years.Exceptional prices, especially compared to places near by. And they also have the most secluded private beach at the bottom of the stairs. Would give this place 6 stars if I could.
I’ve eaten throughout Greece from inland to island. This tavern represents the essence greek cuisine. Simple and authentic - you get what you’d expect from a tavern in the mediterranean. My suggestion would be the spinach salad accompanied by the marinated pork chop, which will cost you short of 40€. There is usually a wait, if you get there before 12:30pm you can get in with the first wave of seating; otherwise the wait is between 30 minutes and 1 hour - peaking around 15:00pm. Although you can find many, even better taverns around in Greece - this one is by far one of the best available on Mykonos.
If you’re traveling to Mykonos, be sure to stop here. Not only is the food amazing but so is the view. The wait is unpredictable so come prepared with water or some activities. The owner was very accommodating, he gave us wine while we waited and came by to speak a few times. Once we were finally seated (I think our wait was about 90 minutes), we were NOT disappointed. The sea bass and chicken thigh were both cooked to perfection. We ordered an appetizer that our palettes did not like but did not complain. The servers noticed we did not finish it and brought us chocolate cake to make up for it. Afterwards, we spent some time on the beach before the owner called a cab for us. Guess what? More “waiting wine”. Highly recommend this spot. The food is amazing. The service has been unmatched. The view is to die for.
When we visited this place, everyone had to wait around 1,5 to 2 hours. However, I didnt even see one person who left unhappy as the food was good and the atmosphere and view were great. Highly recommended therefore.
The OASIS and BEST in Mykonos. When you are so let down / tired of the quality of food you get for what you pay in Mykonos, you go to KIki’s. It’s so worth the wait and so good that it’s worth the trip and time you waited. Definitely get Grilled Octopus and Aubergine (eggplant) salad. Those two are out of this world and it was recommended by several greek locals we’ve met during the trip so it’s definitely on the authentic side! A must in Mykonos.
You cannot say I visited Mykonos but i didn’t visit Kikis Taverna. Most of the times you gotta wait at least an hour for a table, in the meantime you can go and refresh yourself on this private beach where kikis taverna is located. Works without electricity and everything is daily specials and very fresh. They usually close around 7pm
Beautiful location overlooking a tiny beach. Delicious food, nice staff. We were given a glass of wine whilst we waited for a table.
Very beautiful taverna in front of the sea. Queue was Very long (as expected) around 1h and 30min. The owner offers a glass of rosé, nice from him.Food was good, we had some salad of the day, tzatziki and grilled eggplant. We were dispappointed about the sea food (except the sea bass) is not fresh but frozen. Otherwise service was great, we spent a nice moment but I dont know if I would wait again so long.
We arrived at 1:30pm on a Wednesday and waited just under 2hrs. Food is lovely, fresh salads and huge meat cuts. Queue seems unorganized but is okay, but mostly waiting in the sun. By the time we left around 3:30-4ish there was not many people waiting so a better time to arrive if you are not too hungry. The staff are amazing and even helped us organize a taxi back home.
What an amazing experience! What an amazing staff and owner! What an amazing view! One word, yep you guessed it...AMAZING!
Very nice place, food and service. But we were not even finished and they asked us to leave, for the next clients. It was quite rude
Consistently great quality tasty food. This time we ordered a pork chop (maybe even better than 2 years before), a seabass, eggplant from the grill and feta from the grill. All was super tasty, though if you were thinking of ordering only one starter, definitely go for the eggplant served with garlic, walnuts and parsley!
Wonderful corner of this earth. Vasilis is super good in hosting each and every single client. A place you can never get tired to go to. Big queues as you cannot book, but You are offered an ice cold wine while waiting and you can go for a swim in a super Pristine water
Homemade dishes, perfect view
Quite high prices, long queue of people awaiting for the table. However, the view at the bay is magnificent and food great and worth its price. If you take calamari, prepare to receive a huge thing! Suitable for 2 persons 🙂 the owner takes care for the people waiting outside and brings water and wine.
Long wait for nothing special. In addition it seemed that some people where cutting the line. At the end the wine was hot, very few choices of days salads and the food is not better than any other tavern on the island. I recommend only if there is no waiting time. The location and the view is great and the place is closed to a nice beach spot.
I enjoyed the food sufficiently. The real treat is the view of the bay - make sure before or after your meal, you walk down the steps to the small beach to swim in its turquoise waters. We showed up at 2pm and our wait time was almost 2H.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, good prices. The parking situation can be tricky, its better to park early and walk to the restaurant than to drive next to it.
Absolutely incredible food and service. Faultless. Pork chop was out of this world.
We rented an ATV just so we could come to this restaurant when we’re in Mykonos. Definitely worth the trip! It was such a cute little place. Great salad bar, definitely need to try it! The sea bass was probably one of the best grilled fish I’ve ever had.
So we got here just after 11:30am. And it allowed us to be in the first seating at 12:30.There is a smaller beach down below that is great to swim in because it’s hot out. Once you’re seated. You will choose salad from inside. Service is prompt and helpful. After walking inside to choose the salad they bring that out with our bread and the wine we ordered.Everything is amazing, worth the wait, and they do accept credit card.
A legend location, food amazing, host friendly and staff a must do while in Mykonos
No respect from the manager (big guy at the entrance). Does not talk to you, announces a wait of 2 hours in the sun, you cannot move and must stay in the line.I am tired with all those trendy restaurants which are just fish grills and do not respect their custumers.
The wait time is long when you dont come early, but theres an amazing beach right next to it, and they serve you wine while waiting. The food is very fresh.
Great food! Great SERVICE! AMAZING location...PS. Trio of salads a must!!!
Thank you, Grazie, ευχαριστώ!!!Amazing seafood, loved that octopus and the melenzane. Lovely small Taverne armored by oleander with nice sea view.Great service and kitchen with compliments for the chef. Vassili, you are king!!!
In a beautiful location with a small cove beach nearby, however, extremely busy in summer at lunchtime. There was a one hour waiting time so we left very disappointed.
Wonderful place in front of the sea.Greek cuisine is fantastic as the owner and workers. You have to visit
Fabulous. We had a 20 minute wait for a table for 3 on a Sunday afternoon. The host handed us a plastic cup of wine while we waited, and our 5 year old entertained himself climbing the stairs and throwing rocks. The salads we chose were delicious, and the pork chop and shrimp were outstanding. Definitely worth the time and effort to visit during your Mykonos vacation.
Lived up to the hype and we had a great experience at Kikis’. Despite the 2 hour wait (we went at 3 and got seated at 5) it didn’t feel as long with the wine, great view of ‘lovers beach’ and great conversation with fellow travellers- but be ready for a long wait especially during high season. The prawns were hands down our favorite. The pork chop and calamari were also some of the best we’ve had in Greece thus far. The chocolate cake is made by the owners daughter and was a phenomenal finish to our meal! The ambiance and vibe was super chill and fitting for the establishment.
Always worth the wait (no reservations) - we arrived at 14:00 and ate at 15:00, there’s wine and water on tap while you’re in the queue. Definitely check out the salads of the day - they’re legendary. And don’t try to play with the cats, they are not pets and just want to relax.
Really good authentic food. We needed to wait for about 45 min wich was ok. Since they served wine and water on the house. And a secret small beach was close by. Service was nice. Prices were very reasonable
Well worth the waiting time for this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and attentive, amazing customer service experience. The food is so flavourful, I never knew a salad could taste as good as it does at Kiki’s.Yes, there is usually a queue and wait time to be seated, but we’ll work the wait! Plus free rose wine while you wait in line is an absolute win!
Upon searching online for must visit restaurants in Mykonos we stumbled across Kiki’s Tavern. The views are spectacular from the restaurants seating area.Upon arrival the owner stipulated that we would be looking at around an hours wait before being seated (the owner also stated that you must wait by the tavern in order to remain in the queue). The owner did offer wine or water whilst waiting which was a generous gesture. Due to the good reviews and the tavern being a “must” visit we decided to wait. (Usually we wouldn’t wait this long for any restaurant)We opted for the Greek salad as a starter, which honestly speaking was one of the worst Greek salads that we had during our stay in Mykonos. They had an alternative option which was the salad bar which we perhaps should’ve had instead. We decided to order two mains, one was the sea bass & the other was the sword fish fillet. Both meals seemed like they lacked basic seasoning (salt & pepper ) and honestly speaking we had much better sea food in less known restaurants throughout Mykonos.Collectively we wouldn’t recommend Kiki’s Tavern as the food did not match up to the hype (especially after waiting for around an hour). You can find better sea food elsewhere throughout Mykonos.
Amazing place!and delicious food...
Great find. Do expect to wait for an hour irrespective as to when you show up. Though not too painful with the complimentary rose while you wait or go for a dip. Do note, you will need one person to wait in the queue.
We had to wait to be seated but it was worth it. Highly recommended
The best food experience in mykonos. Family owned restaurant, charcoal grilled seafood, great sides to share. There is a bit of a wait, but if you have time it is worth every second of the wait. The view is awesome!
Tourist trap for Americans : more people waiting in line that eating. Basic great food but so easy to find in Greece. The waiting zone is part of the trip if you are ready to wait for hours. No waiting list so be ready to have friends of the boss passing in front of you. Beautiful beaches around thought
Kiki‘s is a really nice tavern. It was our 2nd time here. It is a very small place and very famous. Long waiting required for a table. Free wine and water for the waiting guests. Taste of food is very good. Only a few dishes. Grilled food ! Fair prices. See you next time !
Free rose while waiting, amazing beach view, friendly owner! The best pork chops I’ve had in the country. Seafood was delicious, too. I will definitely be back!Be prepared for a wait. We went on a Monday at 3 pm and had to wait until 4:15 to eat. The owner says the tables are given in order, rather than size of the party.
My favorite restaurant in mykonos. Probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life. I would go for some of the salad bar, the pork chop, and the sea bass. Get there at 12:30-1 to avoid the line but bring a book cause the 45 minute wait is worth it
For Mykonos, prices are okay. You may find a line or waiting time because there are no reservations, but the waiting is okay because you get served some complimentary wine. The view to the little beach is incredible and in general the restaurant has its charm. Whether its worth to make the trip there is hard to say, if you have a rental vehicle go there for lunch otherwise you are better off in other places in Mykonos.Food is good and flavor is authentic.
I came here after spending the afternoon at Panormos Beach and before going to the lighthouse on the north side of the island. Great views of the cliffs and sea while eating dinner on a covered patio. Had the chicken and baked potato with a Mythos. Food is good but the view is even better. Highly recommend! Please ‘Like’ if this review is helpful
Food is outstanding and the view is superb. The menu offers a few selections but seems they do them best. Go for the Grilled Turkey Sausage cause its the best Ive ever had. The salad bar offers some very good salads while my favorites are the Tarama and the Spinach Salad.
Great sea food all grilled on a wood fire, beautiful private beach view, and friendly staff. It is a small place and is very busy so you will most likely have to wait for a table. They provide free wine while you wait.
Super nice food amd friendly Owner, Kiki.He is offering free rosé wine to all people waiting for a table :)
SIMPLY THE BEST TAVERN in Mykonos!! It’s a must we have been here every visit and it just the best! Kiki’s beach is very special and so is the tavern! GO!! And the owner is a legend!
No availability, people were queuing for a few hours to get there. Definitely not worth your time and efforts. If you like to visit something unique, Go to Koukoumi Restaurant / Koukoumi Hotel. They have a very nice vibe, and this place is a heaven for foodies!
Amazing food in an amazing location. The owner is really welcoming!
It worth waiting 30 min for a table wile the owner offered us wine and ice. most authentic food in mykonos at reasonable prices. very helpful staff.
There has to be a reason if people end up waiting patiently in line for more than 1 hour just to eat at Kikis. Maybe because the owner makes you feel relaxed despite the apparent confusion of people waiting around the small space adjacent to the taverna? Or because you know youll have one amazing, genuine culinary experience in a unique, romantic and cozy setting? Or perhaps because service is so nice and friendly that youll almost feel you are eating at a friends house. Or also because the view of lovers beach and Ftelia bay soothes the senses? Perhaps its because of all these reasons...anyways you should really try it. Its been the same for 10 years and it will likely maintain its original taste forever
The best place we live it
The best people. Very tasty meals.
Amazing spot with a great view! The owner is really charming!! Really recommended!!
Must visit! The cutest place with the best staff!!! And the pork chop is to die for, they have 16 different salads to chose from!
Good food and mood. Be prepared to wait for a table while drinking free wine ;-)
The worst place in Mykonos, that we have visited. We were waiting for the table for 1,5 hour. There was kind Man, who was giving rose wine/water to people waiting. Stuff was nice, but the food was not worth waiting - next 40 minutes waiting for order (which gives total about 2 hours waiting for a food). Food was also not worth price - 4€ for 3 pieces of bread, which is automatically added to the bill. And what is the most important thing - we both had diarrhea after visiting this place… we hadn’t eaten anything else. Symptoms started about 2-3 hours after lunch and continued next 2 days after. It ruined our last day in Mykonos. Really disappointed…
Long wait where the owner memorizes your place in line, but the food is worth the wait!
A hidden treasure! Hard to find until you spot the queue waiting for food. We arrived half an hour before opening on a Monday morning and it was already busy! The guy at the door will remember your face and your place in the queue. The food is so fresh, prepared in front of you on a grill and the view is amazing! Well worth the queuing!
