My battery and charger died while on vacation. I emailed the store because it was after hours. Paul responded with a thorough email back letting me know he had the battery I was looking for as well as a charger. He was very prompt, courteous, and saved my vacation. THANK YOU, PAUL!
Incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I was having an issue with dust in my camera and I was explained how to clean it and they had the supplies that were needed. Followed their instructions and my camera is working great.

Was looking for a pair of compact binoculars. They had just what I wanted for a good price and were willing to stay open a few minutes late to give me time to get there.
On May 17 I was looking to replace a GoPro camera. My daughter called and asked if they had any in stock and she was told “yes”. When we arrived at the shop my daughter and I went to the store, I forgot my face mask and had to run back to the car and grab it. My daughter went inside and there was no one out front, so she called out hello and the owner said he would be right out. I entered the store a minute later, walked straight to the GoPro display and picked one up. I walked to the register and not seeing anyone called out “hello”. The owner literally screamed “I said I’ll be right out!”. A few seconds later he comes out from the back area, rolls his eyes and huffs out a loud sigh before putting on a fake smile and says “what can I do for you.” I told him I was there to purchase a GoPro. He stares at me for a minute. My daughter is stunned by his rudeness and walks towards the door. I asked if there was a problem and Paul (the owner) says that he had told my daughter that he would be out and she should have told me to wait. My daughter told him he needed to work on his manners and left. I had handed him my credit card to pay for the purchase already, but he says “You know what! Here!” And hands me back my credit card and takes the GoPro out of my hands. Very childish and combative, no customer service skills and rude. I do not recommend doing business with this shop. Got my GoPro at Walmart for $50 less than what he was asking. I usually like to spend my money at local businesses, he will not be getting anymore from me or the local dive community.
The owner was incredibly rude and had one of the worst attitudes i’ve EVER encountered on this island. the guy literally got mad at me and my dad for asking “hello?” when we walked in ONCE. this guy doesn’t deserve a cent of anyone’s money.
The owner is super nice and helpful. In addition to great merchandise, they offer rental equipment as well - and I was able to rent at a great price a great-quality underwater camera for my scuba diving experience across the street (you can ask the owner for their name, I forget). And the owner burned the pics to a CD for me to take home and share. (Will try to post a pic later)
Paul was great. He helped me when I thought my camera battery was completely dead. He checked it out and ended up “waking” it up. My battery started taking a charge and was able to use it to capture some beautiful vacation photos. I absolutely appreciate him taking the time to address my concern and figuring it out. Very helpful and provided in a pinch
We were in a serious pinch to get a print for our wedding (for guests to sign). We found the idea just before our wedding and it seemed like such a incredible keepsake for our big day. We wondered if it was possible to get it done just 5days before, and not enough time to ship. Paul made it happen! He was responsive, kind and put our minds at ease. We now have a beautiful 20x30 of our engagement shoot printed on a “vivid metal” with all our fiends and family’s love and signatures (so special). Thank you to Paul for this piece. The quality is amazing! We will definitely recommend him and plan to use him in the future.
This Guy is amazing hes there every day of the week even though its scratched off and he has signs up just knock on the doors hes really cool amazing photographer always welcome to help anyone anytime of the day highly reccomend him any photo needs call him anytime he always answers he gives you 10 percent off when you drive up and honk!!! I just go up the street then back so I honk twice he gives me 20 percent off but you have to do it when you drive by his shop two honks I you might 20 percent off depending his happy mood
Went in this morning because there was something wrong with our canon eos rebel. We were getting a spot on all the exposed photos. We cleaned each lens to no avail. It was obviously in the body. The nice gentleman there figured it out right away there was something on the sensor. He blew some compressed air and cleared it out. No charge! Thank you Maui Digital Photography for saving our vacation photos!
They have a great stock of GoPros and accessories here, including some unique accessories that are hard to find at the other Dive or Clothing Shops around town that also sell GoPro products. I left home without a clip to connect my GoPro to an underwater pole and they were the only place in town that had just the accessory pack I needed. Friendly service by the owner. I was really grateful this store was here to support us traveling photographers!

We are on vacation and thought our camera battery was dead. We walked into the store looking for a battery. The gentleman behind the counter could have easily sold us a new battery. We describe what had happened he simply revived our sleeping battery and sent us on our way. Honesty says a lot I would recommend this store
Weve been a frequent supporter of Maui Digital Imaging for years. Hes printed many items for us at great quality. Good business hours and his customer service is professional as well. There was a time our mounting was mis-positioned, we brought it back and he fixed it right up immediately. Great service. Support your local business, Paul is great at what he does.
Provided exactly what we needed. Long story short, we had a rapidly changing schedule, a unique situation, and we also had a ~180 color 5x7s we needed to get printed with a very rapid (for Maui) turnaround
Paul, the owner, was very helpful when we purchased our camera. He even threw in a SD card adapter for our micro SD card. The camera was a little pricey, but after purchasing a water proof camera from Amazon that filled up with water the first time we used it, it seems worth the money.
Brought the wrong lens for my Nikon DSLR on vacation last week. I didn’t want to buy too similar of a lens since I would have it back soon so we sought out a camera shop on Maui. We were so happy and treated very well by the shop owner (I think). Even though his shop largely focuses on underwater photography, when it comes to equipment he sells, he was very nice, knowledgeable and took the time to double check the lens I wanted was compatible. I had originally picked out a large, expensive lens but despite making a lesser sale, he was honest and advised me that one about half the cost was probably what I wanted. He was right! It was perfect for all the shots the other lens I had mistakenly brought couldn’t make. Thank you and highly recommend this lovely local business for all your camera needs :)

Paul Grisby provided an excellent service. After being sent to several places around the island to buy a battery charger for my camera, a lady from Radio Shock suggested me to go see him. She gave him a call, he told me to come by and there was the proper charger for the right camera. Not only that, he gave me a housing for my go pro that broke on my trip and when I asked him how much it was going to be he gave it to me for free. This was past August, but just wanted to write this review for the good impression he gave after having bad experiences with rude locals, he was the exception. Thank you Paul!
Spoke to Paul on the phone who seemed to be the owner of the store asking him just one simply question. Do you rent out gear? He responded in a very dry mono tone voice that seemed tired and irritated and a senseless regard for customer service, Nope, we dont do that here. followed by silence. Hoping for a detailed response or explanation of any further options of purchasing or ordering, I had nothing but a dead silent response. I DO NOT recommend going here. Its very shameful of him especially being a local here to have the only camera stores have customer service like this. Paul if you are reading this, pick up on 101 customer service, itll guarantee improve you business and your customers. Continue to be a stuck up and arrogant person, consider your store a loss. Try looking into a business where you dont have to deal with people.

Wow! DO NOT buy from this guy. Called to ask if they had a battery in stock since I forgot mine while on vacation. The man on the other end of the phone was rude, abrupt, nasty and arrogant. When I asked if I could speak to the owner about how he was talking to customers he said he was the owner and he was the only camera store on the island and if I didnt like it I didnt need to buy it and hung up on me. Skip this store and order any forgotten batteries online and have them delivered right to your door, youll get much better customer service.

Rude and arrogant. Sign says they open at 9:00, I knocked on the door at 9:01 as they were not open yet. The guy came to the door with a very bad attitude. Grumpy and pissed he was to say the least. He asked how he could help me in a grumbling voice and I told him that I wanted to buy an Olympus TG-4, he pulled it out of the case and slammed it down on the counter. I asked him what was the price knowing that Olympus was selling them for $349.95. I asked him if he knew that Olympus his price was $30 less than his and he got all mad started cussing at me put the camera back in the case and told me to get the hell out of the store. He told me to go back to the mainland.
We thought our battery was dead and came here to buy a new one. Turns out this is the only place on Maui to but a lithium battery. We didnt end up needing a new battery because ours was just sleeping. They fixed our battery and our camera worked with no cost.
This guy sucks find somewhere else to get your prints made.Rude, Terrible and Unprofessional. How do people like this stay in business.
