Convenient asian supply store, I went for Pui Mui.

Its over priced and now they have this huge glass that they have extended to block the counter/cash register area. Its so weird. Makes them look completely paranoid!!

Just visited this store for the first time today, and I was so surprised by all that they have to offer! The owner asked if I needed help finding something and she showed me exactly where to find everything that I needed for my drunken noodle recipe. She gave me suggestions on which brand to pick and what noodles work best with my dish. The ingredients were all high quality and very fresh. I will definitely be back here whenever I am planning to make an Asian dish!

It was a pleasant surprise to find an oriental grocery store in Lake Charles, LA! It’s not a huge store and does not measure up to oriental grocery stores in big cities, but it’s really nice to be able to get some oriental grocery without having to drive to Houston. The store appears pretty new (there’s a ‘Now Open’ sign on the window) and is mostly clean and organized. They have limited fresh produce and fruits to frozen foods like dumplings to ice cream to noodles and snacks to rice cookers and plates. I even saw some clothing. Items are a little overpriced.. but I guess the alternative is drive 2 hours to Houston to spend a little less money. This isn’t the place to go if you expect friendly greetings and service right when you walk through the store or someone asking if you need help finding anything. The guy who was working the counter only said “Thank you” to me after I checked out. I’ve been to many oriental grocery stores and that’s not uncommon so it doesn’t really bother me.

A wide selection of exotic items, so each trip is an adventure. Perfect for those looking for specialty/hard-to-find items for oriental dishes, or for unusual snacks or even Eastern themed eating and cooking utensils. Has a little bit of everything.

Store was very clean and the man that greeted us was friendly and helpful.

Products are a bit pricey, but they have a wide range of Asian goods. Was happy the first time we went there because of the Calpis Japanese drink that Ive been craving for, but found out they were expired. Please double check before purchasing, guys!

This is a pretty good Asian grocery. They do have pretty high prices but it is more convenient to shop here in Lake Charles than to go all the way to Houston. I do like that they always have what I need when I need it. I always get good service and the shop is mostly clean. The only thing I dont care for is how crammed in together but they are currently working on a new building so that they will have more space. Im pretty excited for their bigger store!

They had everything I needed to make sushi for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful, but a little pricey.

Love this store. Like other reviews...they are pricey but it’s convenient and stuff you can’t find anywhere else in lake Charles. Their selection is HUGE. Had what I needed and less expensive than ordering it online. So I’m extremely happy and the man there was able to help me find what I needed and was super helpful. Great store with awesome selection and great service.

If your gonna cook Asian cuisine at your home you need to visit thos place first. Awesome selection of knives dinnerware cookware. Knives are extremely sharp. Owned for over 6 months and havent had to resharpen yet

Good place to go if you are looking for some oriental grocery that you cant find at your local store, but a bit too pricey.

HIGHLY OVERPRICED! I prefer Pinoys on 171. We were charged $12 ea for two things of roe and a jar of spicy mayo ($36 Total) that shouldve been no more than $4 at the most... They dont price anything on the shelves either so you wont know how much it is until you check out. Only go here as a last resort when I cant find anywhere else.

All new building. Very organized compared to the store before. Very spacious. The owners are very friendly. Nice variety of products you cant get anywhere in Lake Charles.

Great quality products with amazing flavor, beautiful color selection of cheongsam dresses, hand held fans, home decor and so much more. Wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. Very clean and welcoming.

It was great when I was living at the dorm and couldnt cook, but now that I have a kitchen theyve stopped carrying a lot of the things I really liked, like curry and udon. The cookies and red bean bread are wonderful, though. If you like something there, stock up. If they run out, they might not order more.

The new store is really nice, but their prices are still very high on many things. I cook a lot of Asian food, so I drive to Lafayette and do most of my shopping at the Asian store in the Boulevard Shopping Center. Or if I am in Houston or New Orleans I bring coolers and stock up. Wing Thai is really just a fill in store between trips.

Asian Market with various home goods, foods and gifts. Very packed, nice place to find hard to find items & oriental foods, especially in this area. Freezer area with cold foods as well. The cons are that it is crowded and small, was hard to communicate in english with the person working and many items are not already priced.

My go to for hard to find Asian foods, one stop here and you can fill most recipe needs. Mai and Roger are nice folks with great knowledge of their products...my only complaint is how tightly packed the place is.

Great place to find Japanese and Korean foods, snacks & drinks as well some other items that you cant really find anywhere else. Also, the people working there are very friendly and helpful.
