Favorite place to get breakfast hands down. I take my mom to babysit my nephew every morning and sometimes I need an extra something to get my day going. I’ll stop by here and they make sure my morning is perfect. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious (shout out to whatever sausage patties they use. I love them). Of course their 5G drinks give me a much needed boost, and with a wide selection of flavors I’m always trying something new.This place rocks. The staff is friendly. You can get pretty specific with your order and they’ll accommodate. I can’t speak for their lunch or dinner options but, for me, their breakfast can’t be beat
Extremely over-priced and the food was sub-par. It was a huge disappointment from a company that obviously takes pride in their brand, as evident by the aggressive marketing campaign upon entering. I was immediately taken aback by the menu. Everything ranged from $9.95 to $10.95, from salads to chicken fingers to bacon burgers. It was only the driving rain outside and the fact that I wasnt paying that I ordered something. I ordered a sweet tea, and as she handed over the cups she prophesied, For your fountain drinks. I am now realizing I should have known before I even walked up to that metal tea urn that it would be empty. I found my boyfriend in a booth and slid in opposite of him. The place was cute, ok. I will give them that. The blacksmith theme was giving us life, mama. And, they had a small TV above the table and a retro video game emulator with Atari style joysticks that we played while waiting for our food. The service from start to finish was pleasant, even tho multi-tasking seems to be a dying art. All said, the reason for my low rating is the god awful food. His burger came with Kraft American Singles processed cheese. Mind you, they charged $9.95 before tax. Even more disappointing was my prebreaded chicken tenders that resembled tree bark, both in appearance and texture. Maybe trees taste like chicken, not sure if there was a mix up in the supply chain. $10.95 before tax for that delicacy. Stick to their beverage menu and youll likely leave a happy customer. Unless you want sweet tea after 5pm. Then forget it.
Food? phenomenal. Staff? phenomenal. Service? phenomenal. Every time I am in town by myself or with clients or even friends I make sure this is where we end up. It was a blast getting to be there when it was getting built to seeing how far it has come now. I have been here somewhere around 60+ times over the years and I will continue to every chance I get. Would highly recommend.
Staff very friendly, efficient. There to help you. Have a ? They can answer it. Food was great. Ill try lunch next time. Wrote review before I saw my sandwich. It was sausage egg cheese. I expected to get traditional sausage but it was like a summer type. Not cooked not very appealing not what I expected. In description they should tell you that. I would never have ordered that because of that type of sausage. Disappointed with the sandwich. But I will still try lunch sometime in the future. Ill ask ?s next time.
Woah woah woahBLOWN. AWAY.Stopped in while heading back to Jax after a day at the springs. Mi esposo wanted a burger so i found this place. The food was perfection, and although it was a little late for coffee (and i had buffalo chicken Mac and cheese- not the best with el café) He talked me into getting a small cup to try...Little did i know he was eyeballing their coffee- Java Chiller Growler! After having a cup i was convinced i needed the growler too!! Its amazingIf only we could fit some dessert in our stuffed bellies too but this will DEFINITELY be our go-to place when passing through. Shoot I think its only an hour from home...Might just make a trip to refill the Java Chiller!
Coffee is great. Biscuits were chewy. Service was disorganized. Hopefully it gets better. Nice spot with lots of potential. Great coffee.

This used to be my favorite place for breakfast but the last few times it has been terrible. The biscuit today was small thin and over cooked. Was excited for it and very disappointed with what I got. You could tell this was a canned biscuit and not homemade biscuit I’m used to from them! Not sure what’s going on but please go back to how you were!
Love the food and staff but the cooks do not seem to understand how to cook eggs any other way but fried and scrambled. I have been here dozens of times and even tho i always ask for my eggs over medium..ive only ever gotten it once. They always cook it too long and then it becomes a fried egg. Would recommend training for all the cooks.Second edit:*I would like to reiterate that the food is still amazing and as a new yorker who deeply misses breakfast sandwiches your shop is a diamond in the rough. And the staff is always friendly and helpfully accommodating.*
Road dog passing through town. I Googled what was around in this place sounded good. A good, real, classic burger. Part of the patty was sticking out of the bun and the patty all by itself was delicious. Theres not a whole lot of stuff in Lake City, but at least yall have this place. Awesome Burger.
Service was awesome and fast! Food was great. This location could use some work on the employees bringing the food to the table ( pretty rude food runners) Other than that the place was pretty awesome! We would highly recommend this place with hopes that employees are a little bit nicer to other customers!!
Today was our first time trying this place and I’m so happy we did. We’re always wanting to try new places and especially small mom and pop, family owned places. This little gem was a HUGE surprise...the staff awesome, the restaurant super clean and the food...WOW! My husband had the ranch chicken wrap and I had the Gyro both were delicious..they were so fresh. We also got the chocolate chip cookies and I grabbed a hot cup of fresh coffee. So, YES! Try this place.

My review is on their food and service because I did not try the coffee.Their food exceeded my expectations. I had the rye turkey sandwich, heated, with corn fritters. They both delighted my taste buds. I thought I was getting fried okra when I walked in but found it wasnt on their real menu vs this web pages photos.Their service was average. I didnt feel as if there was any concern for my dining experience. This is why I only gave them four stars.I feel I need to comment I was confused by their branding, Blacksmith Coffee Company logos. The logos were on the walls in the dining area. They have great deli food.
Most of the time I go to the drive-thru. The food is always delicious. I love any of their burgers, wraps, and sandwiches. The food is fairly priced and delicious..This particular visit and I can say for my previous visit like always I place the order online. For some reason last two times that I place my order I show up on the time that it tells me to show up to pick up my order then I still have to wait for them to cook my order. To me this defeats the whole purpose of placing the order ahead.But as usual the food was delicious!

The first time I tried Rays was a couple of years ago & it was delicious, so I became a return customer. With each subsequent visit, the quality of the food has severely diminished. At first, I thought maybe its just the cook that is on duty at the time, but as I kept giving chance after chance, thinking that this would be the time that theyd get it right, I was disappointed over & over again (waiting a couple of months between each visit). I order the same thing every time: Buffalo Chicken Strips & every time they are either burned, tiny or both. Today I received these tiny little strips, very lightly sauced (pictured) for $11.22. Got me again, Rays!!! I give up!!! This was the my final visit.
I really don’t want to give this review as I know this is a local family business and I’ll be happy to remove this review if you change the cast iron. Our food 2 orders of biscuits and 1 order of pancakes was surved to us in ice cold cast iron skillets. Our food was cold! The cold cast iron pulls the heat out of the food if it had been hot when it was placed it there. But we attempted to eat the food which was a mistake. The cast iron has not been properly taken care of and was rusty and made the food taste like metal! It was quite discussing. Cast iron should be used properly or not at all. It might look cute but at the cost of cold metal rusty food, it’s not worth it. My mouth still has the metal taste, and it’s been 30 or so minutes since we have taken those bites. I wanted to post a picture of the rusty cast iron but I have refrained and hope you address the matter ASAP.
My review is solely on the food and service as we didn’t get any coffee at this time.I was told that I really needed to try this place because the food was so good.Got there and was greeted right away. They were very attentive at the counter and took our order.First, they only brought out one of our burgers. We waited several minutes for the other one so the timing of the food was pretty off.On one of the burgers they forgot the fried jalapeños and the onion rings were burnt to a crisp. Guess somehow the order of fried pickles got lost somewhere in the process.2 of the young ladies who waited on us at the table, just seemed very lost or confused. I’m not sure if they were new or what.We had to go up to the counter and ask for our desert that we had paid for when we had originally ordered.Overall, I have them 3 stars because the food was pretty good even though my burger got cold waiting on fresh, not burnt onion rings and for my boyfriends food to come.But the service from our table (while the service at the counter was great), wasn’t so great.

The drive-through it is always messed up you need to go inside and order your food Thats the only time they get it right. Is 2 different pieces of bread for the sandwich smh every time they mess up in drive thur
The mobile unit on Hwy 47 makes better coffee. At least it was hot. The coffee on Branford Hwy was cold and not made the way I ordered.

The cold brew coffee was a solid 5 stars. However, I ordered a bacon/egg/cheese biscuit, was sent to wait in a parking spot for a little while (bearable wait nothing crazy) and when I got home realized she gave me someone elses order. It was some saucy burrito, not even close to what I ordered. I dont know if it was good or not because I didnt try it....

This place is great and worth the stop when in town. The food is delicious and not over priced. Not a coffee drinker but my friends really enjoyed theirs. All their desserts looked good but their carrot cake was absolutely phenomenal and sharable.
Always been a patron since Rays and always ready to stop by when traveling to Lake City!
They have some awesome seasoned fries, my burger I got was way over cooked and my wifes bacon burger was actually a blazin saddle burger. Other times I have gotten the cold sandwich and it is great. So usually I have a good experience which is why I gave them 4 stars! Friendly staff as well.

Rays Deli is one of the only places in Lake City that by the time you find a seat after placing your order your food is at your table. Their burgers are great and I especially like the sirracha chicken shown below with tater tots. The staff is friendly and helpful. (They do only serve Pepsi products so if you are a Coke lover you have been warned.)

Food is decent, service a little slow. You can sure tell Ray isnt running that place! Being a perfectionist has its annoyances but he ran a tight ship and it showed! Ray and Laura should start a trainings business...go to restaurants and lead the training seminars... I bet ya better results from Ray and Lauras seminars than you would Ronald McDonald!

Had a sandwich and other food there today. Sandwich bread was not cooked. Gooey. The sandwich did not have hardly any of the things I ordered. The other item we ordered was fried pickles. They were so over done. Nearly scorched. The place was decorators nicely but food was really sub par.

What a unique place! Im from Jacksonville and wish we had a Rays Deli and Grill there. Food is delicious, Restaurant with clean and unique. Large delicious burgers. If Im anywhere close to this place again I will be back!
We were in drive thru and waited 20 minutes total for 2 milkshakes. Usually not this slow.
This was our first visit and the reviews are on spec. The hand pressed burgers are excellent! The French Dip with au jus was done perfect! The service was abnormally slow, one person in our party of three had her meal 10 minutes before the rest of us and the bathroom was out of TP, which honestly made us laugh because of the times we live in! The carrot cake is just outstanding!!! I didnt have the coffee this trip, but will be back!
