My 2007 Honda Odyssey had the paint peeling below both sliding side door windows. I was told by a friend that not all Maacos charge the same, and boy were they right! I went to 2 different Maacos, and settled on the Lake Forest one. Their staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, and extremely helpful!! Hector looked at my car, and gave me an estimate that was $348.00 less than the other Maaco!!!! AND he didnt try to talk me in to painting the whole car, or adding unnecessary things. He had a good look, and told me the rest of the paint work is in good condition, which was good for being a 2007 vehicle. The other staff who helped me, Louie and Jennifer are super professional, and a joy to work with. I also met the owner Peter who is extremely gracious, and truly cares about his customers. I would not hesitate to refer Peters Maacos, he also owns one in Anaheim, and Costa Mesa. Not only did they give great customer service, the paint job is AWESOME!! Thank you Peter & staff! Youre the BEST!!

Wow, the shop was dirty. Patrick was quick to approach. I felt like I was buying a used car. Leave the car today and I can give you a real deal.. Let me work my magic on these numbers. Then came the...let me show you the work we just did, you will love it. I was shown a white car and when I pointed out the below par workmanship on the fender...he quickly stated that the owner of the car bought a cheap plastic fender. There were many areas on the car that the paint had overlapped on the rubber and metal. Patrick said, Oh, Im not done yet. Then why show this car as your pride of workmanship. Went to another MAACO and got a quote for $200.00 less (and the shop was clean).

They do great insurance work, but they paint classics too. Fantastic work on my Mustang, but unlike insurance work they missed deadline after deadline that they set. But I still highly recommend them. You just have to be patient on a classic. They did my Chrysler in 2 days and it came out awesome.

I took my truck to re-paint due to age, and got excellent service from Patrick; he explained the process and once I got my truck back, I was shocked of the great job this team did!!! Patrick was great! He explained the process in detail and answered all of my questions. Pricing was better than any I could get in the area for a full paint job. He also gaverecomendations on detail products. The paint came out great and matched the original so I was very happy. I have only had the car back for a few days, so can not speak to how the paint will wear, but I have a 5 yr warranty, so hopefully it will last!

Car was done promptly. Paint job was good on all sides and hood. On the top of SUV the color spray pattern from the painter can be seen and might be to thin.

Brought my car in the have a part painted. They had to remove the back hatch to paint the spot and when they reattached the hatch, they put the shocks on the wrong sides (there is a Left and a Right). It was obvious they were put on incorrectly because the hatch would not stay up. I cant believe no one checked this before telling me the job was done. I brought up the issue and was told, just bring it back another day and well fix it. Unbelievable.Also I had to call to find out what time it was going to be complete. When I asked if they could call me when it was ready, the guy said just come at 5pm.Would not recommend if they have to do any mechanical work to paint your car.

I paid $390 just for parts for my back light and I go pick up the car and they had GLUED YES GLUED THE BROKEN ONE TOGETHER !!!!!! unbelievable !!!

Took one of our vehicles out there for an estimate after it was hit in a rear end collision, Patrick went out of his way to do it while I waited and suggested that we bring it back for a longer stay to take the bumper off and inspect underneath since he was almost positive that there was hidden damage. The insurance company of course did not want to acknowledge that and initially send us a little check for the bumper only. I took the car back and Patrick called the insurance guy to come and see the damage and that added almost double the amount that was initially rewarded. On top of all that, when i went to pick up the car that I gave to them dirty outside after a rain storm, it was washed and spotless! I strongly recommend MAACO Lake Forest based on my excellent experience with the business and the personnel.

With over 50 years of driving experience on cars that usually are driven for over 250k miles, I have been to the body shop a few times, including two color changes. I am an experienced customer, and I can say that I was completely thrilled with the work performed at this Maaco earlier this year.This was a complete color change, so there was tons of prep that had to be done. I dropped in a few times, and it was all meticulous. With a complete color change, there were some difficult places to paint. All if it was done perfectly. I was blown away.This was the best auto body experience ever, and I am writing this after I did the first wax job about a month after the paint job. Hand waxing the SUV gave me a good chance to look very closely at the work, with a smile at every turn.Hats off to Patrick and Jennifer. They make a great team, and delivered an exceptionally fine product that exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

I did bodywork at Maaco (Lake Forest, CA) several times. Patrick Shane was my technician.Each time, the body work was excellent and the painting was close to a perfect match. The cost was also very reasonable. I even took my Tesla Model X there. Patrick Shane was also trained to repair Tesla’s. The cost turned out to be only a fraction of the bodyshop recommended by Tesla. No doubt, Patrick is the person I will go for all my future bodyshop work.

I had a tip from my Cuz, they were very good, painted 2 of their boys trucks, so took the guess work out. I found them easy n fair to work with, picking me up n dropping me off. PU after completion took me around vehicle reviewed truck with me, I noticed they had done some touch up on things not discussed or charged for, I took advantage of their special and the truck actually look nicer than when I bought it, quality to the max. Not satisfied with the service at all, we had the car in the shop for painting on 09/04/19 with the promised day of picking it up on 09/10/19 with the estimate fee of $1400 for full paint & fixing all dents.The car was not ready on 09/10 as it was promised.After picking up the car with delay on 09/14/19 the job was not done correctly & two dents was still left .Took the car back to the shop on Tuesday 09/17/19, the manager looked at it & said they haven’t seen those two dents & asked us to bring the car to the shop again to complete the unfinished job & repaint the whole car because the paint was not good at all . He said hecwould have it ready on Friday 09/20 to be picked up.Friday 09/20 that we sent to pick up the car the owner of the shop showed up yelling at us asking for more money to fix the dents claiming that his manager made a mistake giving us that estimate.Comparing the first estimate to other shops for the same job even the beginning estimation was too high & totally unprofessional & dishonest to ask us for money.Even on the receipt they mentioned that the car was in the shop just for three days which was totally wrong.I hope this review have someone to check on this owner’s shop to make sure there is no more deception.

MAACO did a very nice job painting my 2006 Toyota Highlander. The hood was covered with auto “acne” from road rocks before, and now its smooth and beautiful. The paint color appears to be a bit darker and more pewter but a definate improvement. That may be the color of the car when it was new but in any event, it’s a nicer color and huge improvement. Patrick and Jennifer were a pleasure to work with!

Spoke with them on the phone, asked about the paint job for a whole vehicle for $299, the guy on the other end confirmed that they do paint small vehicles for $299. I asked him if it would be cheaper to paint JUST the roof of my vehicle SUV for $299 he said NO, it would cost more.I asked him approximately how much and he couldnt even give me a BALLPARK figure.Another poster said not to go there because they absolutely have the Worst customer service, heck I didnt even have to go to the location to realize this.It feels like a good old BAIT & SWITCH to me. I think I will find a real body shop and take my car there.

They welded a few holes on the back sides n back, patch them. The finish project was great. Truck looks new. Will have another car painted by them.

I had my 18 year old 4Runner repainted after the hood and roof paint oxidized. Now it looks new and I couldn’t be happier! I’m amazed how great it looks! The price was right and it was ready when they said it would be.

Peter quoted me a price to repair the door on my Passat. He told me the price and that it included taking the door panel off and then replacing it. When I went to pick it up he gave me a much higher bill. I asked why the bill was higher and he said because they had to take off the door panel. I told him that he said it was already included in the original quote and he said basically I was lying. He then turned into a major A$$HOLE and told me if I didnt pay he would charge me storage starting that day forward. Why would you treat your customers that way? Does he not want repeat business?

The owner of this establishment is a slum lord, a cheat, a thief and not someone who you should ever want to do business with. He will scam you and lie to your face. Work was done almost on time with a good price. Driver seat was damaged in the process. Was told he would find someone to fix problem. Waited a week found someone myself had it repaired. Took bill by to Patrick Shean was told a check would be in the mail. STILL WAITING 5 days later. I do not recommend this shop. I am now revisiting my earlier review. After talking with the owner today July 15. Who was totally unaware of the the issues with the seat . Has handle the matter at hand. A check for the full amount of the repair and a applogy for the way everything was taken care of. I will not recommend Patrick Shane but the owner yesm

Maaco Lake Forest Cal. OUTSTANDINGI read a lot of reviews on the internet in search of an inexpensive paint job for my 12 year-old Dodge Dakota that I had left out in the elements its entire life. The paint was in such bad shape that it was actually peeling and cracked down to the metal. I mostly read poor reviews for other Maaco franchises but the one in Lake Forest got a number of good reviews. Turns out that all Maaco paint and body shops do not turn out the same quality of work. I was on a budget and didn’t want to spend $3000 to $3600, which I was quoted at other body shops, on and old “Junker” truck. Not expecting too much I brought the truck to Peter & Miguel at Maaco in Lake Forest. (Oh did I mention that I wanted to change the color from a lousy dark blue to an “Alpine” white?) Well Peter, Miguel and their crew FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTIONS. I was blown away when I got my truck back. It looked brand new! The pulled the bed away from the cab and painted the space in between. They sanded, prepped and primed the rest of the truck prior to shooting and the finished job had not a hint of orange peel and no runs anywhere. They even painted the door jambs. Let me say the paint came out smooth as silk and would be hard to tell from an original factory paint job. Now, let me state: I am not being paid or compensated in any way for writing this review. In fact I don’t know if Peter and Miguel even know I’m writing it. I just think someone who performs a great service at a more than fair price should get a good review. (Lord knows that there are too many people out there that don’t want to pay for decent job and than are quick to write a bad review.) So, to say that I’m happy with their work would be an understatement. And I would whole heartedly recommend this franchise to my friends and relatives. BTW the whole thing including some extras I wanted came to $1,406 OTD. That turns out to be $2,094 that a didn’t have to spend. LOVE IT!Dr. Gary Jones
