Love going shopping to this store. I love the great variety of products it offers. The store is clean and well organized. The employees are respectful and pleasant to deal with. They have the best ginger ale I have ever had anywhere. Best produce, best fish and meat sections. I wouldn’t change the shopping and quality experiences this store offers for any other store in the area. Love Whole Foods.
Today is the very last time I will go to this Whole Foods location. The shelves are empty! Management should be embarrassed. I went in today looking for bottled iced tea and there were literally 2 bottles on the shelf and not the variety I was looking for. I was looking for a pie in the bakery and the glass cases were pretty bare. Ironically whenever I go in there workers are always in the way stocking the shelves that never seem to have anything on them. I’ll waste the gas and go to the Commack location instead of wasting my time here. Bye bye 👋 Lake Grove🥴!
We stop there now only for certain items if they have them. Everything is pretty bare. In turn its caused us to go to Trade Joes and other stores.I did attempt to contact certain. Food Carries for direct delivery of certain products we like since WF is constantly a gamble sadly due to contracts I cant orders .So bottom line Whole Foods is a shot in the dark if they have X farms food and due to contracts WF owned by Amazon has you locked out of being able to independently buy the item from x farms .THIS IS NOT A CONSUMER FRIENDLY SYSTEM!
You know what you’re getting when you shop at Whole Foods.. A huge selection of wonderful health food products, great fresh organic produce, healthy prepared foods (including pizza, sushi and a huge salad bar).... But all of these come with a HUGE price tag.. That’s just the reality of shopping here.. Their acquisition by Amazon/Bezos hasn’t dropped the prices either.. If you are savvy and pay close attention to their prices you can really do well by shopping here.. You’ll occasionally find sale or discounted items that offer great savings, and if you’re an Amazon Prime member you can save a percentage on your entire purchase. But ultimately there are certain things that you can buy here that you just won’t find anywhere else.. For our family it’s definitely worth the effort and the trip.. Although we always combine our shopping trips here with a stop (first!) at Trader Joe’s across the street.. Its helpful to check their selection and prices first, and pay a little more at Whole Foods for the few items that you can only find here.. Besides the high prices, shopping at the Lake Grove Whole Foods location is a great way to support and supplement a healthy diet and lifestyle of you live on the East End of Long Island..
Its Whole Foods. Consistent food you want/need as well as discoveries to enhance the culinary life of any taste you can think of. Today, fresh anchovies were a serendipitous moment of wonder.Karen at customer service deserves a raise. Given the visit took place on a Saturday evening, the store was mostly recovered from the days traffic. The missing star? Closed bathroom. Just completely unacceptable. Seriously. Get that remedied.
Love the diversity & quality of this store. It’s nice not having to check ingredients because Whole Foods is particular about what they put on their shelves.
Was very pleased with my visit this morning. Pricing of organic foods very reasonable. Was my 1st time in the store, I usually order for delivery. The employees noticed I needed help navigating isles for products, basically I looked lost, and they approached me to see if I needed help, very impressed. Was looking for Silver hill sprouted breads, I wish they carried the bagels, english muffins, or rolls. Other than that I would definately recommend. The shoppers for Amazon prime home delivery also do a great job of picking fresh produce.
Love the seafood department. I go there most of the time when we want fish. Never disappointed. The produce is perfect. Store is clean.
First time in this place in a year or two. Disappointed that they no longer carry some stuff i could thrive on. No longer carries bulk itens like chia, barley various mixtures of granola etc. Probably due to covid but that whole section shrunk down to one small corner of the store so it looks like its not coming back
This is a very good store overall. However, there is a big problem with the employees/amazon shoppers/instacart/etc that needs to be fixed from a corporate level for reasons of EFFICIENCY. I would like to preface this by saying, it is a wonderful service to shop for those who can not go to the store safely during the pandemic. BUT, lets not confuse the shoppers who are employees of Whole Foods/Amazon and the actual customers. The companies that provide food delivery services are INTERNAL customers whereas normal shoppers are EXTERNAL customers. There are many times these employees are in the way of regular shoppers, blocking aisles, constantly distracted on their phones looking at orders, and not respectful of the personal space that should be obeyed during a global pandemic. They also move around the store with an air of entitlement as if they dont need to be courteous. My proposal is this: If they are part of some type of food delivery service that provides groceries then they are not external customers of Whole Foods. They are INTERNAL customers and they should not be allowed to shop in the aisles. Whole Foods should have a system where these people come in to fulfill orders, a Whole Foods employee receives the goods from stock (as in the back room, warehouse, etc.) and they are moved on their way. Whole Foods should develop a system whereby this can be done expeditiously and not intrusively to the customers that are trying to get in and out efficiently. They should be handled like delivery people that receive goods at the dock or in the warehouse. This would also limit the number of people in the store at once since there is also clearly no measures to limit the occupancy of the store.
🤪 mmm whole foooods
Great selection, very fresh veggies and fruit!
This is like, the only place I ever find cotton candy grapes. They get 5 stars just for that.
Always clean always nice crew problem too expensive sometimes by more than 40 % for the same item somewhere else
Fresh produce and large variety to choose from.
This place is very good. Clean, maintained, nice staff, all that stuff you would expect from a good store. I havent gone here much but I do know that its amazing both on the exterior and the interior. Overall review: Definitely 5/5 stars!
Good store. Hope more indoor seating opens soon.
Great location, and quality of produce with friendly staff.
Poor customer service. They refused to honor the 2 dollar refund on glass bottles that they sold me. There are no other places in the area that sell milk or egg nog in these glass bottles. The manager said their new policy is 90 days. If thats the case, the cashier should of told me upon purchase that there would be a time limit!!! Thanks for the waisted time, gas, and money.
This place is great! Lilian, a cashier there was amazing!!
The Florist Department does amazing work! I ordered 7 sunflower mason jar centerpieces for my sisters bridal shower they were absolutely gorgeous! I got so many compliments on them and at the end of the bridal shower everyone wanted to take one home. I really appreciated how nice the members of the florist department were and that everything was ready to go at the time I requested!
Im liking Whole Foods. Theyre kind of like Jo-Ann fabrics to me and Michaels. I go to these places and Im inspired. Whole Foods does the same lots of things I want to try in my kitchen.
Great shopping experience. Love the cleanliness! The store associates are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy coming out with something new and different every time! My favorite section is the sushi. They roll them right in front of you and I have tried just about every one, and almost love them all!
Besides the great quality and quantity of healthy food, Im writing to compliment the staff members for displaying a high level of professionalism and kindness. Thanks!SteveWading River
Sprawling and well stocked selection of anything you might need to put together an amazing meal or keep up your diet of choice.
Large selection of organic foods that are hard to find.
Great friendly neighborhood store, everything in stock fairly often, amazing prices & Quick delivery!!!
Good selection of organic food
I love the tiramisu cake so deeply.
Good food. Wonderful selection. Fish is always fresh and they inform you as to whether the fish is wild or farmed, which I appreciate. Prices are high but as a prime member, you get discounts and special low priced sale items.Fruit and vegetable selection is outstanding and the quality is on par with local supermarkets.Very good coffee selection and outstanding breads. Highly recommend. Would normally give 5 stars because this place is great and they do just about everything right, however, even with Amazon discounts, the prices are very high.
Nice clean not crowded good staff a little pricey i like it
Our go-to store for weekly grocery shopping.
I went there today. Im trying this vegan thing out. I found everything that i came for. Everyone was so friendly and helpful ! I was really pleased.i will be going back real soon. All super markets should operate like this one💯 if i could i would give them ten stars ⭐ me and my daughter cant wait to go back! Great place to shop
Great selection of local brand!
Dont buy milk here. Twice Ive bought milk that smelled nasty and had a weird aftertaste when I first opened it (well before the expiration date). Yeah I still tried it after I smelled it, whole foods is too expensive to give up that easily. Two separate brands (one was whole foods brand). Other than that, its what you would expect from all other whole foods. Also, this one has really narrow aisles, so it gets pretty chaotic with all of the delivery workers running around.
The selection can be daunting if youve never been there before. Similar set up to generic grocery stores but very specific organization because there is so many different types of health food out there. If youre only looking for a specific thing and/or dont really know the store layout (thus a disadvantage to guesstimate knowledge of location), at least try to know what your item would be classified as and the aisle markers with the item topics across the top youll find are then incredibly, correct.
We shop here frequently. One of our frequent purchases is the Belcanto espresso coffee. The flavor is good and the grind they do at the store is perfect for my finicky espresso machine. The other day we bought whole beans, forgetting to have them ground. I brought the beans to the store today to get them ground- its not the first time we forgot lol- but its been a while. The young lady told me she wasnt sure if she could do that because the bag had been opened and with the covid concerns, it might not be a good idea. Im a bit of a germaphobe, and frankly i didnt even think of that. The woman at the front desk gave me a replacement bag of the ground espresso. This review and 5 stars its not for the free coffee, but for the diligence of the staff in keeping things clean and safe for its customers. I was very impressed.
It gets real in the Whole Foods parking lot.. lol
I love this whole foods. They have just about every obscure health item you could think of. Goji berries, cacao nibs, cashew kefir, tempeh, etc. Even special parking for my Prius though the fuel efficient sign is subjective and therefore hard to enforce. I like that I get cash back on my Amazon card now but that could be a bad thing lol.
It depends what your into I not a health nut but I find the chicken taste better and there meats and they deliverIf your a prime member look out for good weekly sales
The store is very clean and very well stocked. Always have what Im looking for this particular product that I might need.
They always seem to have the hard-to-find ingredients I need!
Not as safe as it should be. I was there today and there was a deli worker without his mouth and nose covered!! He had a bandana on but it rested below his face and didnt cover anything. Except when he talked with customers then hed lower his chin enough that he looked covered but he wasnt covered when he turned too work with food. Plus some of the delivery workers lower their masks below their noses as well. Not good. Be careful!!
Expensive! Only three cashiers open and lines were long.
The store was packed!!! There is no social distancing here but everyone is wearing a mask. The prices were right up there like usual... Whole Paycheck
My husband and I are prime members. We have seen a huge change in this Whole Foods, ever since it was bought out by Amazon. There are too many prime shoppers hustling around the store. They are always in the way. It’s chaotic and takes away from a relaxing experience. The hot buffet is just about gone. They pre-package everything. It feels like they the food options are limited. I miss the hot buffet. I miss the meal deal with a protein and two sides. We would always grab lunches or dinners there together. In addition, the women’s restrooms were filthy! There were flys, each stall was a mess. I might have caught COVID-19. Does anyone sanitize or clean the restrooms? Hard to imagine this is a place I would feel so proud of shopping at. I’m disappointed. I miss the original WF.
Super clean and organized surprised to see a great selection of local craft breweries here
Great produce. Prime Now food deliveryYoull pay extra for the produce, but they have a larger variety at a superior quality than a budget markets. If going to the grocery store isnt your thing you can do all of your grocery shopping through the Prime Now app and have you food delivered to your doorstep in a few hours.
This is a whole different level of grocery shopping..
Decent location and conveniently located next to Trader Joe’s, where I do the rest of my shopping. I was able to find cheap soap for two dollars, which I’ve found to be more expensive in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Also, can’t complain that there’s a lot of attractive women coming from the gym next-door, so that’s a plus if you’re looking for food and decent people watching
Having to follow a dairy and soy free diet, this is one of the places that offers the most options. I also like the fact that the staff is always helpful. If you cant find something they dont just tell you what isle, they walk you to the the area and show you the options.
Great, this is actually the first time shopping here and I must say it has been great very well organized courteous staff and they were very helpful with my shopping experience definitely going to recommend this place and I shall return to shop.
Great selection of cold cuts sandwiches and other groceries
Pricey, but was excited to use my Amazon app for the discount
It’s the best store in the whole wide world! 😃
My primary grocery store. I order for 2-hour delivery on my phone a lot. Tons of organic produce and grass fed meat - more selection of that kind of thing than anywhere else. Also the people there are very helpful and nice. The flowers cost more than, say Trader Joes, but I find they last longer and generally fuller.
I always make a stop here when I go to Trader Joes. I mainly come for the great selection of meat they have. The quality is 100% better than your other local supermarkets.
Clean store and friendly staff.
There is a reason they call this store Whole Pay Check. Nice selections of food, but there are no real bargains to be found....even if you use the app....but on the other hand, most of the product offerings are superior to what you find in your typical grocery store...so worth the visit..just make sure you have a line of credit established with the bank...youll easily pay double over what your normally spend 😆
Fresh and local produce check and checkmate. Employees are very helpful. I was not sure if I wanted to buy some weird looking fruit and an employee went and got one for me to try. It was so good I ended up purchasing 5. You can also send your amazon package here with the Amazon locker. If you ever get a chance to try their hot and cold food by the pound definitely try it. This is a great place to have lunch with a sitting area to enjoy the wonderful meal. The pizza and the baked items are to live for. There are many vegetarian, vegan and meat loving options. This is truly a place where there is something for every palette.
Family shops here .excellent.
Great variety of foods. Friendly staff. Prices are somewhat high though. Big selection of hot and cold foods to make up your own takeout meals sold by the pound. I was never a big fan of this salad bar type setup do to possible sanitary issues, but it looks pretty popular with the regulars I saw there. Lots of millennials shop there. I am a Senior myself 🤓 however. Although I am an Amazon Prime member, my account was not found in their system . I installed the app after I left and have the QR code to show next visit.
Very fresh and delicious foods. Now owned by Amazon. I enjoy the selection here. The food looks so fresh that I want to eat it all up. I bought a few cakes here and the recipient loved it. Definitely recommend trying out the baked goods here too. Some of the prices got lowered since the Amazon acquisition. Still cant use Amazon gift cards here.
This store went down the hill. Makes so mad, because I used to shop here 4+ times a week. The last time I came was a month ago. I left because several people were not wearing a mask. When I went to customer service to report them the employee wasnt wearing a mask either.Today I went back bc I needed an specific item. They have a security guard at the front door (doing what? Idk). Again several people NOT wearing a mask. I was there for 5 min tops. As Im leaving a customer without is talking to the guard. This is a circus. After reading other reviews here and on Facebook I can tell is not just me who experienced this issues.DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!
Nice place
Just started shopping here, love the large variety of organic fruits and vegetables. Also love the salad bar options. Even their bakery (which i am very picky about) was decent. I visit this store at least once every few weeks and often cant wait to come back.
Very nice clean store, friendly staff, good prices
Honestly enjoyable place to work.
I find this store to be kind of disorganized, particularly compared to the Commack location. Even though it was pretty empty tonight, a Monday, I had to work my way around multiple employees blocking entire aisles to shop for delivery orders. At one point, I asked an employee to help me find a juice that I buy nearly every time I go to the Commack Whole Foods. She said she didnt know where it was, then promptly went back to staring at the shelf. The dairy section was also a wreck, with expired yogurts and lots of things out of place. I probably wont bother with this location again.
I love this wholefoods and have shopped here since it opened. It is beautiful, clean and for the most part people are friendly and helpful. They stock numerous items I need for my dietary requirements due to health issues that I would not be able to find elsewhere. But I am very upset that during the covid crisis I have not been able to get one single delivery time. I tried to call amazon and they have no phone service and the chat is useless. I called the store- the employee I spoke with was not concerned at all that I was high risk and could no longer safely come to the store to shop. She suggested I come at night even though they are closing 3 hours early now because there are few people there then. This store has made no special accommodations for people like me who are high risk but who are not 60 and up, while many other grocery stores in this area are opening an hour early for all high risk categories. Now I have covid and pneumonia and I am isolated at home so I can’t go out to shop at all due to being contagious. I was able at first to put items in my shopping cart at amazon for WF but I never saw any available deliveries except once in several weeks now and when I clicked on it it didnt work and then vanished. Then I noticed a button to click to sign up, I thought maybe it would work then but NO. It says we will contact you when you are able to shop. That was two weeks ago at least and I have never been contacted. The deliveries I managed to schedule with other stores were very problematic. The last one via instacart at Shoprite, was a joke. The shopper brought me a bag of candy and none of the other items I had in my cart. No chicken, she said that brand was not available, so I asked why didnt you get another one, call me etc. she claimed to have let me know via the app. But I got no message. I wrote a message that any brand was ok when I placed the order. What an idiot. She also knocked on the door when I asked for contactless delivery.I am very disappointed that after shopping at WF since they opened about 10 years ago, I can’t get any type of service during this crisis and no one cares.
Fresh organic foods, pizza station, extensive food bar, prepared take out meal kits.
Quality grocery products with professional staff, overall good, recommend 👍👍
If you think you and your family are worthy of the freshest, healthiest, and tastiest food available, shop here!! This store is outstanding in every way.
This Whole Foods has become over-run with people pulling orders for delivery. I assumed that when I showed up for early opening for seniors they would discontinue this practice but they were still there, not practicing social distancing pushing in front of you and blocking you from accessing what you need to get. I can only imagine what a madhouse it becomes after the senior hours are over. Dont go here at least for now.In the future Whole Foods should open a central warehouse to pull delivery orders because this has become ridiculous.
A huge variety of absolute top quality groceries, meat, fish, cheese, prepared foods, produce, frozen and naturally safe home products.Prime delivery service is available (get app) and is a huge convenience with 1 or 2 hr delivery windows. Love it all!
Very very good grocery
Not a bad place, just a bit overwhelming and pricy!
Not reminding people to put their masks on even when brought to the managers attention
Good selection of products, but each time I go here I encounter rude customers and equally rude, slow, and apathetic staff. Not impressive at all. The army of staff walking around fill orders are very obnoxious as well.
Really expensive but good selection
Beautiful store, very clean and well out together. Friendly a d knowledgeable staff and many great products.
Let me be clear, I love this store but they need to reevaluate the quality of their organic fruits. Buy them (some not all) firm in the store but nearly rotted half way in and down to Pitt or seed. The worse offenders for me are Nectarines, apples and sometimes lemons. Please figure this out as I want to continue to shop here.
Love the vegetarian sushi, if you can’t find something there they will make anything you’d like rite on the spot. They also have vegan pies, cakes and cupcakesMy go to store
Been going here for awhile now since the quality and variety of produce, soy products, and ethnic items surpass any other grocery store. It’s always been more expensive than competitors, but they provide what I need for my diet.I only felt the need to make a review because of the recent influx of Prime Now employees. There’s more of them than there are actual shoppers every time I’m there. They’re always leaving their carts in the way, they sit on their phones/devices, and they’re generally rude. Between actual shoppers and Whole Foods employees stocking shelves they greatly contribute to how congested the store can get. Every shopping trip is infuriating and this almost justifies getting my groceries delivered.
Simply great
Whole Foods produce is the best in the area. Purchases from their produce department will last longer than any other place in the area. I drive 20 mins out of my way to come here for shopping trips because I know they have items that I cant find and produce that lasts.
This store is so much better than any other supermarket in the area. How can anyone shop at Stop and Shop when their produce is so wilted and most of it is not organic. Their fruit prices maybe cheaper but they are not organic. My only reservation is with the fuel economy parking. I see huge vans and trucks parked on these spots. They dont care. Im surprised that anyone driving these monster cars would shop at Whole Foods. They should go to Meat Farm.
Salad bar has declined in quality, freshness, and variety over last couple years. Old vegetables. They also dont sell fresh bison like other Whole Foods. Pretty weak effort considering its New York. New Mexico, Alabama Whole Foods were far better (which is actually interesting considering the socio economic dynamics)
Great selection and atmosphere with surprisingly good prices. I just wish this place was closer to my house! It is an awesome place for vegans.
Amazing selection in a wonder of a supermarket, I have been in other Whole Foods stores in other areas before the Amazon era. There is an apparent difference here than elsewhere. They serve hot dishes-you make your plate, the food is terrific, the prices might sum above my budget. One of the advantages here is a coffee bar and plently of seating for business meetings and college study.
Love whole foods only problem is I can never leave without spending $150-$200. I go there for their frozen veggies and soy products. Great selection of vegetarian foods.
Yes this place is expensive but it’s open late every day, 95% of their produce is fresh, and they have everything I need.I asked customer service if they had something specific that myself and another employee couldn’t find. They HaPpiLy helped me and went above and beyond what I expected.I just came back from 6FLAGS and 9 / 10 employees were straight up miserable. Whole Foods everyone is happy to help. I tip my hat to WholeFoods for treating their employees and customers right ! Hit em with the Hein 👍🏼
Place is nice, clean and organized. The products we bought very happy with. Plenty of parking and and I mean big AND your groceries are packed in paper bags, love it)))))
Extremely disappointed i could not find Oreos i was da in the mood for em and couldn’t find em. Btw to much single use plastic all over I’m seeing turtles tangled in it everyday
I love whole foods. The food has a tendency to be a little expensive, but you pay for the quality and selection of foods available. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh, delicious, and healthy. Plus, they have many different options for vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore lifestyles.
Expensive shopping experience. But probably the only place to get vegan stuff for a friend. Things are usually over priced compared to regular stores. But they do have more sustainable food options available here
