Best customer service Ive experienced in a LONG time! I went in to purchase 3 pairs of pants and they were marked $29.99 but rang up for $34.99. The associate, Adriana, didnt hesitate to do the right thing and change the price to what they were marked.I was also there to pick up an order I had placed online. Even though I hadnt received the email confirmation that my order was ready, I thought maybe I could get lucky and itd be ready. Carol went above and beyond and went to pick my order. It was ready in only a few minutes! Its obvious these associates are being trained well to provide excellent customer first service.

Kinda disappointed, they had everything else under the sun except some decent flashlights. Slim pickens is what I found.. who would think that about Academy Sports & Outdoors..??

I shopped this store and the people were so nice helping me purchase a kayak. The service people were so helpful and made the checkout so easy. I recommend this store to anyone that needs help with an awkward purchase, such as a kayak. They made it so easy checking out.

Stopped her to gather some beach camping supplies since its near the coast and carries more ocean gear than other inland stores. The staff is helpful and pleasant, and we got everything we needed (crab nets and boiling kettle) and more. Highly recommended.

I was there to get new arrows for my recurve. Academy has decent selection of arrows but I couldnt get the ones with feather. The readily available arrows are in plastic.

This is a great store for selection of sporting goods. But to me their prices just arent competitive. I can almost always find what they have for 10-20% less elsewhere or online.

Its a fun place it has many outdoor equipment and fun outdoor machetes for you and your family and sometimes for just yourself if you dont have a family if you like to catch fishes or if you like to hunt animals and you need the equipment to attack them with much accuracy and vengeance then this place will want to be shopping. My only complaint is sometimes I hunt down the crayfish and I used trap to capture them and I seen no traps for crawfish or any other types of crayfish traps or crayfish trapping devices this disappointed me as I know any true place supplying hunting Fishing needs should always have a crayfish catching trap as part of their basic necessities that they offer

I had a question about 2 items. Asked a man, James, about products. He took both items to the front, got all the info I needed & I mentioned I would put 1 of the items back. James said he would do that, no problem. He was really nice & went out of his way to help. When I checked out at the register, John wasfriendly & we talked about the products &He told me if I any problems, to keep the receipt. I was asked on the way out if everything went ok & I had everything I needed. Thanks James & John for such great service!

I went to Academy looking for a inexpensive mans tshirt that would be longer on me than a womens as tall and wanted to wear it with my workout capris and have my bottom covered for modesty. I found one there and got it to try. Hopefully itll be what Im looking for!!

Store was clean and well stocked but we went to buy a couple of fold up lawn / Beach chairs and waited18 minutes in the line to check out. They werent that busy but they only had one cashier working and they were tied up working with an elderly lady trying to return an item without a receipt. The store manager stood there mostly staring off in space. It is maddening to stand there waiting to pay and the store employees seemingly dont give a rip. The one cashier was working at the cash register directly under a big sing the read -- Customer Service---. The chairs are great, I should have unpacked and used them while i waited!!!.

Overall experience was good. I was able to get pepper spray, personal alarm and the ammo Id been looking for. We all know how hard it is to find ammo nowadays.

Just left Academy. Sales associates were helpful.This store has signs posted to wear a mask upon entering and to wash your hands for 20 seconds in the restroom, but the COVID prevention standards are not upheld. Masks with a large majority of shoppers were not enforced, even when the customer was at the register... starts deducted.

This location has USUALLY been decently okay my only issue is that I can never find a good pair of shoes if you like Nikes this is the place for you anything else is few and far between unless you want last years selections ; whoever does inventory here is 65 plus at least cause there always lagging behind the time and trend and the prices are NOT the best it is high in this local market due to lack of competition otherwise the prices would be decent ; black Friday even was laughable at this location.

I had heard that Academy will price match. I went in and found the Columbia Hat I saw online and showed the cashier the add and she matched it. I was so happy. This is the first Columbia Hat i have ever owened.

They have just about everything you need except ammo. They dont have many pistols like they used to have. This is a super hood all around sports store. I visit everytime I go into LJ. Stop by and give them a look. I bet you buy something.

The store was a disappointment. They no longer carry old smoky bbq pits or replacement parts . The employees acted like they never heard of them .

I always enjoy visiting Acedemy. Since they remodeled and updated the checkout area, it is so much smoother making it out the door. Its kind of the only sporting goods store in town, so options are limited in the respect, but luckily it has just about everything.

I bought some shoes online for my kids. Both pair insoles came right out and one of the pair was the wrong size! Trying to buy online to avoid going to out store ..and still had to go to the store🙄. I was very pleased with the employees at this store, very understanding and willing to help. The cashier even let me know that the shoes in store were a little cheaper and offered to give me the difference back on my card which was $15 between the two pair of shoes.

Generally clean, well maintained. Less choices than other Academy stores Ive visited. Low on knowledgable staff to help with fish finders.

I needed to exchange a holster for my firearm, and wanted to do so properly (without police intervention). Megan, whom Id met before during a previous sale, escorted me back to her department, and was VERY courteous and polite, while at the same time very well versed in the kind of holster I wanted. She provided me with several options and we found one that was a perfect fit. Once the selection was made, she escorted me all the way to the storefront, where she provided me with my firearm, my purchase, and bid me a good evening. Hard to ask for much more. I look forward to seeing Megan for my next accessories purchase, and hope that she is well-rewarded for her excellent customer service skills.
