This is an excellent eye doctor, unfortunately one of the ladies at the front desk needs a course on customer service. I was so taken back by her attitude I cancelled my appointment and went elsewhere.

The staff in ronkonkoma is amazing from the girls behind the counter to the eye doctors and rich who helps you pick out your glasses.They are all super kind and helpful go out of there way to help you and make sure you get everything u need and walk out happy. Top Notch business all aroundSandi J

Worst receptionist you will even meet, very rude and disrespectful with the very bad attitude. My appointment was at 4:30pm but I got a call at 2:30pm from one of the receptionist and asked if I could come at 3:00pm because someone was canceled their appointment and I said I’m at work there’s no way I’ll be able to make it at 3:00pm. So they keep my 4:30 appointment and luck rush hour traffic of 495 east bound I was little late to my appointment I called them and notified them that I’m getting late but when reached at the sachem eye care the receptionist said you’re 15 minutes late and I said I called you and notified you that I’m running late due to the traffic jam she goes where’s the referral I gave her( they ask me bring a referral from my primary care physician) this referral is not gonna work you have to bring another referral from your insurance company not the primary care provider referral and did not seen me for my eye appointment and gave a business card and asked to make another appointment.This is my last time hereDefinitely will try a different eye doctor

This place is excellent...if you ask me. The doctors are very knowledgeable and friendly and so is the front desk staff. I called and got an appointment the SAME DAY and they have good Covid safety measures in place. I am very happy I came here. The service Dr. Gentile provided me was fast, reliable and friendly. I went to Dr. Gentile for a while, I thought he was great until a great disappointment that he doesn’t care unless he’s making money. I saw him for my regular visit 6 months ago I paid half for my glass and I couldn’t afford to pock them up ( that’s on me)DR. Gentile specificity said he wants to see me back when I pick up my glasses his concern was I have floaters in my eyes.My GP gave me a physical and said my eyes need attention, he gave me a referral. I called Dr. Gentiles office and the secretary said she would speak with him .. She called me back and stated Dr. Gentile can’t see me with out an extra 60 dollars because I had an eye test already six months ago. I don’t get it I have insurance. If he/ checked my files they would see I do and read the referral that I need to be seen, but I guess he didn’t care. I’m picking up my glasses and plan to not look back.When I went to pick up my free glasses I was on crutches and the girl barely opened the door to hand them to me. I’m not sure what happened to that place but I would recommend not to waste your time. As, now I have to find someone that would care to give me an appointment.Shame on him.

I go here every year for my annual eye exam. They are very respectful, never make you wait too long and Dr Chris Gentile is a rock star. He is hands down the best optometrist around. Ive been to ophthalmologists that dont give as thorough exam as Dr. Gentile does. He is concise and clear in his explanations and warm and friendly to his patients.

My mom was treated very well by the doctor and tech are both amazing! The only problem is the rude receptionist Jackie when I was trying to make an appointment for my mother. Very short and unfriendly compared to the rest of the staff. My only complaint so be aware of her.

I found a new eye doctor! Havent been to one in 4 years and just moved to the area.The whole staff were friendly and helpful.Dr Brooks was a pleasure to deal with. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, i had filled out most of my paperwork online shortly after making my appointment, so the paperwork was minimal when I arrived. They took me before my appointment as it was fairly slow in the evening when my appointment was. The office they all occupy is small so I could imagine on the weekends it could be busy and packed. However the attentive staff would probably handle that with ease, as they were all on top of their game.

Absolutely Phenomenal Optometrist.(Short story): A foreign object injured my eye, I went to see a different optometrist in the area. After a combined 2 visits and 4-5 hours of wait time my eye was still not 100%. I made the decision to contact Dr. Gentile as a new patient. NOT ONLY DID HE SEE ME ON THE SAME DAY HE FIXED MY EYE WITHIN 30 MINUTES. Absolutely Phenomenal, Thank you Dr. GentileSR

Ive been going to Sachem Eye Care since I was a little girl, over 20 years. Today they got me in on a last minutes notice and I got my brand new glasses. Couldnt be happier with their service, staff and the options they have for glasses. Highly recommened Sachem Eye Care!!

5 Star service from beginning to end. Friendly receptionists, Dr. Murphy took her time to explain every test, treatment and follow up. I had previous frustrating experiences with sales reps and was nervous but this place I can truly recommend. Richie was calm. had a LOT of patience while I surfed between frames, never felt rushed or pushed to buy a fancy expensive brand with add ons I found a perfect fit for my current budget and I will come back for an upgraded frame very soon 😊. An all around 5 🌟 place!

I have to say I had the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had shopping for eye glasses today. Rich was able to listen to my wants and narrow my selection down to help me find a great pair at a great price in a short time. Very helpful and patient. I had my first visit in the Ronkonkoma office yesterday and I was very impressed and completely satisfied. Everyone working there was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr. Brooks is my doctor, who joined the company recently, and the reason for my going to Sachem Eye Care. I couldnt be happier with my visit. This is the BEST eye professional office I have been to, and there have been six others. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

Eye exam was fine. But since I got my glasses in April 2019 Ive had to go back 3 times to have them repaired. The nose pads keep falling off. I work 2 jobs and dont have time for this. There glasses are cheap and not worth the money.

Great doctors...make all effort to help you understand the problem or area which needs attention however...experience deteriorates as you move to glasses section. I have been there 4-5 times and always feel that a favour is being done versus providing options. Cost of glasses and frames is high as compared to places like Costco ...definitely should work on improving this area.

Doctor is good but staff was so horrible. I waited for my turn for almost 1 hour even I filled out my paper work in 2 mins and I got there 15 mins early prior to my appointment. They should change their staff.

I JUST HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE @ SACHEM EYE CARE IN RONKONKOMA. DR. GENTILE IS LITERALLY GENTILE!!! HE IS THE BEST. COURTEOUS STAFF. I was told You picked the most expensive frames in the store Then I waited for the doctor and overheard him run his act again !! He told the very next customer that she picked the most expensive frames in the store. Stay away - I am telling everyone I know. Scam - these people think we are stupid.Im Going to Davis Vision !!!
