Love this restaurant! Food was very tasty and everything was super fresh. Souvlaki and mixed meat dishes were amazing and brought us back to Mediterranean for a moment :)In addition to great food, everything was very clean and our waitress was really really nice.At the end we had a great chat with the chef (I assume the owner too).My family loves Greek/Cypriot cuisine and this is definitely one of the best Cypriot/Greek restaurants in New York if not the best. Cant wait to go back!
Fantastic fresh food. We had lunch there today and everything was top-notch. Loved the decor as well. Our waitress Kim was efficient and sweet. The owner came over to ask us how everything was. This will be my new Greek go to restaurant!
We came here on a whim for lunch and so glad we did. Andreas helped us decide what to pick from the extensive menu and we ordered the two appetizer samplers. The dishes were very fresh, light, and full of flavor. I particularly loved the green bean salad that I suppose was a courtesy. The olives were not too briny. The homemade stuffed grape leaves were different from any others I’ve tried before. Even the walnut cake was delicious and a generous portion size as well. And most importantly, the attention to service was unlike anything I would expect from an American establishment. You really feel transported to another world! Top marks for this humble gem.

The food was made fresh for every plate, the lamb plate and kebabs were DYNAMITE! Thoroughly impressed with the price-to-quality ratio! Huge bang for your buck with TONS of delicious food. Even had some to take home for 2nd dinner! Ordered a Greek salad with $10 worth of gyro on the side and the amount of gyro they gave me was despicable. Also asked for a large yogurt sauce and gave me this little thing or yogurt sauce that i went through so easily. Def will not be going here anymore Akropolis down the street gives you more bang for your buck.
Absolutely fabulous food! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. I used Mesoyios to cater my daughter’s baby shower on 5/30/21. Everyone loved and asked “ Where did you get this food?”. The portionsWere so generous, we had more than enough delicious food. The owner is very nice and knows how to cater a party. The delivery was perfect. I can’t wait to have dinner with my family there.

The gyro a la greco is from another world. Really very authentic Greek and Cypriote food. The owners are very generous and welcoming. I recently moved to Long Island and this place is my go to at least one every 2 weeks.

The gyros are a little small but adequate. Our favorite Greek restaurant in Nesconset is closed on Sundays. I forgot to ask them to put the cucumbers on the the side in the Greek salad. They were coarsely chopped and impossible to avoid. That is on me. If the urge hits me on a Sunday they are my first choice, any other day I go to our favorite.

Our favorite Greek restaurant! We moved into the area years ago, and once we tried Mesoyios, we knew we found a gem! Repeat customers ever since our first try. The owner is wonderful and takes pride in his restaurant and the food prepared. Other Greek restaurants just seem sub-par now. Mesoyios definitely holds the bench mark for us. It’s a cozy, quiet, spotlessly clean restaurant with delicious food. Before COVID shut everything down last March - we purposely picked this restaurant to eat in - because 1) we knew it would be a great “last meal” out as a family and 2) we knew it wouldn’t be overcrowded and it would be clean, as it always is.I personally love the chicken Athenian, their greek salads (love that they are chopped!) with grilled chicken on the side (perfectly seasoned). We’ve tried a number of menu items and all have been great - but the funny thing is - we also love their French fries! Sooo good! There is decent parking around back along with a back entrance - so don’t be deterred if you are doing an order pick up for takeout or dining in if Hawkins feels too busy for Main Street parking. Give them a try & thank me later. ;)

My first time here wont be the last! Mom took me here for my birthday. Charming cozy place! A perfect setting. Typical Greek blue/white color scheme and painted murals of Greece BUT tastefully done and furnished. Nice home - y feel (check very nice rest rooms) We ordered lemon egg drop soup, deluxe Greek salads and retsina wine. All very fresh and delicious!! Very generous portions! Great friendly service! Memorable.

My husband tried it the second night and he loves it too now. I came here 3 nights in a row already this week. Im pregnant so I been craving Greek food and this is the place to go. Weve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Love, love, love the Shrimp Santorini over bow ties. Haloumi cheese rocks! And the sidewalk seating is very nice. Its our go-to place.
Our first experience at this establishment. We so-o enjoyed our Saturday lunch date. The atmosphere was pleasant as we relaxed and the music played. We ordered Lamb & Beef Gyros, Pork Souvlakia, Veggie Melt, and the House Salad. Delicious, delicious, delicious! Three bean salad appetizer delicious as well. The server was very attendant and the cook/chef even came out to ask if our food was to our liking. Delicious!! We plan on visiting this establishment again. It will take awhile to sample all the great selection of dishes they offer. I highly recommend! *****
This is a small restaurant. With that being said, they are on top of their customers( in a good way). Food was delicious, the variety was great I would highly recommend coming here for some out of the ordinary food choices.
One of our staff found this place on google for a going away party. We were pleasantly surprised with how homey the setting was. The food was great no matter what we ordered between the group of us. The owner cooked everything fresh right there. He and his staff were very nice and greeted each one of us when he could. We all recommend Mesoyios.
I love the food here, its always high quality and tasty. I recommend chicken el greco with a greek salad 🔥. I always add tzatziki sauce and pitas. You have to try the hot food with the salad at the same time. That is the key. The hot/cold, the greek dressing, tzatziki and a bite of pita works so well together. My new favorite restaurant. Stopped here to grab a quick Greek salad before heading home. I ended up ordering the lamb shank at the recommendation of the owner (I asked what he recommended). Boy am I glad I did! Order included two huge lamb shanks (I could only finish one and brought the other one home). The meat was perfectly seasoned and so tender it was falling off the bone. It came with potatoes but I am diabetic and asked if I could get something else on the side. He sautéed fresh carrots, broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms with garlic, oregano and finished with white wine. They were so delicious I ordered more to take home. They also provided complimentary olive bread (the owners son made it) and a small serving of a bean salad. The only thing I ordered that wasnt perfect was a small Greek salad. I found it needed some seasoning since the dressing was just a plain oil and vinegar. A bit of fresh oregano did the trick! This is a small family run operation. They couldnt be nicer or more accommodating if they tried. My only complaint is that I wish I lived closer!

Wow honestly I don’t think I’ve ever had better authentic Greek food in my life and my grandmother was born and raised in Cyprus and this food is just as good as hers home made if not better. I would rather not disrespect my grandmother... but I think Mesoyios falafels are better then hers.... sorry yiayia

Best Greek food Ive had outside of Greece. The keftedes (meatballs) are my go- to dish but the gyros are fantastic also. I usually get take out but cant wait to go sit down and really enjoy the food and atmosphere. Its my new favorite place!

We went for Valentines Day, made a last minute reservation... Perfectly cozy, greeted upon arrival, terrific service by Sam (Samantha)... Her recommendations were spot on, we truly enjoyed our entire meal... He had the gyro platter, I had the Greek 3-combo, all of it delicious, add to that a glass of zin, appetizer, small Greek salad and dessert for a Valentines Day special ($26. pp)... Price was right and I even was gifted a small box of chocolates when the check came. The owner/chef came to each table and inquired about our meal with a handshake. Overall, very impressed with the pretty cafe-like atmosphere, service, food outstanding, I highly recommend for a casual dining experience.
Buffalo wings are heavily fried, and very dry. No sauce at all. You ask for extra sauce they sound confused as if you don’t want spicy, saucy wings. Buffalo wings should be saucy and spicy, not dry, flakey and oily. I’ll probably never go there again
