I am new to the area and I secured the coveted ps5 preorded at a local location and I called this location and spoke with James. I asked to update my phone number since I am new to FL and changed it. We changed it right away and spoke casually about the Ps5 launch procedure and he notified me that this location did not have my pre-order and another local store did which saved me time looking crazy coming in on launch day to find out its 10 miles away. I just want to say that James was the most pleasant employee I have ever ever spoken to at any location across the country and I will now be making this my home location expressly because of his kindness and knowledge of the product. Please Gamestop I assure you I want nothing no gift card nor gratitude just your appreciation for having a truly wonderful employee who needs to move up in the company to spread his charisma, and respectfully nature throughout the company. Thanks for a really Memorable and not at all annoying or infuriating call.

I cant believe some of the reviews for this location. Ive been to this store at least 20 times and never had bad customer service. I wish I knew the name of the employees to give them props. Everyone Ive dealt with here was knowledgeable, kind and patient. Yes the trade-in values are not great but if you are looking to get top dollar for your games youre better off selling them somewhere else. If you time it right you can score some great deals at GameStop.

There are a couple decent employees here. The manager is good and friendly but they have a couple employees, Nick especially, that straight up lie to you and try to hustle you out of getting the best deal. They dont know their own promotions and when they have a promo like Buy2 Get1, they will let customers buy 2 and they never mention that they can get a free game per the promo. Ive seen it with my own eyes and actually told the customer about it before they walked out the door. Thats really shady.

The customer service was great! They helped me through getting my switch and were very courteous when I went to return a game I wasnt as excited as I thought I would be. I didnt check the selection but everything I asked for was there so I guess they must have at least have a decent collection

Edit: JULY IS GONE!!! Store is still dealing with fallout from her poor management but is so much better across the board!Called this store today (3/17) to ask about something I saw in the ad. July answered the phone, told me it was an online only sale, she would not even answer questions about the sale, and didnt even bother looking at the ad for what I was talking about.I called another store that happily answered my questions, informed me the sale started tomorrow (3/18) and which area stores had the product in stock.Nick and the rest of the crew are lovely folks! July, the store manager, is a sour cancer and I know multiple people who avoid the store when she works.

RUDE!!!! Ordered a game online, website clearly states the store is “open”, allowing me to order a game online for ”in store pick up”. Game ordered prior to the 7pm cut off, went to the store at 7pm to pick up the game and the store was closed. The guy inside was rude! I tried telling him (through the door) that I had ordered a game online for in store pick up and he mumbled something, rolled his eyes and walked away!!! There was a generic sign on the door that says “closed”! Looks like he was restocking... but why would they not do that AFTER/BEFORE hours!

The employees at this particular GameStop NEVER answer the phone. Over the course of the past 3 hours today I tried calling at least 10 times, trying to see if they have a certain game in stock before I make the 20 minute drive over there. I was even hung-up on, twice. I do not recommend this location. If a Regional or District manager happens to see this review, I highly recommend explaining to the employees how crucial it is to do their job and answer the phone. Ive been in retail for many years, and this is not a sign of good customer service at all. I will not be going to this GameStop anymore. The GameStop employees in Boynton Beach now have my business.

I purchased a used game but didnt play it until a week later. The game was damaged and unreadable and even though it was out of the return date the staff was understanding and still allowed me to exchange the game for a better copy. Thank you all for your kind service.

Bought my son a few games at a decent price. Most prices are typically high priced just like anywhere else .. Unless you look at the used ones you may catch a deal ... And if you are going to trade games in for money .. They only give you $.15 to maybe 20if your lucky on a good recent game .. They accept xboxes .. But specifically must have a wireless remote .. They do not come with wireless when bought. Lol..

We had a friend (who was in need of money) who we said could go through all our old nintendo advance games and sell them to game stopif he wanted for money. He accidentally sold two of our games for our nintendo 3ds instead...stole them without our permission....we chose not press charges. Went into the game stop to buy the games back. Even took the (friend )who stole them back into game stop with us to admit to them he stole those two f2ames and didnt have permission to sell them. All we wanted to do is buy the stolen games back at the price they were sold to gamestop for.. They would not do that. One game pokemon x was sold illegally to gamestop for $10 they charged us $24.99 to to buy our game back. They made $15 profit off of a victim of theft. They sold games that they knew were stolen...(because the guy who sold them to gamestop admitted he sold them without permission and that they were stolen games while we were there . So shirley knowingly sold stolen games at a profit to the victim of the theft. I told her i have been recording the whole incident while discussing this with shirley at gamestop and she said i never gave you the right to record me where as i responded this is a srore open to the public i have business while here i can record anyone and anything i can see while in public unless you have a store policy posted sonewhere in this store that states no recording or photography. So i said to her i can record anyone and everything i can see in public. She got mad made me leave the srore so i left. Either way she knowingly sold stolen games to the victim for a marked up price...that is ridiculous. Scamy and a crime. Please reimburse us for the cost of the game. Thanks.

The manager was not able to swipe my gift card and manually punched in the numbers. When she mistyped the gift card and no funds were available, she immediately told us that we could not use the gift card and there was nothing she could do. We told her we checked the balance in the morning so we knew funds were in the card. She gave us an attitude like we were wrong and said to read out the numbers and low and behold the card worked. She didnt even go above and beyond to make sure our gift card had funds and who doesnt use a gift card at GameStop?

Disrespectful and condescending store manager, July. Claims she’s been working there for over 10 years which apparently gives her the right to make up her own policies in order to benefit her store and herself?! I don’t know how she still has a job there when none of the customers even like her! Right before she argued with me in front of a line of people, she spoke to an 8 year old child like he was stupid because he couldn’t find an item on the shelf when it is her job to ACTUALLY work and do something like show the customer where things are! Furthermore, her work attire isn’t professional at all! She dresses like a cocktail waitress to work at a GameStop. Unacceptable at her age. Do yourself a favor drive the extra couple of miles to the Lantana + 441 store, the customer service there is so much better and the employees are much warmer!

This location has a great staff. Nick is always there,always friendly,knows alot about games and anime, and always helpful. Overall though all the staff is.The store is clean and organized. And typical deals and prices on games.I highly recommend getting a membership because ours has saved us alot! But we also shop there alot.Cant make every customer agree with me. But we go there alot and never have any issues.

What can be said about Gamestop, right? Its Gamestop! Vidya games, collectables, and being told the game you bought for $60 last week only trades in for $3.50, right?Theres quite a bit to be said about this one, though.Their staff is fantastic. Theyre fun loving, know their customers, and are willing to protect you from wasting your money on games that arent worth what the price tag says. These are good people.Update (August 21, 2019):In the previous iteration of this review, I mentioned how the previous store manager did not like dealing fairly with her customers. I am quite pleased to say that she has finally been fired, and a new manager has been hired in her place.As such, I am now upping my rating. Good luck to the new manager; I look forward to dealing with you.

They didnt know what Chromecast was. My husband walked in and went up to the register to inquire if they had any Chromecast in stock and the two agents behind the register looked at him like they didnt know what he was talking about. The lady then looked it up in the computer and determined that they sell the stick but not the new model. Our disappointment is in the fact that they didnt know what it was. Also the ambiance/decor wasnt up to par with other Gamestops.

I received an email from Gamestop saying I had a Free FunkoPop figure I could redeem in-store. I went in 8/9/17 and waited for assistance. The manager on duty said I needed to login to their website to redeem the code; however, they were unsure how to do so as they were unfamiliar with the promotion. I tried again from my home computer, and also called their corporate office, who was also unable to assist me. They said they would follow up by email and did not do so. I am extremely displeased with the poor, if not lack, of customer service I received in the store and their customer support line.Updated: Their corporate office sent an e-giftcard to resolve the situation. They were prompt in resolving the issue and I plan to return to the store.

Some of the dumbest people work here. Went in to trade my xbox one and they told me they need an hdmi cord to test it. Your telling me that gamestop doesnt have a hdmi cord they can use? Pretty pathetic for a store that sells them. And they dont even look at anything else and tell me Im SOL. So I go and get an hdmi so they can test it. I walk in and he tells me he cant take it now because the face unclipped. He told me that their factory doesnt make parts for Xbox one. AND HE STILL DIDNT EVEN TEST IT. Just looked at it and said he couldnt take. Never looked at the controller, the games, the headset, the wires, didnt test the Xbox, and didnt even try to help us. Hopefully the management will realize that their staff havery no idea what they are talking about and fix it.

A terrible experience, my son was asked for a drivers license to verify his age, he bought a game, received the change but he arrived home without the document and he does not remember receiving it, I went with him shortly after and there was another employee who told us to come back today Wednesday that there was the one who had attended him because it was the person who could look at the camera, we went and he said that he could not check the camera, I think that is not the way to treat a client, anywhere. They would have done for the security of the client. Now we have to do the process that implies the loss of such an important document, frustrating because we have been clients of the game stop for a long time.
