Never rely on the website reflecting what they actually have in stock. They rarely update inventory. Matter of fact they have been out of one item four more than a week and the system still says four in stock. If it wasn’t for the $20 coupons id probably shop elsewhere. But it’s convenient and they are usually willing to assist customers.

If you buy mechanical equipment from this store, beware when things go bad and you need replacement parts or services. Employees dont want to help you and even though the store is open, you cant buy parts because a section of the store is closed. Hours are posted online but the store manager can make up their own hours in which you can buy something as simple as an air filter or a spark plug. Screw this store, you might as well find a shop or get parts shipped online

I placed an order last evening online and received it today after getting a phone call from customer service verifying my address. Very courteous and prompt. I will definitely order again.

Some time ago I attended one of these store located in Orlando it was a negative experience. Now, my experience in this location at Lakeland was totally different, customer service was excellent and we came out with everything we need and much more. They won us as a customer for the record that we live far away.

Very clean store conveniently located next to pretty much any shop that you could need making this a one stop destination. Super friendly customer service, we were very happy with our shopping experience here....my husband may be a little happy as he can’t wait to come back 🤣

I purchased an Ultra-Tow aluminum 40in x 48in flat bed trailer and began my modifications. I added 8 bolt-on Stake Pockets, 1x4 wood boards as flooring, side rails with 2 sets of corner lift-off brackets, a lift-off rear gate with 2 sets of security latches. As of the photos, I have yet to Stain/Seal the wood and install the required lighting.I live in a large upscale golf cart friendly community and this fits the bill perfectly. Easy to tow with my Club Cart Precedent and when I need to hit the public roads, I just hook it up to my SUV.I’m very pleased with the cart and how easy it was to modify and also very please with the folk at the new Lakeland FL Northern Tools for the superior customer service.Updated with additional photos now that I’ve stained the trailer to match the Golf Cart.

Northern tool is a pretty decent store. They carry name brand tools and equipment.

Northern Tool has been my go-to place to get tools and equipment for our Subdivision and farm as we repair/improve existing buildings and expand our gardening for home use or farmers market sales. I always shop on-line, since I do not live in Florida, but they have always delivered what I ordered quickly and safely for a very reasonable price.

Terrible customer service. I bought a $800 pressure washer on 4/27/20. Three days later the wand was leaking so I took it back in. They wouldn’t replace it but said they would repair it. I went to use it a few months later and it was still leaking. Brought it back and was told by the guy on the sales floor that they wouldn’t do anything to help me out because it had been too long. Highly recommend shopping somewhere else.

Quick and Easy Process

OMG ! Im 70 years old and yesterday was the first day Ive ever stepped foot in a Northern Tool store. I had no idea that it was that big and carried absolutely everything you could possibly think of. Also, they have some great prices on a number of items. Im retired on a budget so Im careful spending my money. I found that between Harbor Freight, lowes, Home Depot and now Northern Tool, each one has the lowest prices on different things. If youre careful and check between them, you can save quite a bit of money. Thats my main goal now, is to not spend more than I have to. So, I dont push one store above others. I find good stores and I compliment them, but not just them. Northern Tool is a huge store and Im sorry I havent been in one long before now. I went to the one in Lakeland. They had a good amount of staff that were all very friendly and helpful. They didnt push any items on you, just let you browse as long as you wished. If my back would have not been hurting, I could have spent quite a bit of time in there just gazing at all the stuff that they have. lol. I was like a kid and a candy store. Ive never seen such a variety in one store before. I will start shopping at Northern Tool, but not just solely them. I rotate between all of them checking prices to save as much money as I can when I purchase something. If you havent been in a Northern Tool, you should. If one is not close to you, check them out on their website as everything is on their web. Its worth a check and Im certain youll find stuff that is less expensive there than the other stores youre shopping currently. Have a great day, everybody and stay safe. Michael

Many times when I needed something that I couldnt find in any other store or special-order items I was able to find it there and the manager ... Robert Kirkland an individual with a vast amount of knowledge...and thats hard to find in any other store like that anywhere... they carry a full variety of most things that you might need I call it a mix between Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply they have better tools thanHarbor Freight and better prices thanTractor Supply so if you need something ... anything from basic tools to power tools... they have a full line of Stihl Machinery .... chainsaws and anything else that you might need... binders and trailers ...right on through to power tools... they have just about everything a person could want and I really enjoy shopping there and do so quite often... the floor Associates are quite knowledgeable very friendly and they dont mind answering any questions that you might have about any of their products Ive also had the opportunity to return some items that were fully warranted and were replaced with no questions asked the level of customer service is extraordinary the girls up front that the cashiers are all friendly and the one thing that I find very special about Northern Tool is that they have a certified Stihl representative by the name of Rick who is very knowledgeable about all of the Stihl products and who also has a full service and repair shop and well order just about any part for any Machinery that you might have be it Stihl or otherwise... so if your ever in the the neighborhood stop by and take a look at what they have to offer ...it will Amaze you...

The tires literally came off the hubs of my full 25 gallon herbicide sprayer in the pasture this morning. Northern Tool had replacement tires in stock. I also needed a drain cap& rather than make me special order they gave meone from a demo! So grateful that I can finish this job thanks to their guys!

Got a coupon in the mail and it was expired, so they had mailed out useless out of date coupons. The service was spectacular but the selection of shoes was very lack luster as there werent many sizes for large feet.

Bought a tool box for hubbys truck and it didnt come with anything to secure it to the truck. Northern Tool didnt have whats needed for hubbys truck so now were driving all over town looking for it.

Good selection of all kinds of tools and stuff. Name brand tools. The store brand has a lifetime warranty on hand tools

Helpful employees

This review is for the company in general. I ordered chairs to be shipped to this store over a month ago, and no one knows where they are. Some of the prices in the store are a bit high compared to other places as well. I was excited to see another tool store open in Lakeland, but they have been only a disappointment so far. What a shame.

Says they open at 8am. They did not.Tried to buy a 2 yon Jack for $29. Rang up $39.Walked out after confirming the shelf was marked $29. ( Walmarts had it cheeper anyhow)Store is not as big as the Ocala nor the Orlando location. Disappointing, as I like the other store locations.

Beautiful new store in a convieant location. Easy ascessable with large convieant parking. Wide veriety of tool and other power equipment. Fully stocked shelfs with adaquite staffing who is friendly and knowelagable. Thanks for the new store close to home. Im very happy that I no longer have to drive over an houre to the Orlando location.
