A treasure. Real learning materials of all sorts, well organized. This is what Silicon Valley parents buy for their kids — they’re against electronics! Books, big pads of paper, letters and numbers kids can hold and play with. The clerk may just point toward what you want, but the treasures are there to be found!
Overall, the place is pretty great. BUT theres a lot to be desired. Its a tiny store, like if you blink driving around looking for it in the parking lot, you have to turn around and go back because you missed it and theres a cement curb running the length of the lot blocking a turn around.Now. This is a review written by service dog handler who went shopping with her teacher mum. I lasted only a few minutes in the store before I had to leave. The walls were just too close together (width-wise, smaller than a regular child bedroom) and the aisles fit one adult and a child side-by-side (we checked). My service dog and I did not without one or both of us disturbing the shelves (awkward!). But once you get past the front room, it opens up into a longer shoebox room with aisles that are still horrible but plentiful. There IS a lot of variety but not enough room for it. The prices are great and the clearances prices are fantastic. The clerk on duty was (to quote my mum) sketchy enough to be incapable of coming within 50 yards of a school. There were a bunch of kids running wild in the store unherded. I mean, my mum was a single parent of 2 special needs kids and took us to teacher stores growing up but we didnt raise hell in the store! And, finally, the entire store smelled of animal crackers which was just weird. So its basically a hit or miss store.
Unhelpful and cold. We walked in and this older lady looked at us as if we were trespassing. We were looking for flags and she coldly told us No. She obviously did not want to be bothered. It was shocking and disappointing. Drive to Tampa and check out AOE instead. They go out of their way to help and are always friendly.
Incredibly cute little store. Not a teacher but the little erasers and pencil toppers are adorable. Worth stopping by, especially if you have kids.
