While moving is a hard and tedious task, Michelle and Terri with Storage King USA/Penske Truck Rental went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Our movers didnt show up so we had to extend our rental. They stayed on the phone working with us to assure that we could secure our truck for not just one, but 2 extra days. The truck was immaculate, comfortable and we got a great deal. I highly recommend these ladies to help with all of your moving and storage needs. Ill be coming back in the future. Warning! Do not use Storage King! First off, the location in Lakeland is on the outskirts of town as far as you can get -  on the edge of the Green Swamp. Second, theyre going to use the standard bait and switch on you. They will promise you one price and then theyll raise it as soon as you get your stuff moved in. Theyll tell you that thats what the market demands, but theyll offer no proof! Basically, theyll just raise your rates whenever they want more profit! This company is unethical and immoral. Avoid them at all cost and use their competitors! You have been warned.

Id been here since 2006 when this storage was called socrum self storage. Everything was kept intact after 15 yrs. Thestaff/ customer service in person or and by phone has always been very professional and always caring for the costumer needs. . I strongly recommend it.

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon and was moving my items in Saturday morning. After speaking with and securing a moving truck right there I went home to register for a storage unit online (as she explained it would be cheaper for me to do it online), my phone rang immediately and if was the women I was just dealing with. She informed me I reserved the wrong type of unit than what I had said I wanted. I was so great full she was making sure I got what I really needed. She walked me through everything the next morning and made sure everything was the way I needed it. I would recommend Storage King to everyone. Friendly staff, clean, secure, very easy access to all the units.

Have had a storage unit here for over 3 years. They changed ownership about a year ago and it was pretty seamless. Always clean facility, NEVER have had any pest issues. They give you a grace period if your late on your bill and will always answer questions or address concerns you have promptly. Very sweet office staff who genuinely do care about their customers! Only thing that I can say negative is the gate hours, I wish they were open later, or 24/7 but, I was aware of the hours before renting my unit. And although it can be inconvenient for me at times, I still wouldnt rent a unit anywhere else!

Cleanest storage space place in Lakeland!

Virginia was very helpful in setting up a storage location for a new camper trailer. It is a great space and the price is much lower than their competitors. Highly recommend this facility.

Everyone is very helpful . I had problems opening my unit and they were there to help with a smile. The really like how they are available to help in any way needed.

I have three storage here and the customer service is excellent, the sotorage are very clean. The only detail is that the button system to enter is a little low and when one enters with a truck or tall vehicle it becomes difficult to dial the key to enter. Of the rest it is excellent

We had our storage unit for 15 months and it was nice. The ladies were always so sweet and professional to talk to. And they were very accommodating with us since my husband is military, which you don’t always get that so I was that much more appreciative!

We kept a unit here for about two years. These women are so nice and courteous. They assisted us at every turn and treated us like family. So nice having competent and friendly staff, they made every interaction a pleasure.

Socrum self storage was better, but they were bought by Storage King. This was bad for business. The people that work there are great, but have very little control now that they were bought out. They notified us that our unit was being pressure washed and that we needed to come cover stuff up so it didnt get wet two days before. We were 4 hours away and couldnt make it back. They told the office folks they couldnt do anything about it. However, they ended up calling us back and saying they skipped it. We appreciate that, but we got to be stressed for a few days worried about our items. There is no corporate number you can call. It just routes you to a location. They also raised the rates and now charge for mandatory insurance. In the end it was good for us because we emptied our storage unit for good and moved out. Sorry office staff, but corporate is horrible.

This place sold my unit after being told in would be in today to pay for it I was off work for covid lost my job and start a new job recently I ask if I could set up payment arrangements and they told me no had to be paid in full then today they said I should have made payment arrangements well in was told i wasnt aloud now I want to talk to the owner and they wont put me on with them they said they emailed me never got an email from them so I would not put your stuff in this place

Was very happy until today when I received notice that the unit Im renting price jumped up $73.00 per month. Poor way to do business.

My wife and I moved here from California seven years ago and one of the first services we contacted was Socrum Self Storage. We have found the staff helpful and courteous with use on every visit. We use the climate controlled rooms and every item we store for Holidays, special events and even to find room in our home, is in pristine condition when we finally bring it home. We are vey please with our experience and they have a customer for a life with us.

Thought was paying for security. Place recently robbed. I got lucky. Many didnt. Cameras werent set for alarms although I was informed that is going to changed. Im praying soon, as I still have 1 unit left to clean out.
