This store and the people who work here are absolutely lovely. I am from out of state having a wedding in PA and they went above and beyond to squeeze us in their schedule not once, but twice. The girls were attentive, understanding & kind. I found my dream dress here! The selection is unlike any other. Many budget friendly options!

The staff are absolutely wonderful and helpful! I am currently planning my wedding and they have been nothing but amazing. This team are very kind, helpful, and respectful to what you envision for that very special day! It has been quite the pleasant experience so far. I have been going with them from my prom with my friend (now going to be my husband), to my sisters wedding, to my own wedding day. I cannot wait to continue to work alongside this wonderful team! ☺️

I had a great experience yesterday with Shawn! Im a mid-sized woman with a lower-than-average dress budget. She was very respectful of my budget and transparent about pricing. She was knowledgeable in her field and answered all me and my groups questions. She gave us some space with each try-on so I didnt feel pressured. I think it only took maybe 8 dresses to find the dress for me. This store has just enough selection to not overwealm you, but still give you a great variety in any budget or size. I highly recommend this shop if youre looking for incredible service priced somewhere in between a Davids Bridal and a Main Line boutique! I cant wait to wear my dress next year!

Disappointed in the service here...putting it lightly. The staff is rude especially if you happen to be anything bigger than a size 6. They refuse to listen to your requests and will pressure you into buying something way out of your price range. Even though you tell them your dress size, they will force you to try on a dress that is 2 sizes too small (and not even in the style you specifically asked for) and then shame you for not being able to fit into it. Youd be better off getting a dress from literally ANYWHERE ELSE. Dont waste your time.

Horrible policy! My daughter purchased a bridesmaid dress. She read and understood the no return policy.She has recently become pregnant 💙. She called and explained her situation and they will not EXCHANGE her dress.Seriously!!! It isn’t like she gained weight from ice cream & Oreos. She is PREGNANT!!I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY BRIDE.My daughter used David’s Bridal and were very satisfied. Let me suggest you use David’s too.Thanks for readying.

Beautiful dress selections and decent price point but staff wasn’t the best customer service post sale and I really really disliked the alterations and ruined the experience for me. Very expensive alternations and terrible job. Had so many issues with bustles and length and it was so expensive and honestly terrible work and ended up changing into a jumpsuit because of it. I would recommend to buy here but take your dress elsewhere for alterations

I cannot recommend Country Bride and Gent enough. Shawn was a wonderful consultant. She was so helpful and listened to what I liked and what I didn’t like. She helped me find my dream dress. Shawn was very informative and she took the time to make me feel comfortable during my appointment. I would happily recommend Country Bride and Gent to anyone that I know. I had a truly awful experience at another shop where I left in tears. Country Bride and Gent more than made up for that experience and I left this shop with happy tears because I found the dress of my dreams.

The dress selection is nice, prices are reasonable and the location is clean. The only issue I can report is that the staff are not as friendly and kind as they initially appear. If you spend time browsing, youre made to feel that youre inconveniencing them because youre not buying yet. Not very warm and inviting, which is a shame because I expected better. Sadly, the sales people care more about the $ than the happiness and comfort of customers.

Ed, Devante, and the entire mens team at Country Bride were fantastic. From choosing the tux through to the day of the wedding, they made the process simple and straightforward and were extremely communicative and flexible with our schedule. Ed was even kind enough to deliver a tux that needed a minor alteration to our hotel on the morning of the wedding. i would not hesitate to rent a tux from here again in the future. Keep in mind it gets very busy around prom season.

They have a beautiful and vast selection of dresses! My dress was perfect! Stacy did an amazing job altering my gown, she is truly the best! It was a tough one to alter, but she worked her magic!

I’m regretting my decision I felt like I had to say yes to the dress to get me out of the store. I wish I walked out without nothing I just wasted 600 dollars for nothing! I wish I could return the dress but being on sale I’m sure I can’t do that. I just felt pressured being on the bigger side. You were successful on my prom dress years ago but sadly not my wedding dress. Also looking at bridesmaid dresses I just felt they were trying to get me out of the store I’m sorry I am a planner and want to get everything ready for my wedding in 2023. I regret ever coming into that store avoid this store if you want to not feel judged!

Had a great experience with getting measurements and the final fitting session was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were incredibly efficient with getting not only our party, but other parties that were there taken care of and out the door quickly.

I just want to give a huge shout out to Shawn and Sandy at the Country Bride and Gent. They welcomed me so warm and friendly. Shawn listened to exactly what I wanted to find in a dress but still stay in budget. Everything ran smoothly and i ended up finding the perfect dress for my day. I had such a fun time picking out my wedding dress here! I came in knowing that I wanted to leave with a dress that day, and Shawn couldn’t have been more helpful! She was very efficient, great about staying within my budget, and caught on quickly to what I was looking for!

What a great experience! This place was hopping but we had a very personalized, high-quality experience with Lori/Laura! She guided us through our interests and narrowed down the field based on styles and a timetable urgency that I hadnt realized was urgent(!). She was patient as she pushed my comfort zone a bit (which proved very helpful!) and waited for our text responses for approval from the bride and my sister. She couldnt have been lovelier and the whole experience was very positive.

Amazing customer service and beautiful dresses!

I just have to say I had the most wonderful experience with those closest to me on such an important part of my wedding planning. I especially want to say Flossie was amazing. My grandmother who passed many years ago had the same name and it was an amazing sign that she was there with us on such a big moment in my life. Besides the name coincidence she was lovely and made the experience even better. I said yes to the dress and I can not wait to wear it again!

Easy to find the location. They did have a variety of dresses but most were smaller sizes which for me meant that I wasn’t going to get a good idea of what I liked on. The consultant I had was very nice but the place was VERY busy for the size. When we arrived for our appt, the parking lot was full and we had to park in a nearby lot. Their prices were exactly what I found on the manufacturers website. One suggestion I have, know your client. This was the first bridal store I had gone to with my mom. What was strange was they didn’t tell my mom where to go so she was going to help me get the gowns on/off. Awkwardly, she was finally led to a seat where I would come out with dresses on. The other observation was the temperature of the building. I thought it was a bit warm and commented to the consultant. She agreed and said “it does get very warm in here.” Just a thought ... take into consideration the amount of potential customers in the building and the temperature of the interior. Between nerves and attempting to get in/out of dresses (a job in itself) being a little sweaty is beyond uncomfortable. I found myself racing to get the rest of the appt over with so I could leave & get fresh air.

I cannot thank Country Bride and Gent enough for their outstanding service and hospitality. My now husband got his tuxedo from the mens department and I got my dress from the bridal department. My dress was originally sleeveless and the bridal team + Anne Marie transformed it into the dress of my dreams! HOURS were spent poured into creating the sleeves, points, lace, etc. I cannot praise them enough! THANK YOU to the WHOLE team at Country Bride and Gent, I wish I could give you more than 5 stars!!! We walked in on a BUSY Saturday and were welcomed with open arms! The service was amazing and they have a large selection of beautiful wedding dresses. I said yes to the dress!

My daughter got her wedding dress from Country Bride. The dress was positively stunning. We did have some trouble with the fit initially and didnt care for the seamstress assigned to us. But the owner took action and set us up with a different seamstress. In the end, the fit was perfect and the dress was over the top gorgeous!

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered my dress. The dress I ordered is way to big for me. They just keep telling me they measured correctly and the manufacturer determines the size to order. I have never worn a womens size always a misses, and it is supposed to be a petite. It is not all of the outfit is huge. The two seamstress will not call me. I have to find someone on my own to make the outfit fit me. I guess the good thing is it is big and not to small. I will not go back here and will not recommend them at all.

Absolute terrible experience with the tailoring aspect of this shop. I purchased my wedding dress through them and did the alterations, they not only screwed up my dress but One of my bridesmaids dresses as well. They kept trying to say that I lost weight which I had not and they tried to blame it on me not wearing a bra under it (I didn’t have a bra on when trying the dress on and it fit perfect). They stated with every backless dress you need a bra under it to fit correctly. They also stated there was not much else they could do for the dress even though it looked huge after they’re seamstress “altered” it. They were originally going to charge me again for the same seamstress to “re-alter” the dress. I made a special appointment to try my dress on again and a different seamstress looked at it and she wasn’t even sure what to do with it! But even so they said they would only let the original seamstress alter the dress after the other one pins it and I told them I did not think i would want her to do that. They said I had to stick with the original seamstress. I ended up having to take my dress to a different seamstress after spending all of that money here already. They were not even apologetic about the whole ordeal at all they were insisted that it was all my fault the dress didn’t fit. The next tailor I took it to stated that the seamstress at this shop only took in one side of the dress and that is why it wasn’t fitting correctly! You would think they would know how to alter any dress since they have been in business so long! After a different seamstress fixed they’re mistake the dress fit like a glove and I did not have to wear a bra with it. Buyers beware, though they have a nice selection of dresses absolutely DO NOT alter your dress here!!!

POSITIVE The gown was beautiful. The staff was helpful.NEGATIVE. The gown cost $1000. The alterations were $400 because the staff did not tell me that this type of gown would require extensive alterations. I would have made a different choice had I been informed of the upcoming cost While I said the gown was beautiful, the quality was not. The straps on the gown chafed my skin to the point where I had bandaids under the straps. Two of the 4 underplays cane apart during the reception. I had to use a pair of sizzors to cut them out so they would not drag on the floor...Be careful, ask question, really look carefully at the sample to ascertain quality. This gown should never have been offered or sold. The staff should have been more upfront about the issues above.

My mother ordered a “mother of the bride” outfit. When it came in it was enormous on her even though the sales person claims to have measured correctly. There is no way this pants outfit is correct. It was either manufactured incorrectly or ordered incorrectly. The store personnel have been very unhelpful in helping to solve this problem. And now they are refusing to return her calls. She’s very frustrated. A few years ago we purchased my daughters prom dress from here. It was a beautiful dress and everything was exactly like she wanted. After my mother’s experience there is no way we will ever shop here again. If I could give zero stars I would. I’d suggest that you find somewhere else to shop.

I decided to make an appointment at country bride and gent because of the location and bridal designers that they carry. The name is deceiving (to me, it sounds more rustic than elegant) but I was pleasantly surprised. The shop is clean and has a wide variety of dresses from ballgowns to fit and flare.My consultants name was Fran (I believe...Im terrible with names). She was efficient with picking gowns. I had a certain dress in mind and changed it by the end of the appointment.I actually had to come back at the end of the day because my appointment ended and I couldnt decide between two dresses. My consultant was still there and let me try on the two again. I was finally able to say yes to the dress. This was the 3rd bridal shop I visited and I was relieved that I found the gown. Overall, I was happy with the service and the selections that they carried (sparkly, Lacey, simple, extravagant, etc).

I had a great experience here trying on wedding dresses. They were very patient and helpful during the whole appointment. I didnt end up finding my dress here but it came down to wanting a different style than what they had. They definitely have more lace, classic style dresses for purchase at this time, but styles always change so try them out!

I will start by saying that I contacted this establishment first to try and discuss my concerns. I was not intending to leave a review and I have never felt compelled to review anything before. However, the response I received was so disappointing I want to warn people to avoid this place. I was measured for a bridesmaid dress. I had had a baby several months before and was very concerned about the size of my dress. Due to breastfeeding the woman who measured me wanted to size up and then promised the rest of the dress could be adjusted to fit me. I kept asking, over and over again, if she was sure it wasnt too big. She insisted it would be the best option. I had no choice as this store was the only local place selling the dress I needed to get . Well, to my horror, the dress I received was SO big it LITERALLY fell off of me when I tried it on. Even if my chest had been the area of concern, the dress I received was too large to even stay up on my chest. I immediately decided not to have the dress altered there as I have read previous poor reviews AND I did not trust this place if they had measured me so badly to begin with. I took it to another tailor (this one with five star reviews on every reviewing site or app) and he told me he would not take money from me to fix it, that is how bad it was. He sent me home without charging me. I was re-measured and ordered a dress five sizes smaller from another place. It fits perfectly. Keep in mind, since I was measured and when I received the dress my chest size was the SAME. I called The Country Bride and Gent and was met with an attitude. Rude, unhelpful, and HORRIBLE at measuring dresses. I cannot believe the mess they made. Now I had to get a different dress, spending another 200+ in the process, and I wont even match the other bridesmaids. AVOID THIS PLACE.

I cant thank Country Bride and Gent enough. Flossi was simply amazing! I ended up going to try on wedding dresses twice, there were so many options to choose from. Flossi knew exactly what I was looking for, and when I went back for my second appointment, she had a dress waiting for me that had just came it. That ended up being my dress! The staff was very helpful. I will be going back for my fittings, as well as too look for MOB, MOG and bridesmaids dresses.

I just bought my Wedding Dress from Country Bride and Gent this past weekend. Flossie was amazing, I would suggest you ask for her if you are planning to go here and try on some gowns! Flossie picked a variety of the kinds of dresses I thought I would like and then a few others I figured I would give a try. I really like that the dresses are out for you to look through because as I was trying on dresses and seeing what I liked, my bridesmaids and my mom could be looking for similar, yet different, styles for me to try on as well. Each time I tried on a different style gown, Flossie told me a little about the style and how lacing up the back or buttoning could be made easier on your big day. I will definitely be using those helpful hints for my wedding in October. It is cramped in the facility, but they try and make sure you have your own space for your friends and family to sit while you try on the gowns. The prices were definitely reasonable, and had plenty at a discount. Overall, I would definitely suggest Country Bride and Gent to future brides looking for their perfect dress!

I was sent here to get a bridesmaids dress for a friends wedding and was quite pleasantly surprised. I made an appointment last minute (it was daytime during the week) and was greeted, measured, ordered my dress, and was on my way. The woman in the shop who took my appointment was very sweet and professional. I trusted her to order the correct size (which usually doesnt happen) and my dress fit like a glove! The only alteration it need was hem, of course. I wasnt pressured to size up or to have alterations done there. My fiancé also rented a tux here for another wedding and he had a great experience as well. So now that I am engaged Country Bride and Gent is on top of my bridal salon list!

I walked into this shop super excited to find my wedding dress. My sister spotted one in the window on a mannequin. When I went inside the woman, Carrie (I believe that was her name) did not assist with picking out dresses nor did she really describe where to look. I started grabbing all sorts of things which seemed to bother her when she was helping me get into the dresses. She did take the dress off the mannequin in the window. I tried on probably 20 dresses... none of which I loved. She rushed me to narrow down my maybe pile. There were 2 dresses that I could not even squeeze into. She sort of insulted me the way she said theres no way youre fitting into these then proceeded to say that she thinks my sister should try them on for me. I stood outside of the dressing room waiting for my sister to come out in the dress that was hanging in the window. It was gorgeous. I felt horrible in the dress I had on when I stood next to her. She then tried the other one on that I couldnt fit into and I instantly hated the one I had finally picked from my maybe pile. The woman at the shop started pressuring me to make a decision. I told her that the dress I had on was out and it was between one of the 2 that my sister put on for me. She told me many brides buy dresses hey dont try on.... well not me. I refused to do that. I told her I wanted the designer and style numbers. I left the shop and I felt like crying from the terrible customer service she had given me. That same day we went to another shop where I was treated like a queen and I ended up getting one of the 2 dresses I could not fit into at country bride and gent. I thought about ordering it from country bride and gent but not after the way I was treated. Your wedding day is a very special day. You should not pressure someone into buying something they cant try on! Nor should you rush them while trying on dresses!!It was pretty much the worst customer service I have ever experienced in person. My best friend is getting married in November and I have already told her to stay clear of that place.

Was hopeful after reading all the good reviews, but I was severely disappointed. I thought for sure a small boutique would provide excellent service and one on one attention. The service we had while looking for bridesmaid dresses was horrendous and my bridal party all voted not to return. We had one dressing room for 5 girls, a small variety of sizes, and the consultant didnt tell us that one dress we were trying on didnt come in the right color! They also do not have any junior bridesmaid dresses to try on. We ended up getting the girls dresses at davids bridal for $80 less in the right color and they could try on the right sizes! A couple days later, I found out that my fiance has a military commitment and we needed to cancel our wedding and the staff were not willing to work with us at all (every other vendor was more than willing!)Long story short, I will be going to Davids bridal for any future needs since they have a military discount and are so helpful! I was very surprised by both the service here and unwillingness to accommodate unusual situations. This would have made me nervous anyway considering that my dress was to take over 6 months to come in and they did not even have it in the right color to try on! Save time and money and visit Davids bridal. Much larger selection, much more helpful consultants, and they cared about my wedding party!

Outstanding customer service and attention to detail. As someone who has been a groomsman in more than one wedding, I can say Ive been disappointed in the past. However these guys took the time to assure we had the attire suitable for our wedding ceremony. Everyones tux fit well and looked sharp. Prices are also very fair and competitive with what you see with some of the bigger outfits. Overall I was very pleased with our experience and highly recommend them for weddings!

I knew exactly what dress I wanted to try on before coming in, as it was exactly what I wanted from a specific line. They were able to set the dress aside ahead of time for me to try on, which was awesome. I can’t remember her name, but the woman who helped us was extremely kind and so helpful. She made the process smooth and was clearly very experienced. They carry a large selection, not just your typical floofy dresses and were very transparent in pricing. Would highly recommend!!!

Super awesome there! A little tight but the lady I had that helped me was absolutely awesome. I am a very picky bride and finding things I didnt like was very easy but she stuck with me with an great attitude and personality! I was able to describe what I wanted and she pulled dresses based on what I told her! This place was so awesome they are all great! If I ever need another dress this is where I would go!

I had a terrible time with my sales woman. She had a terrible attitude and treated me very poorly. I was mortified when she dragged me across the store for different light and kicked another bride off of her viewing platform. The selection is not huge, and my sales woman gave me horrible looks when I asked about sales or specials. Luckily, I did find a dress here that I love. And its great quality. All the dresses here are of much higher quality than those at Davids (I went there first). Most have corsets and undergarments built in, so you dont have to buy those in addition to the dress. Overall, its worth looking because you can find some great dresses at great prices, but beware the nasty saleswomen.As an update... the more I have had to deal with the store, the worse it has gotten. Every time I have called, I have been put on hold, hung up on, passed around, and received rudeness for questions.I ended up paying half the price of my dress for a simple hem... no beads, no stitching, no nothing but 1.5 inches off the bottom of my dress on the front only... I could have done it myself. I was not told the price beforehand and surprised at the bill. It was an unbelievable rip off. Im glad I didnt have to have any other alterations done.And because my dress was on sale... they charged me extra to press/steam it before I picked it up for the wedding.You might want to try all other stores in the area before coming to this one as the saleswomen will ruin the fabulous day of finding your wedding dress. And the hassle of dealing with them after almost makes it not worth it.

Dresses are beautiful without a doubt! Had a great experience with Alyssa today. She helped a friend and myself pick our bridesmaids dresses. Only reason there arent 4 stars is because they are expensive! The whole Staff was friendly when I walked in (which I was nervous about because of other reviews) very friendly! They were celebrating 30 years which clearly shows they know what theyre doing.

We went only to get a tie rental. Person helping us was so sweet and took so much time to give us feed back.

We got my dress, the bridesmaids dresses, and the groomsmen suits here and it was a very pleasant experience. They answered every question (even if it wasnt clothing related, just wedding questions in general!) The wedding process was stressful, but they truly helped make it as easy as possible!

I went to Country Bride and Gent to look for a wedding dress for the first time. I had no expectation to get a dress that night but working with Alyssa was amazing. She listened to what I wanted (which looked awful on me) and pulled dresses she knew I would look good in. I found my dream dress and it was just amazing. Everything from walking in the front door to the conversations I had with Alyssa to purchasing my dress. I feel so lucky that I went there!! Thank you SO much! I am so impressed I will be going back for my bridesmaids dresses too!!!!!! 10 stars!

Ive been renting tuxedos for years from this store. Never had a problem with the product or the staff. Always very attentive and top quality. Recently special ordered a chocolate brown tux, which was available in a week and fit perfectly. Ive been a groomsman in many weddings, and every time Ive had to rent from a major chain, Ive been disappointed. Do yourself a favor and bring your bridal party here first.

My daughter found her prom dress here. The experience was incredible from the moment we walked in. Our attendant was incredible and made this such a great day! I would highly recommend this boutique!

I got married on September 29th and my dress came out beautifully, but one of the groomsman received the wrong shoes and was missing a shirt. He was from out of town and was not able to come out before hand to check everything, and when we told them before hand that he would be out of town they said it would be no problem. But there obviously were problems. I had called them on Monday telling them about the problem and they refused to give a refund and blamed some high schoolers for the mistakes that were made. Where now, my pictures are ruined and they do not seem to take any responsibility for their action and could careless. Things started off so good with them and I am completely in love with my dress. But over all I’m very disappointed in general and will not go back or recommend.

Our daughter was married on New Years Eve 2016. We purchased her wedding dress, veil, and rented tuxedos for the entire wedding party from Country Bride and Gent. The selection was outstanding, the customer service was superb, and the entire experience was wonderful. I highly recommend them.

I told the sales person what my price range was and she completely went above what I can afford. I reminded her again of my price range. She seemed annoyedWe did get the gown there however that was the only drawback.

I would never go here again. Ever. I had to order my bridesmaid dress 3 weeks after giving birth to my daughter and was essentially bullied and body shamed into ordering a dress that was way too big for me. The consultant told me that I would never be able to fit into the size dress that I usually wore and that the odds of me being able to lose all that weight was pretty much impossible. Now I have a dress that is ENORMOUS (could make another dress out of all this extra fabric) that they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg in alterations to fix. When I told them that I was not planning on having my alterations done there, the seamstress was incredibly rude. This place is sneaky and I would never go there again.

So upset when I left the store today. Its not like it used to be. I brought many of prom gowns and my mother of the bride gowns in this store. But after today Ill never patronize this store again. My daughters senior prom, and we were there for maybe 2 hours, we were just about to decide between 2 dresses, when the lady told us we are taking to long, that they only allow 1 hour for customers to find a dress. I was shocked. I also brought in some pictures from there website for dresses we wanted to see, and the lady was not familar with the dresses from there own website. Place went down hill. Sad!

While The Country Bride and Gent had a nice selection their service was awful. My mom purchased her mother-of-the-bride gown here. The sales staff had her order at least 1 size larger than needed. Each time we went for a fitting, the seamstress became very frustrated with my mom when she had to basically re-make the entire dress. My mom went with the stores recommendation on sizing but she was talked down to during every fitting when she asked to have something altered to fit her. On top of bad service, the alterations came at an exorbitant cost. If you purchase a dress here, save yourself money and hassle AND TAKE IT ELSEWHERE FOR ALTERATIONS!!! What should have been a happy experience became a horror story.

The staff was very helpful, but the dress quality was awful. I bought my prom dress here and at the dance within 10 minuets of being there my strap broke! And then after an hour the other strap broke too. I had to use whatever i had and ended up bobby pinning my dress. It completely ruined my night because I had to worry about my dress falling down. For 400$ i was expecting better quality than this and they don’t do refunds.

The worst customer service Ive ever encountered in a bridal shop and Ive been in many many shops. The high pressure tactics here are awful, and the insensitivity toward brides is unbelievable, maybe they need people who have actually bean a bride to work here. Theyll do anything to sell a dress including lying to your face. Run the other way, steer clear of this store! Read the reviews and then ask yourself, do I want to shop in a store where the employees treat the customers so poorly and so many brides have left in tears ? They should be making brides happy, not making then cry.

Tuxedo came in 3 days late and was not even close to my measurements.. way off.. then had to take a day off from work to rectify the mistakes they made.. would not recommend ... buyer beware.. they did not even offer any apology...

The store was cramped - too many gowns, too little space. I went to the store specifically looking for Stella York designs and my consultant didnt help me find any. The dressing rooms are really small. I had to share a pedestal with another girl and her party. It was odd waiting for her and her waiting for me. After about 45 minutes (of a 2 hr appointment), my consultant basically ushered me out the door. I hadnt even looked at their whole stock of dresses.The experience was okay. They have a nice selection of dresses. I would suggest making an appointment early in the day or on a weekday to avoid store crowding.

I popped in today on a whim after having only been engaged for a month. Had no idea I would be leaving with 99.9% certainty that I found my dream dress!! Thats how awesome Alyssa and the team are at Country Bride and Gent. She makes you feel so welcome and comfortable and not once did I feel rushed or limited in what I could try on! She nailed exactly what I was looking for when she asked me what I liked and she also let me pull things from the rack which some places wont let you do. All the staff that walked by while I was admiring the dresses in the mirror made me feel like a princess. The alterations woman was super sweet too. Cant say enough good things... Excited to go back and see the team again soon to make a final decision!!

I read the other reviews on here and it seems like people just get upset for little things and then write about them. I had a very different experience. I am the groom and got fitted and picked out a tux for me and my groomsmen. I have to say that my experience here was one of the best service experiences I have ever had. Ed is the definition of a professional tailor. I truly felt like a million bucks. He made this experience a memorable one. Ed cared about the big items and down to the tiniest details. He addressed all of the concerns for me and my spouse (We are getting remarried - Renewing our Vows getting married in the Church) . I am on the heavier size so I had to get a custom shirt made and a larger size of the Michael Kors Dark Grey Tux which was awesome and GQ smooth!! He made sure everything fit perfect to where I was comfortable. He did not rush me, in fact I spent several hours there both times to ensure I was satisfied. I really appreciated his humbleness and his true knowledge of the industry. His experience is second to none. What Ed did for us, I do not think I could thank him enough with words. I thought to myself and explained to my wife, Im only renting these and not spending much at all, and look at all of the attention he has given us. It blew me away. So if you are getting married, going to prom, or even needing a tuxedo for a special occasion, It is worth it to go and see Ed even if you are within 100 miles from the shop - its worth it. And if you do, you will find a way to comment on my review to thank me for referring you to Ed. It was that awesome!!! So if you want to be treated like a king and not have to spend a lot of money, go and see Ed at The Country Bride and Gent!

While the store has a great selection of dresses and I found the most beautiful gown, I cannot recommend them due to their alterations practices. Working in the hospitality industry at a local venue, I expected some common courtesy, but instead was blatantly mislead. Their alterations costs are high (for mine, $570) from the get-go. But then they neglect to tell you that a bustle is in addition ($100). Then, they rush you to get in and have the alterations done months prior to your wedding. I told them upfront that I was losing weight, but they proceeded with initial alterations regardless. They never said that there could be an additional cost if they had to take the dress in more. If they had, I would have never had them alter it in the first place. When I came in for my final fitting they then charged me again (another $100) and were not at all apologetic for not properly explaining everything. When it was said and done, the alterations were half of the cost of the dress. Guess thats where they make their money, so for your own sake, if you want to get your gown there, get it and RUN afterwards to a reputable seamstress.

Great dress selection however the staff who run the womens selection is terrible and they seem very disorganized. Most of them were very rude to my bridal party and I throughout our entire experience. They failed to keep my file updated and lectured me about the confusion on every phone call. Spend your money at a better establishment.

Country Bride and Gent has donated a tuxedo for our St. Stanislaus/Mater Dei Catholic School Trivia Night emcee for the past 8 years. I cannot speak highly enough about Trish, Ed, and Gene with their willingness to support us and their friendliness and service while doing so. Each year when I turn to them, they are ready to help us without hesitation. They have stored my measurements each year so i dont even have to come back in, and then they go out of their way to make sure that it fits properly when i pick up. Last year, when we were debating on cancelling because of a snowstorm, Ed offered to come in especially the morning of the event to fit me if we needed to make a last minute decision.If they are so service-oriented for someone for whom they are not receiving payment, I can only imagine how gracious they must be for those preparing for their special day. Some of the feedback I am reading boggles my mind and is totally incompatible with my experience.My kids are younger so we have not needed tuxes or bridesmaids dresses yet, but when we do, Country Bride & Gent will be our destination.

I personally did not shop at this sham of a place, but my wife bought a bridesmaids dress from here not too long ago. After her appointment, I was greeted with tears as I came home due to the backhanded comments about how she wouldnt fit in the dress size she requested.It first started with the employee asking for my wifes size, then saying that she definitely wouldnt fit that, and should purchase 2 dress sizes up. Turns out she fit perfectly in the size that she requested.The second comment came when the measuring started, and the employee said do you happen to have a wallet or money in your back pocket? My wife replied no, to which the employee says oh wow! I feel sorry for you!.The customer service my wife received from this place was horrible. If you decide to purchase from here, I hope you dont have a self-image issue.

I keep seeing reviews about how awful the customer service was.... but we made an appointment last minute on a Friday and they squeezed us in no problem. From the second we walked in, to the moment we left, the Staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. Very helpful and attentive. My mother is very picky when it comes to dresses. Before this place, we had tried Lord and Taylor, Saks 5th Ave, nordstrom rack, neiman marcus...nothing. all bleh. I helped her pick out a few here. The 2nd dress she tried on, she immediately fell in love with. It was THE DRESS. the woman helping us suggested a small alteration, which we knew was absolutely needed. We know a seamstress so we will handle that. All around amazing experience.

Tried on wedding dresses here. The staff were pushy and didnt really listen to what I wanted. They also had very limited variety of dresses to choose from. Something about the store felt unclean too, which is the last thing you want when trying to purchase a white wedding gown.

These people have the nerve to size a dress when we specifically told them not to and try to charge 400 extra dollars for there mistake ... Like money comes out of thin air

People and selection were great. Got stuck on the return and they let me come late, very accommodating.

This was the first bridal shop I went to and I found my gown on my second appt! I absolutely loved the woman who helped me (Flossie). She was so sweet, never rushed me, and was able to somehow pick out a few dresses that I actually liked although I was horrible at describing what I was looking for. On my first appt I narrowed my selection down to 3 dresses. I came back a week later with my mom and MOH and ended up buying a dress that Flossie recommended (and no, it wasnt more money than the ones I had picked out). I ordered my gown and veil in October and I am still waiting for it to come in... Next week I have an appt for all of my girls to try dresses on. I cant wait! As far as the actual building goes, yea- it could stand to be updated. But who cares? Its not about what the place looks like! They have a HUGE selection of dresses. Also, you are not forced to get your dresses altered at their store, they are more than happy to give you your dress to be altered elsewhere and then they even offer the option for you to bring it back to be pressed for FREE! Overall, my experience was fantastic. Flossie really made my appointments stress-free.. she was also so helpful in getting me in and out of all of the dresses.

Their customer service is superior. Every time I take one of my Brides there they are always so accommodating and the quality of their gowns are runway status.
