I got my first Brazilian wax ever from Jordyn yesterday. She made me feel completely comfortable and I enjoyed talking with her.She was very professional, informative and sweet.It hurt like hell but very worth it! No bruises/bleeding or anything.I did have a small strip of hair left I noticed later that night.I got in easily today, and was touched up for free by Kylie. I highly recommend her as well!!!It was also very nice and clean inside both visits.I’ll be coming back for sure!

This was my first time at European wax center and I’d definitely recommend anyone to go there if you haven’t. I had Nevaeh give me a Brazilian wax and she did a wonderful job. Went in to get a Brazilian and Jordan was awesome! I was feeling very insecure but she was so professional and really friendly and made me feel at ease and walked me through the entire procedure. Definitely going back to her!On the flip side, I did notice several stray hairs after coming home so thats a bummer. Still pleased with the service though!Edit: went back within five days and Jordan waxed any remaining stray hairs. This service was completely free. Definitely going back.

I decided to try out this place to get a Brazilian wax because they were offering a 50% off coupon to new customers. The saying, You get what you pay for. Held extremely true in this case.Ive NEVER gotten a Brazilian wax and was sore and tender after until I went here. And to add insult to injury there was hair still left in places; It was not all thoroughly removed.The staff was nice courteous and professional though.Needless to say I was very unhappy with the service itself and I will never go back.

I got a brow waxing. It was honestly alright. Pretty over priced for what I got. Just shaped them up, took less than 5 minutes and the price would have been $22. Felt like my waxologist pulled the wax off too slow which made it hurt more. Instead of a fast swipe. I will not go back because its pretty pricey and the service was fair. She did not comb or scissor my eyebrows which was disappointing. Just tweezed. If you like a ritzy or snobby wax service this is it. This was my first time here and it was free so cant complain too much

I would’ve given my experience 5 stars. I got my brows done and my first Brazilian. The whole experience was professional, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, I have to rate it down because I asked to leave a 1inch strip of hair and she waxed me completely bare! I personally really, really dislike the completely bare look and since it’s a wax... I’m pretty much stuck with it the next few months. All in all a good experience, but I’m not satisfied with the final look.

Don’t come here! They didn’t inform me until the day of my appointment when I came in that you can’t have used certain acne products before getting waxed. Seems like something that should have been in an email and not just lost in the notes on their website. Won’t be coming back.

I have been going here for about a year, since I moved to the Lansing area, and Rebekah has been doing my brows since then. I decided to finally get my first Brazilian wax and booked that with Rebekah as well and it went great. I let her know that it was my first time and she walked me through the process, told me what to expect (both before and during the service), and was very friendly and reassuring throughout. She recommended the ingrown hair serum to me which I bought and so far I love. I will definitely continue getting waxed here as long as I live in the area!

I have been getting Brazilians for years. When I lived in LA, CA it was very easy to get a wax. I’ve been home in Lansing, MI and I have had a couple of experiences when I could actually find someone.This is THE BEST WAX experience I’ve EVER had!!!I pretty much got a full body today. REBEKAH made me feel sooo comfortable! She was so nice and professional and FAST!!!Victoria was handling the front desk! She was fabulous as well. I bought a “pass”! I can’t wait to return! I had my first ever Brazilian wax done by Chelsea back in July. She was absolutely amazing to work with and made sure I was comfortable during the process. I tend to be a very self conscious person and she put my nerves at ease with her warm and friendly personality. The process was a lot less painful than I’d expected and was done in about 10 minutes! I was very happy with the results.I’ve been back a second time since then and even purchased the 1 year wax pass because it was too good of a deal to pass up.

So my friends this just happened. I went to European Wax Center as we’ve been going there for awhile since Arizona. I don’t use mine eyebrow waxes because I got microbladding done. I was stopping here in Lansing so my daughter could use hers. Well I wasn’t allowed in because of policy and Covid so I sat in car and it was raining. After she came out at 3:37 pm and said they said I can’t wait in the building until my appointment at 3:45 pm. She goes back in at 3:45 pm and a woman is walking around shopping freely but I wasn’t allowed or she wasn’t allowed to wait inside. So I get a text from Makayla saying they are telling her she has no more waxes. I go back inside to fix the error and the associate Victoria tells my daughter she is a thief and calls security and states I have people here trying to steal free waxing. Security shows up and I speak to the manager Meghan on the phone from the stores phone. I tried explaining they must have a mistake and her name is spelled wrong in system and try our number instead. NOPE she (Victoria) makes a big deal and Makayla is scared at this point. I pay for this so called waxing and the manager Meghan calls me and apologizing for the mistake after she arrived to the store and realized what had happened. Ummmmm..... I have never in my mind had a person call my daughter a thief over a 20.00 eyebrow wax. Needless to say I got my money back and Arizona is going to give me the rest for what wasn’t used. Never again will I let my daughter go to European Wax Center EVER AGAIN. I paid a lot of money for those prepaid waxes and this is how she was treated. Needless to say she didn’t like the wax that was done. I know Meghan called to apologize but I was floored at the way they treated my daughter, she didn’t deserve that and I would not recommend going to anyone.

Chelsea did a wonderful job! Loved her positive attitude and was amazed at how smoothly the entire process went. She seems to magically distract you right before a potentially painful moment so you are unlikely to experience any discomfort whatsoever. The administrator (I believe her name is Angela but I apologize if I am wrong!) is really friendly and helpful, making sure that every client feels welcome.

If you ever come in ask for Josephine P she was a delight to be around and made the experience very comfortable. My first time was really bad so this was a thumbs up for me

Fast service and very friendly. Still hairs left after waxing over the skin a few times and tweezing but, I believe thats slightly normal after shaving for months and switching to waxing. Point is there are still hairs left after waxing the skin a few times and i am not completely smooth but still satisfied with the service.

The girls that checked me in are very nice and professional as was my waxer.I had my eyebrow, lip and under arms done. My eyebrows were perfect! If it’s your first time you can pick one body part from a list of a few for free. I picked my eyebrows then the girl at the front explained that they had a promotion going on for brows for the month, so I got TWO services free, Eyes brows and underarms all I had to pay for $12 for the lip. I will definitely be back.

Rushed through the Brazilian and left tons behind. Esthetician didn’t leave the room for me to get undressed. Some strips were left on too long others not long enough. Left the appointment with stubble in some areas. This was the worst Brazilian I’ve ever had. Also, salon has a late policy for clients but my appointment started 15 minutes late. Very disappointed- I will not be back!

I received a complementary full leg, bikini line & underarm wax from Rebecca today who is a newer esthetician at EWC & in training.Rebecca was amazing! She was friendly, courteous & took her time with my appointment. I had not had waxing done in several years so I was a little nervous but as soon as my underarms were done I knew I was in good hands & the rest of the experience went smooth.I have had multiple experiences with multiple estheticians in my 20 years of having waxing done & this was one of the least painful & most comfortable experiences Ive had. The wax was extremely soft & gentle, Rebecca was very gentle in pulling it off, & I have no redness or welting after the fact.Even though this was a free service Rebecca did not make me feel rushed or any less than a paying client. She was extremely personable as well, asking questions to get to know me, & constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable & that the pain was minimal.I have already booked my next appointment with Rebecca & am so excited to find someone I like & can trust with my waxing needs!

I expressed to the receptionist that I needed someone who knew what they were doing and was very good, as i am very particular about my eyebrows. She referred me to one of the best at their European Wax Center and the esthetician got wax stuck in my hair and didnt even notice until I told her after looking in the mirror. She also left my eyebrows HACKED. Uneven, with open spaces here and there, and with just one hair at the end of one side. Their manager offered me a free leg wax to compensate for my jacked up eyebrows that Ill be sporting for the next few months, we scheduled an appointment and then the day of she told me she didnt have me scheduled. If you value your face and eyebrows, dont go here. Get them threaded or do them yourself.

STAY away from Alyssa. This was a DISASTER! Beginning to end. I waited for the clinician, (while she was in and out and chatting with friends) and then did not get the woman that I booked an appointment with. Then she clearly did not know what she was doing, and I was left bloody and in pain, sweating and miserable. A serious disappointment. Ripping wax off SIDEWAYS.

So i had a good first visit, and everything turned out good. Just had my brows done. The girl at the front (brunette) gave me a detailed walk through of their services and body products which was informative.I didn’t go back to my second reservation because i did not particularly like the girl who waxed me(blondish). She did a fine job no complaints on my brow waxing, even offered to fill them in, she just didn’t have the best things to say about her manager and coworkers. She seemed very bitter. It made me uncomfortable, I booked my next reservation when I left, but I did not go to it. Like I said I liked the girls who I saw when I got there and the waxer did good on my waxing, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. It’s just all the extra stuff I didn’t particularly want to deal with.

What a miserable experience. Girl pulled the strips off slower than ever, and they didn’t get a portion of the region paid for, because they consider it part of a different region. Not to mention, she did it in 15 minutes and rushed through it. Leaving me with a garbage wax job and it clearly showed. Will never be coming back to this location again.

I went to ewc today as a last resort because I wanted to get waxed and had a bad (and painful) experience at the last place I went and had limited time to work with. I was so overtly pleased with my experience. My technitian was great and she made me feel comfortable and was very educated about what she was doing. I was a little leery when they said they use all hard wax but it was the least painful Brazilian wax I’ve ever had and very little redness afterwards. The building was beautiful and very upscale feeling. So happy with my results and I’m excited to go back for my next one!

I’ll start off with the good although it does not outweigh the bad at EWC in Lansing... The staff was professional and nice, the facility was clean and welcoming, and the booking service online was super efficient.Now onto the unfortunate negative... I have been getting Brazilian waxes regularly for over a year at a local place in Lansing but in May 2018, I decided to try EWC after my normal lady was booked at the other place. I booked an appointment for a Brazilian but noted that I wasn’t sure if my hair was long enough, they called to let me know that they would be more than happy to take a look and if they couldn’t wax it then they would not charge me.Appointment time. I go back to the room and the wax technician (Kylie) said my hair was too short but wanted to give me a free bikini wax - which I found out later was complimentary as a first time client.I have been waxed over 20 times and never swelled and welted as much as I did after this bikini wax. At first I was thinking maybe the wax had a different ingredient that my skin was not used to and it was a short term reaction. 3 days pass. 6 days pass. I’m still welted and now covered in, what looks like, ingrown hairs.I have been burned once in the past, so I know that what happened to me at EWC was not a burn situation. But maybe an undereducated wax technician? Why would she not want to wax me for a Brazilian but instead a bikini wax if the hair wasn’t long enough? Maybe I had these bumps from the hair being too short? I’m not sure.I called to let the manager know and asked some questions, just so it doesn’t happen to someone else and they offered an ingrown hair serum for free but that didn’t help.It is now July 2018 and after having smooth skin and minimal irritation down there my whole life whether I wax or shave, I’m left with permanent scarring of large red lesions from whatever did this to me.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone after my experience here.

I was very disappointed with my experience at EWC. I have been getting waxed for some years now at the Ann Arbor location and I have always had great experiences there. I was hesitate to go to the Lansing location but I was in the area.I will start by complimenting the front desk. Very nice and professional. On to the bad: My waxer was a lady name Belle. I had the worst experience ever. First, she was not very friendly, she never sad anything rude to me, she was justnonchalant (appearing as if she did not want to be there). She never smiled and acted as if she did not want to touch me. It was worst then going to my OBGYN. I felt so uncomfortable. FYI: It is not easy getting undress in front of a stranger.On to the wax: It was a little more painful then the other times in the past, but that is something I can overlook. I got my underarm, full leg, and full bikini done. My underarm is fine. My bikini and leg area were left with so much hair. My inner thigh didnt even look like it was waxed. I was so frustrated. Moreover, after the waxing, Belle left globs of sticky wax all over my legs, pelvic and butt area. When I walked out of the center, I was covered in powder. Arms and legs. I was so baffled all I could do was cry. The receptionist was really sweet and offered to schedule me a touch-up with someone more experience. When I complained to the receptionist she stated, the esthetician that did my wax was known for speed not accuracy. My thought, she may need to have some training. Belle is in a field that could really damage someone, if she is not up to par then she needs more training, and not training on paying customers. I live an hour from this center and pay a lot of money for these wax job. All I wanted was a good wax job. If you suck at your job, you could at least be friendly. I just had the worst wax experience today. When the receptionist ask if I was leaving a tip. I laughed and showed her my thigh, which answered her question. Sorry, but I will stick to the Ann Arbor location.
