Our troop needed some performance apparel and we came to the best place in our area which is MK Dancewear. The rewards program allows us to take care of our students. We use the discount to help our kids who come from families that are going through financial difficulties. Without all the help we can get we would be in danger of losing some of our most promising talent.

Having proper fitting pointed shoes is so important as a ballerina. Heather is the best at perfecting the right shoe and offers sewing repairs as well. I enjoy working with a master fitter who has experience as a dancer. She is the only person I trust with such an important part of my life.

I went in hoping they could help me and they blew me away! I direct a high school theater and have no dance experience. Ok, I did do tap dance and ballet but I want even in the double digits age wise so I dont think that counts. Heather was incredibly patient as she walked me through the different types of shoes and the benefits for each one. She was very honest about which shoes were better and why even if sometimes they were the cheaper shoe. She is incredible knowledgeable and friendly. I am so happy I stopped by her store and look forward to working with her for many years to come!!

The selection here at MK Dancewear is second to none. Heather’s years industry experience must give her a leg up as far as knowing what to stock for all of us dance addicts. I have never looked for a shoe, leotard or accessory I could not find.

It takes a dancer to really understand the importance of properly fitting dancewear and accessories. MK Dancewear has the best selection of all things dance in Portage. From leotards to pointed shoes, I won’t shop anywhere else.

Our dance group needed updated dancewear and knew exactly who to contact. MK Dancewear has the best service in Lansing. The Rewards Program is an excellent resource for groups to save money, without ever having to worry about quality. We won’t use anyone else.

Heather carries an amazing variety of sizes in pointe shoes! We have been able to leave with a pair of shoes every time that fit my daughter! Heather takes her time and is very kind and patient.

Depending on the site itself, online shopping can be a delight or a nightmare. Thanks to the organization of MK Dancewear’s finding what I’m looking for online is just as easy as when I visit their physical location. Of course when time allows, I would much rather get a chance to say hello to Heather in person though. I really respect the way she is following CDC guidelines, requiring masks but not going over the top about it.

I want to say the Customer Rewards program keeps me loyal to MK but that isn’t actually true because I wouldn’t shop anywhere else for my dancewear anyway. It is a great perk though and makes their already low prices even lower.

It’s always a pleasure to shop at this dance store. The owner is fantastic!! My daughter has been successfully fitted by her in pointe shoes and ballet flats. I appreciate the extra precautions she takes currently during Covid. Highly recommend this wonderful dance store!

Addison has gotten her pointe shoes here since Bottoms went out if business. Heather is very knowledgeable and does a great job. Addies shoes are well fit and comfortable for her. This is Addisons last year of pointe and we are going to miss Miss Heather.

My son feels respected when we shop at MK Dancewear for items he needs for class. He appreciates that the store and the employees recognize that guys dance too. He especially appreciates that the store decor is gender sensitive. And if hes happy with the experience, I am happy.

Such a wonderful dance store with a wide variety of apparel, shoes and knowledge! The only place I go for my pointe shoe fittings (or any shoe fitting for that matter). Heather and her staff are so well trained and know exactly how to get me what I need. I always leave feeling cared for and satisfied with the products. I strive to support women-owned small businesses and this store makes it easy to do so.

Google maps directions were a bit unclear but Ryan the sales associate was amazing and very helpful. Got me there and helped me get the dance shoes I needed and I was on my way.

Open 4 hours a week with only one employee during that time. Multiple people Waiting for people to try on multiple shoes. Expect long waits.
