I agree with the store being well stocked and having a little bit of everything. But as a previous comment states the older lady at the checkout, gives poor customer service and has an attitude. I am lucky to get her to say my total, that is why I stopped going there. La Rosita on Ridge has great customer service!

Cerro Grande Supermercado is a wonderful little grocery store that focuses on Hispanic cuisine. They have a little kitchen that you can order from. They also have a deli that serves lunchmeat and cheese along with butcher meats. Go check them out! Ceviche and guacamole are really good but guacamole is pricey.

Great little store. Shelves well stocked and neat. Meat counter is the best! Very accommodating! Chicharonnas are the BEST!!

This store could be 5 stars except every single time I go in there the older lady at the register ALWAYS has attitude. Other than that the store is well kept and the butchers are always nice. I never ordered food from the kitchen.

Not ordering food from here again. They never took down our order, or they gave it away. On the other hand, the owners daughter apologized and gave us the food for free.Thank you very much for that. She said people come and leave a deposit for orders. No one told us that over the phone. Im not shopping there again though. Its a plus if you speak Spanish.Most of the workers were not wearing MASKS!! Theres a mask mandate for Illinois!

I thought I would try it out seeing as Im consciously spending money in my community. This store is considered authentic. Its too small of a space for everything they are trying to sell. And they really should make the kitchen area at least look a little sanitized. I will probably go back if Im in the mood for certain seasonings but other than that no.

So much homemade Mexican food and everything else that goes with it. Pork and chicken tamales, carnitas, salsa, cheese etc. They even have two tables to grab a quick lunch. Food is soooo good....tiny place but might flavors...m

Good burritos but prices are high for a Mexican grocery store. More in line with a nice restaurant that serves free salsa and chips with your order.

This place used to be awesome. We got the tamales ( they where ok) carnitas tasted like they were soaked on lime, it gave it a funky taste. The refried beans were like soup, I threw them out and the Mexican rice had NO flavor. Will never go there again.

Lots of fresh Mexican food. Carnitas are really tasty, and so is their chicharron which seems to be made fresh on the weekends. Butchers are very friendly and helpful. Cashiers could take some tips from them.

The owners really shouldnt have the younger people running the store. Lack of knowledge with prices and not at the register when I was ready to check out then eating the food at the register.

I purchased some tamales, I asked for cheese tamales, (for my vegetarian husband) when I got home they were all chicken,.. I had to cook something else for him.....my idea was not to cook at home that day😟

My experience shopping at this store was wonderful. The store was clean, organized, and the shelves filled with a variety of products that I needed, all under one roof. I loved the assortment of Mexican candy and the tacos! You need to get the tacos! 10/ 10 would recommend you shop here for your needs.

I love this store and i saw a guy that works in the produce that smells really bad and i saw him pick his nose and whipped it on his shirt and i’m never buying produce again.

They have authentic Mexican food and supplies. Near my home, and the only place I can find slopes and homemade pork rinds for my husbandLove it!

Let me start by saying that this store has been ripping people off since they opened, first they charged people for using their credit cards/debit, they stopped charging but they overpriced their merchandise to make up for it. The employees in the meat department have great customer service, but compared to the other small stores in our community their prices are hiked. Now during these troubled times, they are hiking their prices super high on a lot of the essential items, especially the prices on meats are ridiculous! The Mexican store on Ridge has more competitive prices on their items. I will definitely no longer support a business that takes advantage of people, especially the hispanic community.

Great little Mexican store and taco place. But a little expensive.

Great store until I noticed they started charging convenience fees for using your credit card without letting people know. This store needs to put up a sign letting customers know they will charge a convenience fee for using your credit card. They did not use to charge fees, but recently they changed their machine and now they charge you a fee for buying at their store. Not good!

This is a good local store to buy Mexican produce. The staff is friendly. The prices are a bit higher than at other food stores but the location is convenient.

A great selection of mexican foods. Fridays only-Pozole; Saturday Sunday hand made tortillas. Tamales. Carnitas Nd barbacoa. The tacos ate delicious and sizeable.

Very poor and rude customer service. Cashiers dont honor prices on shelf. Then blame customers for them not updating shelf prices. Items which are fully stocked at a certain prices are up charged at registers. Wont be supporting this business again.

I had some tacos here not too long ago and they were delicious! They also host karaoke days which makes them very unique.You can buy your everyday groceries here, eat a 5 star meal, and sing your heart out!I will surely return to cerro grande.

Horrible...i may just change it in the future but as of right now its horrible. I understand it barely opened but i went to the taqueria part of it and everything i ordered was just wrong. So if you order something from there double check your food before you pay. Just saying.
