Absolutely wonderful experience with this place. We broke down an hour away from home and they towed our vehicle and repaired it - a rebuilt engine! Great service, friendly.

Super knowledgeable and friendly. Had them look over my car due to an electrical issue that is not affecting car functioning or usage and they were honest and upfront regarding cost vs value (I have a 20 year old beater car that doesnt have much value). Instead of just taking my money when I asked for the repair. In addition, I was referred by my normal mechanic, who didnt know when he would be able to get it in due to staffing issues. Knowing my trusted mechanic, also trusts averys for their overflow work makes me think they must be good at what they do and must be honest.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at any shop. They did stuff without being approved. They did a alignment and the car won’t drive straight for more than 20ft. The people at the counter were rude and not helpful. I wouldn’t let them put air in a tire in a bike tire

They are wonderful, great vehicles for an incredible price! They were so friendly and Megan even came in to write up an agreement when she was off. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and has even carved out time before a wedding to allow us to pick up the car. The best transaction I have ever had. I’ve been going to Avery’s for a few years for my maintenance on my vehicles. I decided it was time for a new vehicle and went to Avery’s to see what was on the lot. I Found a 2011 GMC Terrain that I fell in love with. The Buying process with Avery’s was simple and they helped me find a great lender to finance through. Simple answer is I would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle take a look at Avery’s as well as taking their vehicle there for maintenance needs.

Jim is one of the most honest mechanics I ever dealt with. Not one to scam you for a quick buck. Does good work and stands behind it. Businesses owners could learn a lot from him on how he runs his shop. Moved up here a few years ago and I found my mechanic. Great job Jim.

We purchased our first rust treatment from Avery Motors and very impressed! We live an hour away and the scheduling, transfer and pick up was very smoothe. It was especially cool to get a tour of how they apply the coating and the lengthy process followed to hit every detail! Hometown feeling and effort like their income relied on it! Highly recommend them!

If I was able to give them 0 stars I would! I took my mini cooper in because it was sputtering when trying to accelerate. They preceded to change the oil, the wrong oil at that, then gave it back to us.... after having it from Thursday morning to Monday afternoon! At this time I was trying to drive out west and 30 minutes into my trip the car started shaking and jolting uncontrollably! I called Averys for a tow and they were unprofessional and rude. The guy was beyond annoyed that he had to come get the car from grand blanc. Today they tell us its the transmission and they cant fix it. The worst part about all of this is they lied and said they told us about the transmission problem when we picked it up! All they told us is that they changed the oil. Period! I will never go back nor recommend them to anyone!!! BEWARE, THEY LIE TO COVER THEIR A**!!

Averys is great! Weve been taking our vehicles here for repairs for a long time. Weve always trusted them with our cars. They are honest, friendly, quick and fair. I reccomend taking your vehicle to Averys next time you need auto service.

I have been taking my cars to Averys for 18 years. There is no one, I trust more to repair my vehicles! Honest, fair, stands behind their work. I highly recommend them, Jim, Dan, and their staff, are top notch. They will never sell you something you dont need. As an example, I took my Jeep Wrangler to them, and asked them to replace the brakes, front and rear, and fix my emergency brake. Two hours later, they called, told me emergency brake was replaced, and I didnt need new brakes. They could have taken advantage of me, and do a complete brake job, and no one would be the wiser. You dont get more honest than that! Did I say, I highly recommend them? Its worth repeating!!

Averys Auto group is the only shop that o will take my car to get it worked on. They have the best prices and their customer service is unbelievable. I can call them any time if I have any questions knowing that they can help me.

Had a new engine and radiator put into my car in March. The check engine light was on after this was done, three AC in my car goes on and off and the car continues to get hot and there is coolant in it. Over $2,000 spent only to be told constantly they dont have time to look at problems that werent an issue before the work. Looks like legal services might be in order here

Cheap refurbished batteries. Also sell reconditioned ones, meaning they had small defect so cant put on shelf at major stores

I have always gone to Averys. Even though I moved to Grand Blanc I still would go there. However they have disappointed me this last time. I went in this summer in July with a knocking sound on my left drivers side tire. Was told it was nothing. Than again in September. The Owner went for drive with me and said It is nothing. The car has 180k miles on it. You need to stop listening to all the knocking sounds your car is old. Turn the radio up. Never took it in and looked underneath. Okay fair enough I thought. This week my car was squealing and on Tuesday I called Averys. They could not get me in till next Monday. So I took a referral and went to ABC Repair in Davison. The squealing was my pulleys. However he said did you know your front driver side tie rod is bad. He wiggled my tire with one hand. He said this is dangerous and you are lucky. I guess Averys didnt want to take me serious cause Im a woman. They have now lost my business.

I personally know the some of the family and think very highly of them! I also personally know several of their customers! Averys staff are honest, hardworking, loyal to their customers and exhibit a high level of integrity! I would recommend Averys to anyone in need!

I will not even waste my time telling you my entire experience and you can take it for what its worth. Never again will Averys wrench on mine or anyone I know vehicle. Unless of course something happens AGAIN to their half ass service. Its one thing trying to get over on someone with no clue what youre feeding them but I know a thing or two about wrenching. ONLY reason my vehicle even went there was my lack of time do to work travels. Dishonest workers, its a shade tree mechanic service that will send you on your way hoping their work holds together. When it doesnt its all damage control for them. You want my hoesnt opinion avoid this place if at all possible, if nothing else an absolute last resort.

Avery was honest, timely, and backed up all work they performed. I no longer live in the area but still drive my vehicles back into Lapeer to have Avery’s do repairs.

I have always had great service from Jim and his crew.

Got absolutely fleeced by averys back in 2012. took a car in for oil change and they recommended a new oil pan due to rust. very next day after I got the work done, check engine light came on with a low oil pressure light and a brand new knock appeared that was never there. car drove fine before then. averys replaced the engine with a used one, which then proceeded to fail within a week. also during thus period of time my car ran out of gas at an eighth of a tank left, which I had driven it below that before, and now averys is telling me that I need a new fuel pump too. my car WAS DOWNRIGHT SABOTAGED BY AVERYS AND I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMOND ANYONE TO EVER STEP FOOT IN THEIR SHOP. you could be like me and take your car in for an oil change and come out 3 months later 6$ in the hole with an unusable car that was perfectly reliable before.
