I’ve spent a whole year here for work. What a great place.. the lake is beautiful, as is the beach! when you travel for work 24/7/365 you figure out rather quickly what to look for in a campground. Look no further. Owners are great and genuine people. Les is always offering to help, and they take care of their campers like family. The store is more than convenient, whether you need a fitting to fix something on your trailer, or a six pack of beer and some bait. The laundry facility is always clean, and the seasonal folks here are all very nice and welcoming. The owners really care about people and it’s apparent. I’m not sure what the low ratings are all about - but I’d put money on them deserving the treatment they’ve received. Anywho, I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a low key, relaxing place to call home for a weekend or even months at a time.

Great campground! Has a store in it that sells a little of everything. Great lake and beach. The place is is kept clean. Nice people and helpful. I recommend this campground !

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Unfortunately they are the only place on the lake so they think they can treat people with a complete lack of respect. They have no issues yelling at your kids and treating your guests even worse. I would constantly have to apologize to my family and friends for their rude behavior. My advice is find a better place that will appreciate your business.

I travel with my husband for work along with our 2 year old twin boys. The owners are great, so nice! It’s great to have a playground & private beach. They have large, grass spots. The location is perfect... you feel like you’re far from town but most things are within 8 minutes. We’ve stayed at over well over 30 campgrounds and this is definitely on the top of our list!

Extremely unfriendly, poor customer service!! When we went to renew our contract we were told we were trespassing and were no longer welcome with no explanation!! I would not recommend giving them your business!!

We paid for the month of May, unfortunately it rained almost the whole month! HOWEVER, everyone else at least could put a rug down and sit outside but NOT ON OUR LOT! I realize the owners have no control of the rain, they do have control of the lots, it was a easy fix and they did nothing!!! When asked about a partial reimbursement, because you had to wear boots to get in or out and ended up only staying 10 days, the owner was rude and yelling! CAMPERS BEWARE!

Nice little campground, the seasonal people were nice and it was a nice area with a good views. Not much to do around, but we werent looking for entertainment. The owners were very welcoming.

Was vacationing from Illinois and decided to stop in and wow the customer service woman behind the camp store was ignorant and rude as they come!! Was looking for places to camp and stay through my travels but this will never be a stop for me again! I asked many questions about the campgrounds and had the most disrespectful and un happy responses. Apparently they do not want or welcome people outside of there area!!!

The best campground around this area for sure. Its very clean, quiet, and friendly.

I have been a seasonal camper at Hilltop for three years and will continue to camp here. Les and Lisa are some of the best people you will ever meet. They treat my kids like family, the staff here is great to and for the money you cant go wrong. I feel so fortunate to have found this place, from the fishing, the seasonal people, the peace and tranquility that I have when Im here, its great. I have read a lot of terrible reviews about this place and I couldnt agree with any of them. Come here and find out for yourself. My brother and I enjoyed camping here because it was a nice, quiet campground. We used some of the playground equipment and visited the small beach where we could actually see panfish in the water. The convenience store was good and the restrooms, showers, and the laundry were spotless. Very comfortable and fun, so we want to go back again in the future.

It was really fun and the lake was awesome and tether ball was fun all my friends stayed up till like 12 playing tether ball the only thing that I didnt like was that when we were checking in the person taking our money for our trip she was really mean to kids the other thing that I wasnt happy with was the size of our camping sight it was really small

No tent camping. Some people cant afford campers. No good

Minimal kids amenities, if you dont have a golf cart youll be walking because of the hilltop sites.Owners are very nice, seasonal tenants are welcoming, site sizes are generous. Nice place just not for grandkids

I have owned my own camper and camped MI for over 10 years. This was the worst campground I have ever experienced. The owners spread drama filled lies about me to other campers. Fortunately they were my family. Telling them I gave my key card out to people. When I explained the situation to them and asked for an apology the owner rolled her eyes and said I dont care. Camping is suppose to be relaxing. Dont waste your money go to Metamora Hadley less than 5 min away.

The staff are very welcoming they will put your watercrafts in the water for you the permanent campers are very friendly beautiful place

Great place to camp not to far from a town but far enough

Hilltop Campground was always my favorite place to camp me n my dad spent a decade camping n 5th wheels, campers n allowed tents no tents allowed no more which I dont understand why call it a campground n the owners r fabulous n actually saved our family when our boat battery died ty very much (LES)but dont understand why all the rules changed n upset that u can pull ur boat up to thier store n spend 60 bucks but cant use the bathroom I wish I could go back camping there again cuz I would n a heart beat, very clean n well kept up. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GO BACK TO ALLOWING ALL CAMPERS (WITH TENTS) my children would be able to enjoy what I did, great fishing, nice private beach, respectful place,very clean bathrooms n showers, I will keep checking to see if they will allow tents again not all of us that r great ppl can afford a camper, motorhome, or 5th wheel.

I stayed here for 16 months when i was working in Holly. I had to interview to be a long term tennant. The interview process is to keep rif raf out. I had no issues with it. If your an upstanding cirizen youll have no issues. Owners and staff are awesome people. Very helpful and very courteous. I am re writing my review as im back working in sterling heights and staying here again. Very nice place, very clean and very professional. 10 stars
