This location has zero customer service! I get that Laplace went through hurricane Ida. However I do not understand why when you try to get some simple service people are friendly. I did try to purchase a refrigerator for my employees that was actually on their floor. They did not have any refrigerators left except for one that was out of the box. I still had the tape and it was listed with the tag. They said they just simply could not sell a display unit. when I asked why, they just said they never do. This was from the customer service desk. You can see the pictures that simply show that they definitely sell their display units :-)

When I watch and read about African American customers getting second hand services at business I tend to ignore them or dismissed them as circumstance. Then, there are some circumstances that make me wonder like what happened today. I needed a key cut so I wont to the Isle as directed by customer service to get it cut. NO one was there so I waited for 15 minutes. After NO employee showed up I asked a cashier for help. She paged someone to help me. After another 15 minutes, I asked her to page for help a second time. NO one came. At that time, a white lady came by who also needed a key cut. I told her I was there for now 25 minutes waiting for someone without a response. She went to the She cashier I went to and asked for help. Soon after, a white employee was there to cut our keys. I began to wonder, was it my hair (I was male with braids) or skin color that deterred an employee from servicing my request. The white lady who was slso waiting was very kind, but from what I could tell, seemed somewhat bewildered by why I waited so long. Made me wonder if this incident was subjectively motivated or if it was just matter of circumstance. Whatever the case, the poor customer service is enough to prevent me from shopping here again!

Never have two items you need. They never restock high demand items in a timely manner. Ive had to get their employees on more than one occasion to help me find items that was showing in stock online but ended up unpacked on a pallet where it would be impossible to locate on your own. Just go to another Home Depot if you can. I give them 2 stars because the place is clean and the employees are friendly and helpful even if they cant find the items themselves. They try.

Store was neat and tidy but the one item we went to get (riding lawn mower) we was told we couldnt purchase due to it being broken. When I worked at Lowes all the broken mowers were picked up in receiving where no customer could see it, not left on the floor with nothing to say that it couldnt be purchased.

Never had a bad experience here. You can find all you need here and if you cant find it then they can order it for you. Employees are all very nice and seem to know what theyre talking about. Would go back again.

My visit is always pleasant at this store. More so now that the Pandemic has allowed more friendly helpful assistance throughout the store. The check out area always pleasant. No long lines with sparse staff, still a lot of businesses understaffed. Hopefully with the latest Covid variants on the rise again, more people will get vaccinated and come back to work.Plants are outrageously priced everywhere. Wish they’d give us some kind of break on items so ch as these. We still enjoy doing outdoor activities. Plants are not a staple in life. They are good for the earth and people overall. At 8:00 on a hot, muggy Saturday night, my husband and I were at a different Home Depot to buy a replacement ceiling fan for ours that died. Looking on the website, we discovered that this Home Depot had the fan we needed. In desperation, I called and spoke to a very friendly and helpful Ms. Nika who not only checked to make sure they had it in stock, she held it for me at the customer service counter on my promise that I would be there before their 9:00 closing time. We raced over and arrived at 8:45, with Nika calling me once to ensure that I was en route. Its little things like this that make a big difference to customers and I cant thank Nika enough because we were finally able to sleep cool and comfortably!

Not good at all. They put most of their BBQ pits outside for them to rust and where their is no one to assist you. Then when we decide and go inside to pay no one comes outside to unlock the locks. And then when they do the gentleman does not even speak to us. Bad service all around.

The salesperson that helped me today was the highlight if my visit, the young cashier in outside lawn and garden aas very pleasant as well!

Cashier treated me and my female friend as if we were idiots. I use a power wheelchair and she deferred to my friend as if I was too stupid to understand anything.

Convenient location for me. Im always able to get in and out with no fuss, and more often than not, in little time. Almost never have to wait in line to check out, but thats probably because of the pandemic. Helpful (usually) staff, and I love the gang at the Pro Desk. Prices are good, and selection is usually good as well. The problem is inconsistency. The quantities and availability of items often differs wildly between what you see online and in the app versus whats actually in the store. And thats not just since covid, its been like that for years. This is from years of shopping here both for myself and for work. Always clean, though.

Dont rely on their online inventory counts. Theyre never correct. At least 3 times in past few months Ive looked up inventory available online before going to the store only to get there and go home Empty handed. At one point, a store associate told me that it had been 3 months since that part of the store had been inventoried - they showed 56 of the item but had none. I left the store 5 minutes ago again Empty handed. I placed an order online 2 days ago i get to the store today and they only had half of the order because inventory was not correct. How do you do that? Do you not verify your orders? Theres an area in the store at side just for online orders. Do you not pull the order of the shelf as soon as its placed?I wont order online anymore. Cant trust the online inventory either. Maybe instead of wasting my time hoping that home depot will have what i need, Ill just go to ace or lowes. Even Walmart has a lot of the same stuff and their inventory is usually correct.

If you need to rent a tool from them save your time and dont bother going to this location. We asked customer service to page someone for us so we could rent an auto feed drain cleaner, which she did. The girl at customer service was great. While we were waiting back there 6 employees were standing around and 1 had the audacity to look at us and say We should have closed the doors and locked it, now we have customers to deal with back here. Even after that we waited a few mins to see if they would help us. They did not and we left. I dont know whos in charge of that department but they all should be fired. Absolutely ridiculous customer service from them.

Mr. Andy by electrical was very busy and took the time to bring me to each item that I was looking for. The loader josh in the parking was great help he pushed my car and loaded all my material.

When Im in need of specialty light bulbs....this is the place I go to. They usually have all kinds of specialty size light bulbs. Today I was there around 5pm and was in luck. Just remember specialty light bulbs are not cheap.

I spent nearly two hours loading up with lumber $500 after my military discount. Though there were abundance of workers around not a single one offered to help. I used to praise them for their attentiveness but not anymore. Lowes has passed them in that department.

Working on a house with no power full of kids and needed to swap a part. Stood in line at customer service but gentleman was busy; Yvonne was standing by observing and after 10 minutes decided to offer assistance; ridiculous

Workers are not the most helpful and they where on there phones. The store was clean enough. Everything was labeled though some of the labeling had fallen down.

Going to the store is fine if you will not need help. Hard to find help from person in the department. Also never ever purchase installation, it takes forever, if you get them at all. I have tried this 3 times with carpet, doors, and water heater. Carpet process went great. Water heater had to be cancelled because they could not find an installer after they charged me for it to be installed. The storm doors are in, but cant get installer scheduled. Use local handymen and save some money and hassle.

I must say, I tried to give Home Depot another shot at a big order. This time I ordered around $9000 worth of mixed materials. Lumber roofing, electrical and so on. I went to the store ordered, and set a delivery date, at which time I see all of the materials on the shelf. Low and behold, they sell most of my material to everyone else before my delivery date comes AFTER I’ve paid for it all! Then don’t have any more available for most of it. Figures. The only reason they gave me is that they don’t have enough room to store an order that big to where it’s not left on the shelf. I say why not tag it sold and put it on one of the infamous top shelves or something! Don’t sell what I’ve already paid for because it’s mine already. Right? They didn’t have much to say. So I actually had to go to Lowe’s and the lumber was amazing compared to HD’s lumber. The lumber at HD is warped twisted, flat out curved, you name it. Never again. I’ve spent well over $65,000 in the last year w HD and get treated like this for it. Never again. The pro desk, service desk, and cashiers are great, but their hands are tied. Never once when I asked to see the manager did I actually see her. Made me feel like I wasn’t worthy for her time. They didn’t even give me a discount for my trouble of having to replace all of my stuff with the next nearest competitor being 30 miles up the road. I’m a little disgusted to be honest.P.S. The brand new GE stove I bought with the rest of my kitchen appliances, JUST out of warranty, broke. They said is now discontinued.They didn’t try to help with that either. They told me to call GE. Without giving me a phone number. That’s all with having a “Pro Account” too! Nice huh?

Drove from New Orleans to buy a tool box that they said was in stock. When I got there to buy it the actual store was using it as their own and it could not be sold to me. So I went to customer service to go ahead and order one online. When I explained what happened to (Chantel or shawntey something like that) she said “ok so what we have plenty of tool boxes” and was insanely rude because I didn’t have the skew number.... so I just told her not to worry about it and will be buying from another company. Just a bummer when someone who works in customer service lacks the ability to provide that for customers. I am only writing this in hopes that the store may see this review and provide some sort of training or address the issues so that this won’t happen to other customers.
