I purchased a used boat from Davinci Motor Group in October 2020. I was slightly hesitant to purchase a used boat from them initially because I didn’t know much about the company at that time. I scheduled an appointment with their salesman Stoney to look at the boat, liked what I saw, and moved forward with the purchase. After a few water tests the boat had a small issue that could not have been foreseen by anyone. Davinci helped me resolve the issue and really did more than I expected to help a previous customer. I just got boat ceramic coated inside and out. All I can say is WOW. My boat is only 4 years old and not really outside much, after I got it back it looked better than new!! BUYERS BEWARE – ENGINE ISSUESOur experience with DaVinci Motor Group LLC located in Laplace Louisiana; a boat and car brokerage company that specializes in high-end boats/vehicles was a complete nightmare post boat sale. We found a boat through online research and contacted the salesman, Brett Davidson. He was courteous and answered several questions about the boat. In addition, we requested to see the service/maintenance records, to which he was going to get back with us.We reached out to Brett to schedule a time to see the boat in person and also for a test-drive (sea test). Brett informed me that a sea test is not permitted and that all boats are professionally inspected upon arrival. He then reassured us this boat was in very good condition.Upon arrival at DaVinci Motor Group, my wife and I met with Brett and the owner, Will Varuso to look at the boat. We were pleased with the condition that the boat appeared to be in. Brett began testing the controls, showing us the features and then started testing the engine using water hose and boat flushing muffs (ear muffs).Upon testing, there was an issue with the water flow getting to the engine and Will stated that the bigger engines (this is a 250 HP) have a harder time getting pressure using a water hose and ear muffs. I then asked Brett “I thought you professionally inspect all boats when they arrive?” Brett stated, “we did not inspect this particular boat.” This should have thrown up a red flag on my purchasing decision, however it was reassured to us that the lack of pressure was merely due to the larger engine size.In hopes to receive the service/maintenance records soon, we decided to purchase the boat and shortly after, we dropped the boat off to a local and reputable mechanic to have a 100 hour service performed and also for inspection just for peace of mind and to validate that it’s sea-worthy.Our mechanic contacted us and stated the engine shows major signs of overheating and corrosion as if it was not properly flushed. Additionally, the mechanic informed us there was no way the boat was able to run properly and could prove it. He continued informing us that it was obvious the boat was driven with an extremely hot engine, as some of the impeller inside the water pump was melted and was sucked into the water pick-up tube (see figure 1), thus blocking water to the engine for cooling purposes. Based on this evidence, there is no way that this engine was initially tested/inspected by DaVinci Motor Group, as the engine would have overheated quickly.Additionally, visual evidence shows the engine was full of sand. (see figure 2). Some of the impeller melted in the impeller casing (see figure 3) and some pieces were found throughout cooling system.Upon learning the shocking and disappointing news from our mechanic, I immediately voiced my frustrations with Brett. He informed me I needed to speak with Will. Will called me and instead of offering a resolution to this bad motor issue, he became extremely defensive, focused on our mechanic being overpriced with his repair estimate to an overall complete hothead. My wife and I could not even get a word in edgewise. He claimed we purchased the boat ”as is.” He was completely unprofessional and kept interrupting to the point I informed him to not call me back, as we are turning this over to our attorney.We are pursuing legal action towards DaVinci Motor Group. One of the reasons we purchased from DaVinci Motor Group is they received good reviews and dealing with a broker helps eliminate the buyer from buying inoperable boats/vehicles. Not the case with this boat.Buyers, just be aware before you purchase from this business. DaVinci Motor Group advertises on their website they “professionally inspect on site,” which is false advertisement. (figure 4)DaVinci Motor Group LLC does NOT “offer the newest pre-owned, premium quality, boat dealer!” nor do they offer “unparalleled customer service.”

Will and his team will turn any car into a showroom car with their ceramic coat application process! Their attention to detail far exceeds any competitor by far. For quality exotic or classic cars, boats, trucks, or anything that has wheels Davinci Motor Group is your one stop shop.

Great experience, very friendly and made sure before I rolled off the lot that everything was in working condition and up to par! Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high quality low hour boat or vehicle!

Cleanest selection of pre-owned boats I’ve found at any dealer I’ve shopped at prior. The staff was very friendly and didn’t even try to pressure me into a sale. They were very patient with me until I found exactly what I wanted within my budget. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the market.
