This place is so good and has a lot of history. The Guava one was really good but the Coconut knocked it out of the park! It was so good with chunks of real coconut. You definitely have to visit and try all the different and odd flavors

We were impressed at the selection of tropical flavors in Lares of the ice cream. I will have to go again and try more flavors...My friend and I each had 4 scoops so I got to try 8 flavors. It was exciting!

I came all the way from New York City to this ice cream shop but little did I know I was going to have the worst experience. The ladies in this ice cream shop was so rude to me and my family. They look so unhappy and treated my 5 years old daughter like if she was an adult. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Plus the Ice cream was so bad and melted right away so if your looking for an experience DON’T COME HERE!!

Stunning! The amount of bizarre and absolutely weird ice creams is amazing.This local has been here for ages and is a rich part of the history of the municipality. Very fun place and I totally recommend you stop here if you happen to be by the area. There is also a little book you can sign and share your experience.

Excellent handmade ice cream parlour with several flavors to choose from... pumpkin, garlic, tomato, corn, rice and beans, coconut, mango, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, among many other unusual flavors. Service is excellent and prices are very affordable.

Worth every second of the drive to visit this gem on my fav island!Bring cash, but prices are veeeeery reasonable for these delicious and inventive ice creams. Some of the more adventurous were arroz con habichuela, maiz, ajo.My friend was adventurous and got maiz (corn) and it was soooooo tasty. I ordered coquito and Bizcocho almendrado and they tasted fabulous.When aguacate is available, make sure you get some?!

Place was clean, a good variety of flavors & a pretty plaza where you can enjoy your traditional ice cream. But I experienced a poor hospitality, an attitude that not invite to visit again.

Excellent place to eat many flavors of ice cream. Located in the center of the city. Use PR-129 from Arecibo to Lares. It is also an historic city to take pictures. You must go before 12:00pm becuase it usually rains later almost everyday.

Their nothing incredible compare to other places, beside is a pioneer in common and rare ice cream flavors. But is a great place to visit on a trip.

Great and very curious variety of ice cream...in the heart of Lares. Its a must-go-place if you visit Lares. Friendly staff. You have to find parking on the street but it will worth your while. you can try 3 flavors before deciding which one you go with.

Ice cream was incredible. The servers were so nice. The shop is quaint and comfortable. A lot of historical articles and features showcased there was very interesting. The only downfall was the ride coming from cabo rojo, was about 1.5 hours and the mountainous drive was a bit scary for me. However, was worth the experience.

The place is awesome, the ice cream flavors are great definitely worth the drive. Still I have 2 suggestions which is why I gave 3 stars. The taste is limited to 3 when they have over 15 flavors for someone that is not from the area is kind of hard to choose 3 from over 15 selections, also I would suggest to use foam bowls instead of plastic been that is always hot and foam bowls hold the cold longer and your ice cream will last a bit longer. Other than that everything was great and the staff was very friendly.

They are not the same taste anymore. Nothing special like before. Some other are much better in texture and flavor.
