The Sweet Lady I dealt with for my hard to find parts was the most knowledgeable, kind, and caring person I have ever dealt with in a marine store environment. These folks live there business, its not just another job for them and it certainly shows. I would drive hundreds of miles out of my way to return here in the future. I Could not recommend a place of business any higher, forget the chain stores and go here for true professional assistance.Chris L

We’re getting back into boating after being away from it for too many years... the folks at Seafarer have been very helpful and great to deal with. The location is great with a pretty good inventory of the everyday items you could ever need. With such a huge selection of parts and supplies available from so many suppliers these days I wouldn’t expect them to have everything in stock...they’ve been able to get what we’ve needed the next day. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thanks .

I hired Seafarer to work on my new used boat, aligning the engines and driveshafts on my twin straight inboards about 9 months ago. The mechanic they sent was very thorough and very knowledgeable and did a great job and also helped me by explaining the process of what he was doing and by explaining many other things to me about stuff on my boat that I didnt know. He did this while working at the same time I might add. Also, Camille in the shop has amazing knowledge of just about everything marine and has helped me several times finding hard to get parts on my older boat. They have had just about every part that I have ever needed, and the few times that they didnt have them, they got them the next day.By far I prefer them over the big name national marine store that hires mostly young people and charge high prices!I very much recommend Seafarer.

BEWARE! Long time customer of Seafarer, have spent a tremendous amount of money there in past 12 years. NEVER AGAIN. I scheduled trailer repairs through Rob (that the owner knew about) and was supposed to bring the trailer in for brake work 8 days later. But on that day the co-owner Camille, who is always arrogant and condenscending, said they were too busy, maybe call tomorrow, and hangs up the phone. So I called the next day and she told me they are too busy the entire week to look at the trailer, and I reminded her of the appointment I made, and then she says maybe you should go somewhere else then. Thats a classy thing to say from the owner, dont you think? Actually, its typical. Plain and simple mismanagement, 100% unorganized and inconsiderant.Wrong Mike, I never get or expect special treatment because Rob is family. Camille makes sure of that. Heading over to Gregors Marine Service, where they work as a team.......

Absolutely horrible customer service. Worst I’ve encountered in 18 years and 5 different boats….. Was told my boat would be looked at on several different occassions. Each time I called to see what the diagnosis was, they informed me that they didn’t make it out to see my boat and that they needed to call me back to see when they could fit it into their schedule. The last straw was when the technician hurt his back last week and couldn’t make it to the most recent appointment. Understand that I found this out by calling them, not vice versa. Understandable I suppose….Things happen and that’s fine. How they dealt with that situation however was totally unacceptable. When Wednesday the following week rolled around and I had still not been called to let me know when they would be re-scheduling, I was told they would fit into the schedule on the next opening they had. I specifically asked this question “so when your tech can’t make it to look at boat, for whatever reason, they rest of the people do not get bumped down the list?” The answer I got was “ no those other customer were already on the schedule” I guess I didn’t count as a customer….. Short version of my review…..If you use this company do not expect timely service or very good communication. Best of luck. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Seafarer Marine Supply Rocks!!!Tom and company not only completed a very difficult Atomic 4 to Yanmar 3YM30 conversion a few years ago on my C&C 33 sailboat but, have also handled items such as re-packing the stuffing box (very difficult due to this being a v-drive with the packing gland being located under the engine), providing engine care maintenance advice, and are great resources for Yanmar parts.I could not be happier with the service provided by Tom and his crew at Seafarer Marine Supply. They have always been johnny on the spot with advice and services. Since my first interaction with Tom and his crew a few years back they have always been very professional and more than fair with the pricing of products and services.I have nothing but great things to say about Seafarer Marine Supply and greatly appreciate all of the assistance they have provided me over the years.I would highly recommend Seafarer Marine Supply to anyone needing marine services and/or parts.Thank you Tom and crew and Seafarer Marine for all that you do!!!Mike Twining

I brought my Yanmar 30hp inboard in for a rebuild estimate. I was busy so let them take their time, but after 6 months, I said enough was enough... please give me an estimate. It still took another month to get the estimate, which was higher than the Yanmar experts gave me. So, because of the price and thinking it would probably take them a year to do the rebuild, I opted not to have them do the work and had them get it ready for pick up. I got the engine back in a jillion parts. They need to get their integrity back in if they want to stay in business.

I have been going to SeaFarer Largo for years and I am always very loyal to my mechanics. It hurts me to put up this review but this IS part of modern day business. These people have earned my trust years ago and I go out of my way to bring my and others business to them. However, the last several years have been disappointing. I have spent thousands with them for everything that they recommended and have always asked is there was anything else needed. One service tag they changed the ignition coil and module and said good to go. I have to push them to check for anything else and then they found that I had a bad drive seal and charged me over 1000. I was fine with that.Another ticket my engine keep failing to start after full boating day. This is after I just spent 1000s doing everything they recommended in terms of preventative. New carb, water pump, exhaust, plugs,....I did asked is it time for new engine and they said no. Yet I still get stranded 35miles out. They looked at it again and charged me 200 to find nothing wrong but just replaced a bad oil guage that they keep on forgetting the last several times they had my boat. This time they tell me the starter was bad and flywheel also needs to be changed before diag the other no start issue. They have to pull the engine out. They quoted about $300 out $200 for the flywheel $ 200 labor and $300 to put back in. No more than $1000 total. I said just pull it out and I will pay the $300 and consider new engine. After a few weeks they called and said they are now at $1000 just pulling out the drive because the shaft was very stuck to the engine. The mechanic said the drive is supposed to be pulled every year and greased. This is the first I have heard and I thought that using the grease gun with the fitting was good enough a few times a year. I dont see how this is my fault when they have my boat at least once a year and I always ask what else needs to be done to make things right. NOW WHEN I GO TO PICK UP MY BOAT SHE SAID I OWE OVER $1800 FOR THE LABOR JUST FOR FULLING THE DRIVE AND ENGINE. I really dont agree how even 1000 plus 300 comes to that. I have already picked up my boat previously and all they have is my old engine and I could have just walked out but I reluctantly paid them in full. I can see the numbers of hours on the bill adds up and I am not the kind of person who would risk short changing somebody on their labor. I was just very unhappy with the fact that they have no records of phone calls for my approvals, no written estimates, no signature of approvals. My opinions are as follows:1. They are decent people and the mechanics are overwoked but are very capable. At least with my Volvo Penta.2. When they are short handed things goes chaotic and the customer gets the short end of things. I would call before bringing my boat in and promised a certain day that they will get to looking at it. That day is usually weeks later and when I called to check the status I am accused of rushing. They dont take notes in their system to reflect dates and details of communications with customers.3. They dont have very much sympathy for the boat owners wallet. No matter how much I try to follow all there recommendations the next time there is an issue ...it is either my neglect or my boat and engine are in bad conditions. Even after I spent several 1000s replacing most everything but the engine block. I still have issues.AS A FINAL NOTE:I do pretty well for myself as a business man and always have several boats to use. I am pretty good with electronics and engine mechanics. I go to Seafarer because first I was looking for a Volvo authorized shop then I kept at it because I was loyal.I write all this only to tell my story so that the consumer can be the judge for themselves and if the owner is aware...maybe things will be better in the future. Good luck to all.

Be careful!!!You might be 20 miles out in the open seas and then figure out that this shop was lying to you and did a sham job on your boat. Insist that you want to see every repair visually yourself. Do not trust whatever they put on the bill. The bill you will see will be about 4 times the amount of labor they will spend on your boat. This boat shop has a hostile environment. The technicians are pissed off at the management. They were getting back at the management by doing the worst job possible on my boat. I asked the front desk 5 times what my balance was. Never got a clear answer until the front desk jacked up the bill to $2,000. She wanted me to pay the bill without even seeing the work. The boat was at the shop to have the trim tabs fixed. When I checked the boat the trim tabs were still not working. The technician in his 20s who repaired it came. I asked him what was wrong and what he fixed. He did not know what he fixed. I gave it to his disability with Alzheimers and did not elaborate on it any further. The total repair took forever to be finished. They charged 2 hours of labor to change the gear oil. I changed it myself before. I unscrew 2 screws. Let it drain 5 min. Then refill the oil in another 5 min. Generally less than 15 min. I guess they wanted to place a couple of screws to the customer and added extra 11/2 hour of labor to the bill. They knew that I was going to drive the boat 1400 miles. I emphasized them to prepare the trailer for a long drive. The brakes were not checked at all and not working totally not functional. The trailer had no spare tire although I talked on the phone and asked the lady at the front desk to check the pressure of the spare tire which she confirmed on the phone.Of course I was looking for a spare tire at 11 pm and driving a 30 foot boat into a Walmart parking lot. You might not have the luxury of pulling into a Walmart after 11 pm in the open seas.CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION!!!

The worst boat repair shop i have ever been to. I gave them 2 boats to repair and after $5000.00 in charges i still dont have a working boat from them!1 little out board that wouldnt get me away from the dock without stalling, (They said it was fixed and it wasnt) and the 27 Sea Ray ran when gave it to them, now after almost $5000.00 in work done to it, it broke down after 7 miles into the gulf the first time out and i had to get sea towed in! ( they said the part of the motor that got water into it was the part of the motor that they didnt touch.)They tore the motor down and repaired it! REALLY! I dont think so. And after 4 months i still dont have a working boat from them, so i had to spend more money now on a lawyer! Save money and your sanity and stay away from this place. my rating for Seafarer Marine= FAIL!!!

These guys are TOPS in the IRB area. The parts lady knows more then most guys doing this job and the mechanics are first time quality. If they dont have it they will tell you where to get it. PLUS theyre open on saturdays. Ive had at least five boats nearby these guys and im always getting solid advice from seafarer. As a master automobile technician and licensed aircraft mechanic i dont pretend to know everything but I like to do it myself no matter what. To be honest anyone with a set of tools can change a penta gimbal bearing or a yamaha water impeller with their help. They can sell you that tool you may need too!
