Absolutely amazing experience! They are honest and fair with tons of experience behind them in diving. It was an absolute pleasure to train with these guys, Ill be coming back here soon to advance my certification levels for sure... Who you train with is a big decision. You need someone with lots of experience that will keep you safe while youre under and learning, and with this shop, youve found just that. So, if you want to do it right, do it here.

Called Friday night right before they were closing asked about servicing a regulator and asked if they were open on Saturdays they said yes open at 11 showed up at the store 11:18 there’s a sign on the door if you need anything call Bob. I called Bob, who was clearly sleeping he asked what I needed I said what are your hours today he said 11 to 6 I said ok it’s 11:18 do you know when you’ll be opening he said he had things to do rudely and would be there within 30 minutes. I would have waited but it seemed like I was inconveniencing him and clearly didn’t need my business. Poor customer service

Great dive shop in Largo. The owner operator Bob has an obvious passion for SCUBA and has a wealth of knowledge. Everytime I go in there I learn something new about the sport. Highly recommended.

Nobody matches service the Bob at Sunshine Scuba provides. I dont buy buy much gear anywhere else now because he can meet the Internet prices and outperform them on service. When I bought a new transpac, he spent more than an hour helping me figure out how and where to stow/attach the gear I bring--then he dove with me to fine tune the weighting for different gear configurations. When one of my regulators was accidentally crushed, he lent me an equivalent one so Id still have a full backup set while I waited for the replacement to arrive. Ive lost count of the times hes gone out of his way to be available when visitors needed a no-notice gear rental or do a quick repair or offer a money-saving tip or otherwise go the extra mile to keep me diving and keep me diving safe. Once he even dropped off tanks at my house on his way home when my schedule got away from me. And he offers a veterans discount. Closest dive shop to Belleair Causeway.

We didn’t get the owners name but he was awesome!!! We snorkeled first the first time today and borrowed gear...we are hooked so we stopped by Sunshine scuba. He was so patient and kind...he Helped us get mask that fit our faces and didn’t try and up sale us and threw in a bottle of anti-fog! Thank you for being awesome! Rude, disrespectful.And refused to refund my fee after ALL the problems with there learning App. Which was confirmed by NASE that it was NASEs fault.Your not sorry and you told me to go f- myself.You told NASE your the owner which is false.Heather Sutter is. Your a blatant lier and also told me many false statements. One saying my insurance wouldnt cover a injury when diving.FALSE....most insurance companies cover you.Your a RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL & UNPROFESSIONAL horrible person.Dont trust this man !!!!

So helpful! I called and recieved excellent service, I was calling to ask how to adjust the intermediate pressure on my Poseidon Regulators.The long and arduous journey for information brought me here, this shop answered the question that no other shop could answer. They are very knowledgable on their products and he spent time out of his day to explain in detail how to make this adjustment on my particular model ( which is 22 years old.) He knew exactly what model I had and exactly how to do it, he told me that he has been a poseidon technician since 1988. Also he has a ton of cave diving experience and knowledge and shared some stories.

According to their voicemail they are a “24 hour dive shop” yet on Saturday at 11:30 they are closed. And their hours state they open at 11AM

Charged me $15 per tank for VIP. Air fills are extra. When questioned about the VIP only price, owner Bob said it’s what everyone else is charging. When I corrected him by telling him Bill Jackson’s only charges $6(which is less than half what he charges and for a fact), his facetious remark was “ please take them there”.... What a rip off. Not only is he over priced, but tried to tell me “everyone else” charges that. Nice try but even one of the most expensive dive shops in the county doesn’t even charge near that much....

My family and I stopped at sunshine scuba to talk about diving trips.We were pleasantly surprised with the warmth we were received and with the advice provided.The advise was so good and honest that my family and I are extremely thankful.Both shop owners (couple) are divers first than shop keepers! One of the best shops around town without a doubt! I called for a tank rental after hours to be diving the next morning and the owner came to the shop within 10 minutes to give me the set-up. 24 hour scuba service is definitely nice to have right by the water!

Recently rented a handful of tanks and a BC with a set of regulators, all of the equipment worked out perfectly, In fact the owner made a special trip outside of normal business hours for a last minute piece of equipment needed to do the dive that next morning. Top notch service, will definitely be using them again in the future!

I recently purchased a swim mask to help me in my training for the Air Force Pararescue. Bob is very professional, helpful, and a pleasure to do business with. Sunshine Scuba is the best place Ive found around here for equipment related to dive training for the military.

I just had one of the best experiences at Sunshine Scuba that i have ever had at a dive shop. I had been using another dive shop in the area for many years and had bad experiences the last several times which forced me to look for a new place. I found Sunshine Scuba on the internet and decided to get them a try. I had two regulators that had various issues and instead of dropping them off and having to wait a week or so for them, Bob the owner asked me what the issues were and took the regulators and me back to the shop, fixed them while i waited, explained what he did and gave me some hands on things i could do to keep them working properly. He didnt want to charge me but, i insisted on tipping him. In my opinion, He is there for the customer and not tying to sale you something that you dont need if he can fix it. Give this place a try, I think you will be very pleased ! Mike L.

Best customer service around!! Being new to diving, Heather and Bob helped me with everything I needed from a mask and fins to Open Water Diver/Nitrox certifications. The internet dive shops may have their advantages but nothing beats the advice from highly experienced divers before making a high dollar purchase, nothing like that ole fashioned hands on/personnel touch youll find here! Small shop, and its not the lowest prices around. These guys make up for it in stellar service. When I need help with something, he just takes care of it. When I bought a drysuit, he didnt ask me to pay for a drysuit class. He said, class is included - when do you want to go diving? He didnt even complain when I brought in stuff purchased at other stores to be serviced (some shops do complain). Theyve earned a loyal customer in me by providing great service. Give them a chance, and Ill be they win you over too!

Nasty attitude! DO NOT GO THERE! Called to ask if they would price match a particular item and the response was, in a scolding manner, our product is quality, go buy it elsewhere! And then she hung up the phone on me. Wow, Im still shocked! I cant say that has EVER happened to me before.

I had a bc and regulator repaired. Quick turnaround and great service. Will be back again.

Went by today to have the battery replaced on my dive computer. $50 was the price I was quoted! $24.95 for the battery alone. Needless to say, I decided NOT to have them do the work. Went home and discovered that I could get the battery kit on ebay or Amazon for $9.95. The battery alone is available at Walmart for under $4.I suggest you go elsewhere; this guy is way beyond the normal Dive Shop mark-up!
