I have been going to them for my pool motor repair for over 20 years. They use to be at 3240 S Arville #A, I am a very happy customer,. Their work is outstanding. I highly recommend them. The original owner sold the business to family member, eventually they sold it to another person. I have no problem with their work, Cost has risen from my last repair, but thats what I would expect. Just had a pool motor repaired, replacement works good. Maybe I will get another 20 years on this pump motor.

NO, I absolutely do not recommend this place. I requested for a free quote. They told me they cant fix it and told me to take it back. When I went there, the motor was completely disassembled and they told me to take it back. I asked them to assemble it back so I can take it, but they asked for a labor charge of $75. WHAT? I asked for a free quote, they cant fix it, and I have to pay them because they do not want to assemble it back, so I cannot take the motor back in original condition. Who knows if they steal the parts in my motor? And what? Yes, the motor is theirs if I dont pick it up in 30 days. What a joke. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

This company sold me a used motor that didnt even work. They said they tested it but when I got it home, it barely turned over. They would not give me a refund because they told me I bought it as is. This is a warning as to the integrity of their character. If you decide to do business with them, maintain the upper hand by testing everything before making payment.Response to owners reply: The owners reply was made months after my original review and obviously a canned response. First, this motor was not sold at a deep discount. It was fair market price for a used small motor. Second, ALL motors sold in his shop will be installed into something else. Its a motor shop, not a motor surrounded by the original parts shop. Ironically though, this particular purchase was a garage door opener, and it WAS sold with the original parts. It was the exact one I had at home and was a simple swap. Unfortunately, I trusted this local small business to to sell me something that worked and believed that they would stand behind their word if it didnt. Dont trust this shady business. If you make the same mistake I made by doing business with them, test everything BEFORE you buy and use a credit card so you have a arbiter if there is a dispute.

Had been a customer for 20 years, with good experiences from previous management. Apparently new management now that sold me an inferior (?) product that failed almost immediately and would not make any adjustment or accommodation for me. Was a fairly low cost capacitor. Obviously, not interested in retaining me as a customer.

I never use the word perfect but, these guys were outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

Buyer beware.... was quoted $360.00 to repair my pool motor. Took it to another shop and had the motor repaired in one day for $120.00. Only needed bearings replaced not the extra pieces Electric Motorworks wanted to replace. Motor works fine, pays to get more than one quote!

Stay away stay away, Ive never been spoken to more rudely than the supposed manager Mary. They were late to my appointment by several hours, called several times and was told both times they were on way. The last time I called to find out where they were I was told whats the big deal you took the day off from Mary. Glad I didnt and never will give my money to this company hopefully the owners actually do something about this.

Terrible Experience, Dropped off my Pool Pump for Bearing replacement Last week, I could not remove the impeller myself without a impact tool. They called me yesterday to tell me they couldnt remove the impeller without damage, right? So I went there today and spoke to the worker whos been trying to get the screw out with a screwdriver... I couldnt believe this.. He told me he couldnt try right now because he was working on something else! He could barely speak english, after driving all the way out there he wouldnt even take a minute to try again. I ended up leaving and was disgusted with there service. I ended up taking my motor to WESTERN ELECTRIC MOTORS, It took the Man there 1 minute to remove the screw !!!!!!! And my pump will be repaired by tomorrow!! Now that is Service !

If I could ever use other company, I definitely would. They have never call back when they suppose to. I am the one to call every single time ask what is going on, what is going on, is the technician ever going to show up ? After I spend over $1000 with this company. Horrible company. The receptionist are more than difficult to deal with.

I have a pool pump that was making terrifying electrical noises and was not starting anymore. Brought it in to Electric Motorworks because they were highly recommended by the pool supply place near me.The service tech quickly disassembled the motor in front of me and determined that it had at least one bad bearing and a capacitor could be dead. Since I had gotten the motor for free anyways and did not know the service performed before it was given to me, I decided to get it completely rebuilt.The motor was completed in 36 hours and the price/service were both pleasing. Both the run and start capacitors were replaced, the bearings replaced, the shaft resurfaced, the interior coils checked/cleaned, and the body repainted. They even included a new water slinger for the shaft (saved me $12 for a new one).The pump runs like it is new and I have the assurance that it will be fine with the included 1-year warrantee.
