I really want to love this place, options are great for being such a small, cozy, family-fun, authentic Japanese shop in the middle of this crazy desert. Im personally familiar with what makes Japan great - which is the over-the-top friendly customer service you encounter there. I dont know who theyre employing at this place but the ladies at the front counter need to learn basic customer service let alone Japanese customer service. The young girls there are fantastic, they are always friendly, helpful and lovely, makes you feel welcome for shopping there. Its the older ladies that work the register who give this place a bad name. Of all the times Ive shopped here, Ive never once heard a simple thank you from them on the way out. No smile, nothing. They just act like they want you the hell out of there, every time. Ive had better customer service at McDonalds than this place. They would be reprimanded if they actually worked at a shop in Japan. The owners need to be aware.

We went here to pick up a few Onigiris for a trip. I assumed they would be off the shelf, but they make it fresh based off your order. Which was a delightful surprise. The food was delicious and they made it like within 5 mins. You can also apparently call early to place the order and pick it up if youre in a hurry. I was planning on getting the spam musubi but it was gonna take the time. Next time Ill call ahead.Loved the supermarket, the service, food and people. Highly recommend.

I agree with the other patron who has pointed out there is no customer appreciation or hospitality with a few of the older ladies who work at the cash register. There is one older lady who always forgets to put all the groceries into my bag and when I pointed it out, she followed me to my car to see my receipt. When she did it again the next time, she finally admitted it was her error, but she was even colder to me ever after. I frequent the store often and buy a lot so I am relieved when there are other people working there besides her. Never got her name, but I do agree that there is no recognition, no smile, no words,, and they do not look at you when you check out with your groceries. I was also once reprimanded for not using a grocery cart when I was carrying everything I was going to purchase. Another time, I was asked to keep my child outside because there were too many people in the store (this is when it was 4 people in a store at once due to covid).

What a hidden gem! As you walk in its a small Japanese super market, pretty much just the essentials (ie. Alcohol and ramen lol). All kidding aside they have meats, vegetable, treats and authentic ingredients to make almost any meal! The best part of all is they have a quick service kitchen of all sorts of sushi and bento boxes. The food is very delicious, fresh, clean and healthy. The meals are very inexpensive, almost all under $10. Keep in mind they are very busy so call ahead and be patient because almost every thing is made fresh to order, I can smell the fish cooking! For all those who complain about the service, they are not there to hold your hand! Get what you want, pay and get out!

Limit 4 customers in at a time for groceries. If you order a bento box or bowl you need to wait outside for 20-30 minutes.Prices are a little on the higher side, but if its something you need that is hard to find then you might have to spend the money.I didnt try the bento boxes because its after 6pm.I bought 9 things that came to $32.

Great little Japanese market located in a strip mall next to EOS fitness. The store has a nice selection of Japanese food without being overwhelming. I sometimes pop by to pick up a musubi for lunch or some soft bread rolls. They carry the Mogu Mogu fruit drink that has jelly pieces in the bottle. Theres also a good variety of quick currys in a box that you can make at home. Get a punchcard and you will get a discount after you spend $100 here.

A one star is to high for this place. Ive always thought of the Japanese people being some of the nicest in the world, but this place...WOW!!! So we left and as I did another two customers walked and werent turned away. Big middle finger to this place...

I felt compelled to write my review after viewing the spew of negative comments against the store recently due to changes because of Covid. This market is located down the street from my home so I am a frequent shopper. I adore that this business is locally owned with a small, but good selection -- personally, Ive never been disappointed. Since the Covid outbreak, what many of the negative commenters have failed to mention is that this store is ridiculously small, so placing a limit on how many people can go in at a time is absolutely needed and just common sense -- they also have had a labeled sign outside their stores front entrance since the start of covid so guests know immediately. This area that the store is located is full of entitled white people that expect special treatment and when its not given they will butcher locally owned businesses with negative reviews. Dont knock this market until youve stopped by and took a look for yourself, its worth the wait.

Its a bit of a drive for me but well worth it. Quality food items & authentic Japanese products. What really brings me here is the kitchen!! The food they cook tastes amazing and is made to order! I got so meals for 2 and some sushi rolls & salmon balls for just a little over $20!! That was a great price for the amount, quality, and taste of the food. Its like a home cooked meal & doesnt have the rush/feel of a restaurant. Definitely give this place a try, the staff are very kind and respectful + you get a stamp card/ stamp on each visit to work your way up to a free meal. 💕💕💕

I like to support small local businesses. When I heard about Japan Creek Market from a friend. I had to stop by and get some bento boxes. When I walked in with my three small children, the employee ran up to me and she started to yell at me that I can’t bring more than one child or she can’t have other customers come in. I looked around, the store was empty except for the employees. She said I’ll make an exception this one time but then she wouldn’t stop about bringing more than one child into the store. We just walked out and left it’s not worth the harassment especially when your spending your money.

This small Japanese market brings me back to the awesome visits i had in Tokyo and Osaka.Japan Creek is the tiny in size with two main aisles but the shelves are stocked. Japanese snacks, candy, and canned drinks are the main reasons I visit Japan Creek. The vending machines in Japan offers some unique drinks that I enjoy and I was happy to find here. The black and green teas, oolong tea, milk teas, the coffee drinks, and the calpico beverages. The Premium Boss coffe is the best black coffee drink Ive ever had and Im glad I can stock up over here. The Japanese candy and Chips are attractively packaged and tasty. The Japanese snacks seem to taste cleaner and less processed than the U.S. snacks in my opinion.Additionally, theres fruits, vegetables, personal products, and a great noodle bowl section with an amazing selection of flavors. Its so easy for me to visit here and walk out with more products I didnt plan on buying. This is a nice little Japanese market to visit if youre familiar with Japanese food products or are curious and want to explore. Arigato!

Small little mini market hidden in the back of the plaza. They of course cant carry EVERYTHING, but they always have most of what I need. Ie: kimchi, bonito flakes, sashimi grade fish, dress produce like Daikon, stuff like that. The little punch cards are really cool and the staff is always nice. Ive came in with beat up punch cards on numerous occasions and they just switch me over to a new card. I never realized they had a little kitchen in the back with a few dishes they will prepare fresh. Unfortunately, they were told they had to temporarily stop their fresh meals due to covid. 😢 Hopefully they are allowed to start that up soon, Ive been wanting to try the food for a while. Because of the small square footage of their location, there is a limit to how many people can enter at a time, and that of course is not their fault. The people giving them one star reviews for the customer limit when it isnt even in their control are complete idiots.

Went to Japan Creek market because my fiance and I had decided to make our own sushi at home. It went very well. The store was well equipped with everything we needed to make it. The salmon we bought was very fresh and tasty. We also got pickled ginger and wasabi powder from this location and they were both quality items. The woman working the cash register was adorable and provided adequate service to us. Overall, a great experience. I would go back for other items next time. We were in a hurry so we quickly gathered our sushi necessities and rolled out. But their sushi made there was inexpensive and looked to be very popular.

I love little independents like Japan Creek. The Chinese community have plenty of options with 99 Ranch Market, 168 Market, and SF Supermarket and Koreans have Greenland - but the small Japanese community/demand dont justify a Mitsuwa or Marukai opening up shop here.So small stores like Japan Creek, Nakata Market, and Japan Mini Mart play an important role for the small Japanese community living in Vegas. Yes, you can pick up 95% of the items sold at these smaller stores at Greenland and others - most likely for less too - but I think its important to support them.Do I sound like a former small business owner who had a homemade ice cream shop in Vegas for over 15 years, haha? Please help support small business and visit Japan Creek Market!

Japan foods other wise is a great store, but a little expensive. We need a Uwajimaya store here in Vegas like San Diego, CA and Beverton, OR.
