The place to buy trees, plants, flowers, roses, happy dirt, fertilizers,. My yards are from Star Nursery. The smell of flowers give Star the exactfeel I have come to appreciate with every visit.

I love this location. They have a little bit of everything. I have bought gardening gloves, diatomaceous earth, hose pipe, plants, vegetables, herbs, flowers, seeds, pots, soil, mulch, and even potato chips at the checkout. They can be a little more expensive than Home Depot or Lowes, but their flowers, vegetables, and plants are a better quality. If you have a green thumb, they have the mark down flowers near the front for only .48 cents. I have literally made an assorted flower basket on the front with those and they look great. They do have great sales and everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The best part is you can bring your dog shopping. My Chihuahua loves to come and sniff everything ❤.

Better selection and prices than home depot or lowes by a mile. If you want sod go early it sells fast. Staff is always helpful, this is my favorite location.

Not a big variety of seeds, which is what I was shopping for. Their assortments of live plants and florals are pretty and ALIVE. The trees and landscape products are beautiful, ALIVE and priced REASONABLY. The customer service is excellent; They are very knowledgeable on their general products and have Specialists for rare, special and project specific products.

Very busy today but I was able to still get a great selection. I wanted the particular kind of flowers that were by the pond and the very nice employee guided me right to them. I am always pleased with this Star Nursery location when I go shopping there.

The prices are reasonable and the plants, bushes and trees are well stocked. All the gardening supplies are available for purchase. They have knowledgeable staff at the information booth providing answers to any gardening questions which help us out a lot since our gardener is not knowledgeable.

I love how big this store is! This is one of those stores that I can see myself having to make several visits just to walk through every area and see every thing they have for sale! LOL I was here once before looking for flat, round stones for painting but only went to the rocks area and didnt take the time to browse the rest of the store. My only complaint with this store is that there werent many staff around, and the ones I did find werent very helpful, or knowledge Im definitely going to be going back, several times!

I usually go to the location on Charleston which is awesome service all the time but they didn’t have the tree I wanted so I went to this location on Cheyenne. The two Hispanic ladies receiving the cactus order were just awfully rude. Even if you had the tree I wanted I wouldn’t have bought it because of the service they provided.

Good location, selection & decent prices (IMO). Staff is friendly & helpful. This isnt the location that I normally frequent; this just happened to be on my way home for a quick run for a gift for a friend (succulents).

Just stopped in for first time today to by one small item the check out line was extremely horrible and only two people checking people out no thanks I will take my business elsewhere. If you cannot staff enough people to check people out I seen a lot of staff standing around doing nothing up front the extremely short time I was there.

Wanted a dwarf MEYER LEMON. Was disappointed there were no larger sizes. The 5 gallon size plants were so small and only 3 had blossoms, so I picked out one of those and hope it grows well

Great place to find most of your gardening needs with a knowledgeable staff

Last weekend my husband and I purchased a $200.00 tree. It was the only multi trunk we saw and exactly what Ive been looking for. We told them we couldnt pick it up until this weekend. They gave us a tag to place on the tree with our name on it and saying sold, which we did. Came today to pick it up but the tree was gone. VERY disappointed in the way that was handled. I have purchased this way in the past from other large nurseries and never had a problem. the management is lacking in over seeing the staff and procedures. The manager apologized, which we appreciated, but well never purchase here again. This was a large tree and had hired two workers and rented a bobcat to plant it when we got home with it.

Always a great nursery to buy your plants with great prices. Manager/Owner Joey Lynn knows how to take care of customer problems. Other nurseries like Moon are way overpriced. Take advantage of Stars senior discounts on Thursdays.

The store manager Angela is fantastic. But the reason I am knocking off two stars was for how incredibly rude one of the young associates was to me. I went to this location from the Blue Diamond Star nursery as the new manager there said this star nursery had a large vase in stock. I travel across town to buy one of the there available only to find there are none I can see outside. When I asked the associate if she could look it up in the system (which she was refusing to do from the start giving me a story about how if I didnt see they dont have it) to make sure I have the right store, she picked up the intercom and yelled in my face manager please with a nasty attitude and stormed off. That is not how to treat people, there is no excuse to behave like that as an employee representing a company. Manager Angela found a store in a nearby city that had the vase, and said she would talk to this employee who wasnt wearing a name tag.

UPDATE: I am very displeased with my visit today. Its sad how still to this day this location remains lacking customer service. I am a regular customer and almost every single time no one is available to help or they are clueless on their product. How can you literally have 6+ employees standing around laughing when there are available closed registers and a line of customers? I am no longer returning to this location again.Only giving this place a 2 star rating because despite my experience today, they have a really good selection of indoor and outdoors plants at great prices. However, you need to train your staff to have better customer service and more knowledge about the products youre selling. I had asked THREE different workers (including the cashier) about 2 plants I was looking at. The only people who even had a clue about anything were in the front of store, and even then she did not answer my questions. You work here, shouldnt you know? Again, not trying to throw this place under the bus because you do have a decent selection, but if you want your customers to be happy then you need to actually do your job.

Star Nursery is awesome! The team working here is very friendly and super helpful, and the plants are much more reasonably priced compared to competitors. Its a great place for sod too, as some places stop selling it after 100°s, and very reasonably priced sod as well! My favorite nursery so far!

We have visited this location many times over the last 10 years. We have purchased several shrubs at this location. Our latest purchase was 10 bottle brush shrubs for our backyard relandscaping. The personnel at this location are very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the appropriate shrubs for various locations. Although this Cheyenne location is smaller than the Ann Road location in North Las Vegas, it has nice quality shrubs that are sometimes not available at the Ann Road location. We usually check both locations before purchasing large quantities of shrubs so we can select the nicest quality shrubs at the appropriate locations.

Information desk lady really knew her stuff.

I went yesterday and today, both times I was asked if I needed assistance by the same man, and, yes, both times I needed help. The man was able to answer my questions and point me to the correct merchandise very quickly. I doubt I was in the store for more than ten minutes both times. It was really nice because the inside of the store was quite chilly.

The help could have a little bit more patience.

On previous reviews: Star Nursery has huge signs prohibiting Day Workers from hanging out there. I can see where it might be difficult for them to enforce that, if the Day Workers stand out by the sidewalk. This would be considered public property, and the business has not business prohibiting people from standing there.By the way, just because the people standing there appear to be of Latino, or Mexican decent, does not mean they are illegal! Dont you think immigration would be smart enough to look for them there, if they were?Now to review Star Nursery. It is large. It has lots of great stuff. No waiting in line. I didnt really tax anyones knowledge, so I cant brag or condemn the quality of their knowledge. I will be happy to review more thoroughly when Ive been there a few times.Thanks for reading this. ;:~)

I was in Star Nursury today near Decatur, and purchased 6 pieces of flagstone. They asked me to put the stones on a giant scale to weigh the rocks then said it was 160 LBS. I told the guy at scale that it was not that heavy but he did not want to deal with it. At the cashier I told them there was no way it was 160 LBS. The cashier did not know what to do, so she called over a guy who was probably the assistant manager. He said the scale is calibrated every month and it was right. I told him no way, and that it has under 100LBS.He was not nice at all and went to the rocks and started picking them up and as he began estamating, he actually came up with numbers like mine. Then set the third rock down and said, no its right. I did not want to argue over eight dollars, so I just paid the $18/and left. Then when I got home, I Weighed the rocks by holding them on my scale at home. All six stones came to 88 LBS. So they overcharged me by about 90LBS and nine dollars.Trust me it was not the $9 that bothered me it was their attitude, like how dare I question them. They treated me like I was wasting their time. Well, I dont know if they charge double for every person but it is wrong, and when a customer tells them they think its wrong there should be more respect paid to the customer!I will never go back again. If you look at my reviews, I have never left a review like this but fair is fair, and people should know. Shame on them for treating customers so bad!

Horrible, horrible experience. Go to a different location. We originally went to the Blue Diamond location and had very friendly and helpful staff with a large order of rock, soil, bushes, a tree, and mulch. We had that delivered but we under estimated a bit on the rock and soil.So we came into this location since it was closer. The staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing, were rude, and not helpful. We ordered 2/3 ton of one color and 1/3 of another color of rock (both same names as we had ordered before). And then 3 yards of top soil. The total of that was only around $100....but they charged us $90 in delivery fees ($45 each) because they stated they didnt have a truck to deliver that all in one load. What kind of BS is that!? It is literally 1 ton of rock which is not much. Furthermore, the first delivery we had they used 4 trucks to deliver it all (9 tons of rock and 4.5 yards of soil), and we were only charged $45.Then to the delivery. They dropped off the first color rock and soil around 11am. Stated they would be right back with the other color.....4 and a half hours later, still nothing. I called them and they had forgotten to even deliver the other color. They stated they would send it over in about 30 minutes which they did. It was raining the day before, so they weighed it obviously wet which is ridiculous as well. Furthermore, we noticed even though we ordered the same rocks, they dont match in color!!!Who is running this location and operation. Weve never had a worst experience at any store, EVER! You should be ashamed of yourselves and we will NEVER be coming back to your location or company.

I have two Star Nursery locations that are approximately equidistant from where I live. This is the older location; the other newer Star option is located on Ann Road.This location clearly has a greater variety and number of plants in stock than the Ann Road location, which is where I usually end up going for all my irrigation system repair/maintenance needs.This Star location even beat my other frequently visited nursery option (Moon Nursery on Tule Springs Road) with regard to some regular red oleander that I have been looking to purchase.An abundance of these plants were readily available here in 5 gallon and 15 gallon sizes, while Moon Nursery has had only dwarf oleander in stock for more than 30 days.Spring is now almost over. Its high time to wake up and get your act together, Moon Nursery!

Great place to pick up day laborers! These guys arent all illegals, many of them worked for contractors doing landscaping and got sick of getting screwed. So what if they arent paying taxes and are a burden on our tax dollars...are you really going to care after they fix your irrigation system for $20? A licensed landscaper quotes you $200 to do the same job and he probably picked his employees up here as well. Might as well cut out the unnecessary middle man.

I have shopped here for years. Their choices and knowledge of plantings have allowed me to create my own oasis in this harsh desert. They have a great variety. Best overall prices. But, without exaggeration or hyperbole, they have THE WORSE RETURN POLICY of any store in Vegas Valley, or online. They have a way of making you feel you did something wrong and unless you purchase all of their supplement products for your plants they are hesitant of granting your refund. It is the most uncomfortable part of my long term relationship with Star Nursery.
