Class A technicians there and the customer service is Great - I bought me and my Grandson a bike and Steve made my 5 yr old Grandson feel so special he is still talking about it 2 months later - Steves customer service skills coupled with his expertise is phenomenal - Steve is definitely a technical expert in the field and when I come in unannounced to get air in my tire he treats me like a brand new customer EVERY TIME- I took a fall one time and told Steve about it - he put my bike on a rack and CHECKED EVERYTHING (without asking) to ensure the bike was at 100% - that place is awesome and the epitome of what every customer service based business should be

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. A couple of years ago, I took up cycling after a 50-year hiatus; in short, I knew squat. I asked a zillion questions which the staff answered patiently; in fact, I had a big-box store fat bike with disk brakes, and one of the men showed me how to adjust them.I knew that I needed to put more into the relationship, so I said I would buy myself a new bike soon, and it would come from their store. As soon as I was able, I bought that new bike—a lovely blue 2018 Roam 3 Hybrid by Giant—that the staff helped me select based on my riding interests. They helped me set up the bike for an initial fit, and I tweaked it after riding a bit. Ninety days or so later, the staff gave my bike a free tune-up—a service they provide with all their new-bike sales. Now, a shout-out to the bubba (Josh, was it) who said we should not judge books by their covers—after doing just that. When you assume old fat guys don’t ride, you just might be the ass. This old fat guy rides, and crushes hills all day long. Peace.

Laurel Bike shop is a great little place! The sales staff here is very knowledgeable and they carry a solid variety of smaller brands. Theyre not pushy when it comes to selling, though Ive noticed that the prices are a bit high for many things. Still, Id recommend this place and other stores like the bike stores in College Park down Route 1 over big-box places like Performance Bicycle.

Excellent service, the folks are a bit timid but that goes away. Originally thought my bike was a bit too expensive as well but I looked up the giant brand and their price and it matched so... Great quality brand and Im glad I bought my bike now because only God knows what this tariff war is going to lead to. I lived in this city for a very long time and this shop has been around since... A long time, thats for sure. This isnt a fake post and no, Im not getting paid for it or whatever else excuse for the 5 stars.

WARNING!!! I implore no one to purchase from this bike store. The owner’s priority is to sell his inventory not provide the appropriate bike and accessories. New and inexperienced to cycling he sold me a Giant contend (L) when i truly needed a (XL) bike (I’m 6’3) and accessories with no prior measurements, tutorial in setup or beginners basics. He never gives you the option of ordering only what’s available in his store. I only realize my bike and equipment was incorrect till i started riding and experiencing pain. Lots of money lost and lesson learned.

This shop is full of fat old guys who dont even ride. They price gouge and are generally rude if they think they arent going to get any money out of you or just dont like the way you look. Its probably best in the future to not judge a book by its cover.

I went there more then a month ago to buy variety of bike things. The older guy there was nice to begin with but got rude when i asked questions. Still bought few things as i dont want the old man to get mad. The prices were inflated about double the Walmart, for example. Will not shop again.

I always attempt to support small business in my community so I was pleased to use Laurel Bike center for my needs. I was please with my first two visits and was planning to make a major purchase(new bike), until I had to have a small adjustment on a part I had installed there a few weeks prior. I was charged full price to tighten a shifter cable. I do like the technician there, unfortunately the other guy is not customer friendly, at all. Dont small business know customer service is the only reason I would do repeat business? I know I could obtain everything in their store cheaper elsewhere. I enjoy getting to know the workers/owners and giving them my business. I will drive further to the College Park store from now on or purchase online. Okay, in the spirit of goodwill toward all men and more importantly, compromise, I am happily amending my initial concerns regarding Laurel Bicycle. It seems as in most relationships communication always is the key. You are right, I could have explained my position further but I do not like conflict and I was pressed for time. I believe you could have handled the situation differently as well, in my humble opinion. The bottom line for me was your demeanor. Im sorry, I dont like to tell people how to interact, but a smile and pleasant interaction go a long way in my world. I wasnt going to argue over $15 which I do not want returned. The shifter is working wonderfully and I am happy. Time heals most wounds.
