Really cool store for stationery/art supplies/tshirts/notebooks, etc. in downtown Lawrence. My wife and I love this place!

This is one of those stores that you walk in and immediately feel comfortable. All of the paper and pens and stickers you could ever want. One of the employees spent over 20 minutes helping me pick out my first fountain pen!

Excellent little shop for stationery and art supplies! They carry a variety of goods including but not limited to notebooks, sketchbooks, fountain pens, inks, stickers, local art prints, books, shirts, zines, and art supplies. Their staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, too. (Dave is an marvelous staff member, due to the fact that he is a cat.) Lastly, while their prices are usually slightly more expensive than online retailers, its not a huge markup, and its certainly worth it to simply support such an exquisite little store. The markup is usually less than what one would pay for shipping, and theres still plenty of products that are actually less than their online counterparts. Seriously, I cant recommend this place enough.

Cute, supports local artists, has a cat, and is perfect for buying presents or a treat for yourself. What more can you ask for?

Undisputed stationary/paper/gift store champion for a radius of at least 500 miles. Nikita (hopefully I spelled that correctly) and Meredith were Stationary Superstars. Not kidding. I thought I was alone in my love for good paper products and journals, but lo, I have found my people. Over the top service, knowledge, and inventory with very reasonable prices. Beautiful, quirky art and art supplies store in Lawrence. Not only does it have an amazing range of art supplies like printing ink and specialty pencils, it also has great books, pins, cards, patches, stickers, journals, prints, and other products by individual artists and other small-time artisans/companies. Ive found some unexpected treasures there, including a mechanical pencil that slightly rotates the lead inside it so that you never have to write with the flatter side of the lead as its worn down. So, yes, please visit this delightful store because I love it and make a point to visit it every time Im in Lawrence. Bonus: there is a store cat named Dave. All hail Dave.

I live three hours away, but I take a side trip to Lawrence whenever I’m in the KC area, all for Wonder Fair. Between a stock of specialized journaling supplies almost unheard-of for Midwest retailers, a compact but well curated selection of art materials, the knowledgeable staff, and the continued occupancy limits and mask requirements in the store, they have earned a place as my priority stop.It’s my daughter’s favorite shop as well now. On our recent visit, Meredith checked a publisher’s website to see whether a conversation-starting card deck was appropriate for my daughter’s age range. She took the time to organize my purchase at checkout. Everyone at Wonder Fair puts so much care into what they do. Thanks for a wonderful shopping experience!

Went with my daughter here because she likes stickers and stuff. This place was cooler than I thought because they have a little something for everyone and I love how their cards and everything is made by local artists or smaller businesses. Its clean, friendly, and a fun artistic environment a lot of cool stuff to choose from to cards and pens, to stickers and books. Oh, and tarot cards.

Great store for a variety of stationary, art and notebook supplies, and some other smaller trinkets. Can be expensive, especially if youre getting a lot of stuff but its all high quality! Even if you dont buy anything, its a great place to stop and look around if youre walking downtown.

I went in recently to buy my first fountain pen. Several employees went out of there way to patiently answer all of my questions and let me try out lots of pens. I ended up with a pen that was very affordable and just right for me. I love this store and its always a must stop destination anytime Im in Lawrence close to Mass Street.

Shopping at Wonder Fair is such a treat every time! The stock is carefully curated and so fun. Fair warning, it is nearly impossible to window shop here- you will always want to walk out with something! 5 stars for sure, cant wait to visit their haunted bathroom again someday!

Unique stationary, art supplies, books and gifts. Atmosphere is a progressives delight (which is also unique in Kansas). This is a must-stop for my young adult kids whenever we head into Lawrence.

I love it! This is a great store for pens pencils and lots of art supplies. I got a $20 gift card for Christmas and Im going to spend it ASAP. I totally suggest this store if you need any sort of art supplies or anything of that sort.

Artists dream store, a beautiful location and a friendly, helpful staff especially Dave the cat.Due to Covid the haunted bathroom was closed.Their selection was impressive and I found things new to me and hard to find elsewhere, also their in house stickers and merch was fantastic.

Its a fun little artistic shop. Majority of products are from Japan. Has all types of bells and whistles for artists. Employees are friendly and are willing to help with anything.

I was in this store today and they come off as dismissive. I indicated I needed assistance with the fountain pens and hung around the case where they were and was completely ignored. I will not visit this establishment in future as they obviously don’t want or need to sell to me. I know covid is a challenge but I evidently didn’t lather up quick enough when I came in the door so they made sure to incur their displeasure with my slowness. It’s not as if I touched anything before I lathered up either.

As far as stationery shops go, this is truthfully one of the best in the KC/Lawrence/Topeka metro areas. Very well stocked with high quality items.Plus, they have Dave the shop cat, and a haunted bathroom. What more could you want?

They will racially profile you, and act like they are adjusting the erasers and follow you all around the store. Not good for people with cat allergies, as they let a cat sit on the counter while your trying to pay.

One of my favorite stores in all of Lawrence. Excellent card and paper good selection as well as funky and amazing finds. Ive found some truly beautiful prints and art pieces here too. Bring your money! Youre going to want to spend it all.

With knowledgeable staff, great selection, and decent prices, Wonder Fair is awesome for plenty of creative hobbies. The only downside is parking, but thats true for all of Mass Street.

I must visit the shop every time were in Lawrence. The staff is super friendly and funny, and theres always new stuff to peruse. Love this place. Very great selection of art supplies, fountain pens, and stationary. Great prices for a local shop too, most items are same prices as you can find online, some a bit more expensive and in rare cases even cheaper. Really enjoyed the workshop I attended here as well, hope to attend another in the future.

A little gem of a stationery store. Anything you need or can imagine in the world of stationery is probably here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all things stationery. Well worth driving to get to and visit.

This place is SO LEGIT. Meredith is a stellar service provider with staggering product knowledge. Their writing pencil offerings are TOP SHELF! I was wildly impressed with the range of very fine manual sharpeners (German and Japaneee steel!!) and ink pens. I asked for a specific item which they did not have and they gladly ordered it. It arrived promptly and I purchased extra items when I went to collect it. This place gives the kind of focused, friendly, and passionately informed customer service that is of a bygone era. Thank you for your very hard work and meticulous attention to detail.

Such a cute layout, unique items and a fun atmosphere. Also wow the zine selection here blew my mind. Cute art gallery in the back is the cherry on top of this local store.

Part gallery, part store Wonder Fair is exactly what its name suggests. Come to stock up on supplies, stay to read the zines, and come back for the rotation of arts and crafts in the back. Also, looking for a gift for someone hard to buy for? They regularly put together sets and kits of stuff that anyone who knows how to write, or is learning to, will love.

This is a good place to wonder into and spend 15 or 20 minutes looking around. Its a quirky store with t-shirts, cards, little hand drawn art books and similar stuff. They also have a wide variety of art supplies that seem slightly expensive to me, but I dont know a lot about good quality supplies. They also feature art from local artists which is always interesting.

This place is absolutely incredible! You can get amazing local art and zines. You can get awesome art supplies of all kinds. You can also just soak up the warm and bright atmosphere of the place : )
