I use Select One Security for my home as well as 3 of my company’s office locations. Select One Security handles all of our security needs from burglary alarm, fire alarm, access control and security cameras. I can’t say enough good things about the level of professional service I have received from Select One Security. Their knowledge and service are top-notch. I would like to add that the review from Karen is likely written by a competitor, as I have never experienced anything but positive and professional service from SOS. I invite any potential customers to come look at my system in order to provide them 100% confidence that the team at Select One can exceed their expectations.

Getting flipped off in a public restaurant by Ryan Kruse was my final straw. Ryan also likes to make up disrespectful nicknames for his customers. Ryan either sold us equipment that was faulty or he doesnt know how to operate and fine tune his own hardware. After promised service calls that never happened I can only assume he doesnt know how to fire a customer he doesnt want, so he disrespects them until they go away on their own. I recommend steering clear of Ryan Kruse and Select One Security. Its too bad. We had used Select One Security without any complaints for over ten years for our home security systems. After recently having another local provider come in and show us respect and get all of the features and functionality working that we expected with Ryans company it compelled me to write a review I didnt really want to.

Select One Security installed our security system, thermostat, and doorbell and I couldnt be happier. Moving into a new home already has a set of its own experiences and knowing that if I heard a creak or noise I felt safe knowing that it wasnt an intruder. I love the ease of being able to change the temperature in my house, arm or disable my security system or see who is at my front door from the convenience of one app. SOS was efficient, clean and courteous. They explain everything you need to know about your system before they leave so you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Select One Security is top notch and Ryan is an absolute magician with security systems. Over the years I have found his ability and knowledge to be un-excelled, and he has always been straight forward and honest with me. (By the way, I have no skin in the game since I am no longer a security service subscriber, having moved into an apartment).

In the matter of divorce, Select One Security did not act ethically in their business practices. You never know what might happen; ensure you understand their code of conduct and policies.

When we moved into Lawrence, Ryan at Select One helped kit out our new home with security and electronics. He never pushed, but always offered us options, which we have gradually taken him up on and been incredibly pleased. If theres a problem, hes there. Exceptional service, every time. I came to Select One after using two other security companies (one ADT) and the customer service with these guys is off the charts. I needed a custom install and they bent backwards to give me what I wanted. Their prices are reasonable and they are locally owned too. I highly recommend them!

This guy stopped at a stop sign, and proceeded to pull out in front of me, forcing me to swerve and lock up my brakes. He immediately did the same thing in front of another vehicle. BEWARE! His eyes are on his phone and not the road. Very dangerous.Gladly would call, there was no obtaining a vehicle number in that situation.

Ryan did a great job. We were leaving on vacation and wanted a security system right away before we left. Ryan had it installed and up and running the very next day. I would highly recommend his services.

Was driving down an alley picking friends up from work and this companys truck was parked, and idling. We waited, and went into the business it was parked behind. The owner began immediately being aggressive and yelling at us. He came out in the alley and tried to start a fight. He reeked ofalcohol and refused to move his truck. Extremely unprofessional to act like that with his business truck so visible. He wouldnt back down, and eventually I made my friends get back in the car so a full blown Fight didnt break out (he was at this point coming at my friend and towards my car, and had another drunk beefy friend with him). We backed out of the alley (illegally, as it was a one way). Eventually we saw him leave. Drunk driving. I wouldnt trust this company based on how they act after hours and dont even try to protect their business identity.

We had ADT for years but decided to upgrade our system and add cameras etc. we were impressed w Ryans quality of work and how fast he got everything installed. We love the fact we can control everything from our phone! We have called him a couple of times as i didnt know how to re-program something and he quickly came over and took care of everything. As a business, we have used Select One Security for many years. Great customer service skills and their work performance exceeds expectation.

We were awarded a project in KC with a large customer. On two separate occasions met with Ryan and another one of his employees to go over the project to make sure we were all on the same page. Numerous telephone calls, texts and emails later we scheduled an installation date to begin installation of the system. We spent several thousand dollars on flying staff members to the site to supervise installation, several thousand more dollars on equipment rental to bring the necessary equipment to the project so Ryan and his crew would have all of the tools necessary to complete the project timely.. There was just one small problem, Ryan and his crew did not show, return telephone calls, texts, emails etc. I absolutely hate leaving a review this negative on a fellow professional but Ryan showed he is not professional. I understand delays, hold ups etc, but in this age of communication there are no excuses. Ryan showed me that his word is no good. The only reason why he recieved a one star was that zero stars was not an option. Stay away from this company!!!!!!
