They had a selection of lumber that home depot just couldnt match. Lots of stuff over 12 foot. Its like home depot cant be bothered to carry 1x8 over 12 foot. Menards has a HUGE selection.

I was working on a flip house and ordered cabinets through Menards. The supplier botched the order 3 times in a row. Horrible experience with the supplier but Menard’s management stepped up to the plate and searched the entire country for a cabinet that was in stock so I wouldn’t have to wait 3 weeks for the 3rd time and put off listing the house. They located a cabinet (not an in stock cabinet rather a special order) in another state and had it overnighted. That’s next level customer service. Trust them with your business…

I need to quit coming in, I always find myself buying more than I came in for! Handy stop for some candy and groceries while youre picking up something for the house.

Solid place to shop for home improvement. It also worked here in the paint department for about 1 year while in college and that was great as well. After spending so much time here I can honestly say they have really great and competitive prices. They might not have the top name brands like Milwaukee, Dewalt, etc. but their customer service and what they have to offer as a company sets them apart. They even have a small grocery section with tons of unique snacks. Great place for a one-stop shop!

They had the replacement mailbox lock I was looking for, and at a good price.They also had the landscape block adhesive in stock at a lower price than our local hardware store. Summer hats were a good price, so I picked up a couple that I liked. Every staff member asked if we needed help finding anything or help with something.

We bought some pavers to have our new storage shed.

Today was the  second time Ive been shopping for LED lights for my big house in about two weeks. Both times the associate who helped me was Chantell. I needed different types of light from the kitchen to the basement, the garage and so on.  I was very impressed with her help. Chantell is  a professional. She is very knowledgeable about the different lights and was patiently helping me to buy what I needed. Thank you Menards for training your associates well and the great customer service and selection of the lights. Tomorrow I will return again, as I still need a couple of more LED lights. Great store and competitive prices.

Cleanest yard I’ve seen at any of the menards. Everyone greeted us and walked us to the product. I would recommend this menards over that dirty menards at the legends at Kansas City west. Funny because that store is newer!

I love Menards! A great place for anything you need in home/hardware, garden, and even some food and groceries! Im especially a fan of their lighting section. :) The staff at the Lawrence KS location have consistently been friendly and helpful.

My contractor wanted me to shop here for my bathroom remodel. The employees are helpful, for the most part, but honestly some of them did look at me like I have two heads. I have continued wearing a mask bc I am higher risk for respiratory infections and other illnesses. Most people (customers and employees alike) now are choosing not to wear masks and are basically pretending we aren’t in a pandemic any longer. Even though I had the shots, this last year was the first time in a long while that I didn’t even catch a cold. I know distancing and masking make a difference for me. My money is still green as anyone else’s, mask or no.When I have a choice where to shop for a project, it isn’t at either of the big-box home improvement stores. I know that is a privilege of having time to plan and order for smaller projects. But this store has what I need to get things done on my contractor’s tight timeline, and this is definitely NOT small household improvements that that I could do. We are spoiled for choice in this town.

This is a great place to shop for lumber and materials dont expect the top quality of lumber and materials besides that its a really neat store with a lot of helpful people denying the fact that you have to walk so far to get in and out of the building.... 4 out of 5 stars is pretty good. I prefer a higher quality of tool than they have to offer there as far as power tools go and battery operated but I do like how they have every lumber option available on the ready congratulations Menards.

I really like menards. With the exception of only having two handicap buggies to ride. With bad knees, there is no way I can walk and get the things I want and need. You lost a sale today. This isnt the first time Ive gone in and neither one of the buggies were working. Im now going to your next door competitor because they have 6-8 buggies. You really need more than two buggies

The Menards in Lawrence, Kansas is hateful and rude. They don’t care if they embarrass people in front of the whole store. I am medically exempt from the mask and they were super nasty to me, when they could’ve just explain to me nicely. I will never shop there again!

Menards is a go to for most of our household needs. Laundry detergent? Got it. Shower tension rod? Got it. Hardware for projects? Got it. Storage. Bulk candy. Lawn furniture. Toys. Freezers.Tools. Decor for both inside and out. Clothing.Lighting.We always check prices at other places to compare; a good amount of the time they are priced competively. In store pickup is a plus even if it is way back in the store. Its a good place to shop.

We bought rose plants,mulch and potting soil, water hose and hanger for the hose to start working on our front yard and side yard. They had everything we needed.

They have everything but nothing at the same time. 5 out of the 6 things I went there looking for, they did not carry. Granted the items were a bit more specialized. If youre looking for common items and items not too far off that base, theyll probably have it and in a good selection. If youre attentive and willing to wander a bit, you can find good deals. Better yet, watch the item for a couple of weeks or months and youll probably find an even better deal when it goes on sale or clearance. Clearance and dinged items are there to be found. Just have to look and have patience. Otherwise, the everyday prices are pretty good. Dont forget the mail in rebates, theyre probably banking on customers not turning them. Who wants to wait on something that may or may not come back because a comma was left off a form somewhere...

U would think with covid going on that they would fix the blow dryers in your restroom or at least put paper towels in the bathroom. I have brought it to there attention twice they don’t seem to concerned. But u can’t shop without a mask on wonder how many people don’t wash there hands because u can’t dry them.

I went in for a 5 gal bucket lid. 50 bucks + in stock. No lids. You have got to be kidding right. Really No lids.

I love this store the employees are helpful and know what they are talking about. At the Lawence Store every time I go there I do not have hunt anyone down there seems to be some around to help or direct. I needed a tool for my dermal the gentleman was very helpful in giving suggestions on my project to make it easier .I thought maybe it was just the Lawence store. Not the case I found the Menards in West Kansas City, Ks was just as helpful. I placed a call to the paint department the phone rang only a few times when it was answered. I ask the gentleman for supplies I had been looking for he gave me answer right away. He was also able to give me info on other supplies I asked for. I was able to going the store get exactly what I wanted and leave no wondering around looking.I hope things do not change. Other large hardware stores I find it every hard to find help when I need it.

Ive been going here for two months cause my boss makes me. The people here have a I dont care attitude.....like they are just better than you and dont care if they help you or not.Loading full bunks of plywood or 2x4s to get a forklift to come help you is next to impossible. You might as well get your third set of teeth quicker. It never fails Im always at this store too long waiting or trying to find someone to help me.

Two internet orders over a month apart and twice now they have sent the wrong items. Clearly their employees are not reading or scanning barcodes. The email return systems is very slow and dont forget you have to email photo evidence. I like shopping at Menards stores, but online is needs some attention. Both my incorrect orders were processed by the Lawrence location.

Nice place to get hardware, tools, birdseed, appliances, and holiday decorations. They also have Shasta, and thats pretty cool.

Menards has a slightly different selection of tool than Home Depot. I prefer there house brand of tools over HD based on price along, which compare more to Harbor Freight with better quality.

A great place if you want a cheaper alternative to home depot and more items

I went into the Menards store about the middle of April. I am a disabled person and I always use the exit doors to go in because that is the end of the store where everything I buy is at. I understand that everyone is concerned about the Covid-19 stuff right now. But for Petes Sake. I am, disabled. I was met at the door by an Employee, her name was Alexi, and told I would have to go back out the door and go to the other end and enter the store. Mind you there is no signage letting you know that is the case. She was very rude and seemed to get a strange sense of joy because she was able to BULLY a disabled person. Yes I am angry. When I got what I needed and was at the register one of the Assistant Managers came up to me and ask what the problem had been, when I told him of my experience he tried every way to explain it away. When I got to the register, Alexi and one of her Co-Workers were standing at the counter close to the registers and discussing what had happened and every time that Alexi said something to he Co-Worker they would both turn and look at me and laugh. This was not a very funny situation and I am very unhappy about what happened and I am never shopping there again.

Not sure what Samuel’s problem is, but after “discovering” this retailer I’ll probably never shop at their overpriced neighbor again. I am grateful they take COVID-19 precautions seriously—I see all employees masked and many customers too. This does not appear to be the case at the neighboring retailer. Their recent extended run of 11% sales has helped my family settle in to our new home affordably, too. Love this place.

I went to Menards to purchase something wasnt allowed to enter without a mask so I went back to my van and got one its a n95 which is what the CDC recommends but you allow any form of mask in the store. So therefore what youre doing does no work at all and I believe the reason that youre doing this is because you over purchased on masks and now you have to sell them.........over the last couple of years I have spent large amounts of money at this store I will no longer bring customers or my money in....
