I ordered last minute Valentine’s Day cookies from them early in the day. They texted me very quickly to let me know there would be a delay and to provide a window for when they could deliver. Once my delivery time passed I contacted them and they were very friendly and honest about the delay. The poor delivery driver got caught in the snow and they immediately called me to let me know it would be to my house as soon as they can. Great customer service and great cookies!

Not my type of cookies (Im all about the crispy, yo), but much beloved by my son. Their icr cream sammich with cookies was summarily inhaled due to its deliciousness.

I wanted to send a gift to an out of town friend, and the staff at Hotbox went above and beyond to time the order perfectly so that they were hot and fresh when my friend received them!

Delicious cookie and wonderful service! I was visiting from out of town, and I was craving something sweet. A colleague mentioned that Hot Box offered a “gluten friendly“ cookie, and since I have to eat gluten free, so I inquired. I was told that the pans were used for both gluten-free and gluten-containing cookies, they were kind enough to bake my cookies to-order separately on a new piece of parchment. The guys working there were super friendly & generous, and the cookie hit the spot! ❤️🍪😃

I want to start by saying I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOT BOX COOKIES. Everything you make is wonderful. I am hoping that this review can be helpful in two ways. 1.) Being a 1 Star it BETTER get read by management and my attempts to give feedback at the stores has proven to be futile. 2.) People should know that you have a GREAT PRODUCT, but to NEVER expect to find your BEST FLAVOR! THAT SAID, the whole “it’s hard to get the ingredients for Red Velvet cookies” story is awful! I’ve been trying to get some for a year! I had them once and now every time I call or visit the Lawrence, KS store you are out! At this point it’s either you, change the ingredient supplier/recipe slightly OR take them off your menu, because you don’t make them anymore! Your cookies are great, but this is truly a very poor experience with the Red Velvet flavor. There has to be a solution. Insanity. They’re cookies!

Its always good. Cookies are always Hot. The bathrooms are in The Oread and they are swanky!!! It is always clean and counter staff is always friendly.

We ordered cookies to be delivered on line and included a tip. So hot box decided to add $10 to our card.....they say for add ones and or tip. Then they said if it is not used the will refund the money. Well 3 weeks gone by and no refund. I suggest NO ONE purchase their products again.

The cookies are delicious, but I feel they are way overpriced. Its around $16+ tax for a dozen cookies, which is why I took off 2 stars! However, if you have the money, go order yourself some because they are delicious, warm, and gooey!

I ordered 18 cookies and I am so happy! The cookies were wonderful!!! They were neatly lined up in the different flavors to easily see. They also delivered on time and called me when they were here. It was a great experience. Definitely coming back! :)

The took an extra $10 for potential additional expenses for delivery. That would be fine if they gave it back. Its been over a week, and they are still holding my money! Ive asked about it twice and have gotten no response. I wont be ordering from here again!UPDATE: Still no refund a month later. They called me once (while I was at work) and responded with an email telling me its my cards fault. I used venmo, and Ive never had any issue with them putting refunds on my account. But regardless, a response to my original complaints with a friendly apology and a coupon would have solved this problem.

The cookies are fresh out of the oven hot, the chocolate is pretty much melting, they could fall apart in your hands easily, the texture is somewhere between cookie and dough. Amazing! Wish they had coffee and some more seating though. Definitely worth the drive

They are amazing! My husband and I order way too often than Id be willing to admit. They are always warm and so delicious! Delivery doesnt take too long, and the convenience of warm cookies is almost too good to be true.

The cookies here are incredibly good. Cooked to perfection, not hard and over cooked or too soft either. The flavors are absolutely out of this world!I do consider the price a little bit too high but definitely worth it from time to time!

Bought cookies online for my daughter for Valentine’s Day. I ordered early to receive $3 off delivery charge. Ended up being charged the delivery charge as well as another charge for tip. Notified of extra charges and was offered 6 free cookies with next purchase with no code to redeem. Resent email to manager more than once with no response.

We just had our first visit and cookies a couple days ago! Delicious. Went by there again to get a birthday cookie for my husband. There was a misunderstanding in our order and their customer service was wonderful! Will be going back and highly recommend.

I ordered monster cookie with Madagascar vanilla ice cream. Believe me it that was delicious! The ice cream is so real! Like my mom makes at my home, made of real and whole milk!

My boyfriend and I really enjoy the cookies as they are incredibly delicious. However, I called and spoke to a lady right before typing this review and was looking forward to giving them 5 stars but she was very unprofessional and rude. I was really disappointed as everyone I have spoken with in the past was happy and ready to take my order! Customer service is everything!

4 stars because these are probably the best cookies Ive ever had, but man they are wildly overpriced. It doesnt seem too bad to walk in and buy 1 cookie for $1.35, but if you want a dozen for a party or something, you save a grand total of $0.20 over buying them 1 at a time. $16.00 for a dozen cookies is pretty insane, which is why I never go. Im not in the area so just walking in to buy one cookie would never happen. Not to mention their location is terrible for parking unless you live nearby. It only really makes sense to order delivery from them and as I said before, their prices make that unreasonable as well.

My daughter ordered a gift, she was told on several occasions 3 different times of delivery. She always had to call them to see what was going on, to me that is a no call no show for you all. If you order just make sure you get your order because they wont follow through. I called and asked for a refund by tonight. Thats bad if a company doesnt refund you and you have to ask for it. Sloppy work from you guys!

Cookies are amazing.My complaint is i ordered online and when i received my cookies they were completely wrong.I had to wait an hour n a half for them and now i have to wait another hour for my re order.. .

Called to place an order. Person who took it did not take my order right. I ordered the 420 deal with a pint of ice cream before telling me the total he runs my card tells me its 23.00 and some change. 6 cookies and ice cream i canceled the order wanted to get it fix but they said they would call back to let me know when it was voided and retake my order. I had to call back was given short responses and was not asked if id like to reorder. Was hung up on now i have to wait 5 to 7 business days to get 23 bucks back on top of no cookies!

I absolutely love hotbox cookies! I work at a law office down town and we order from there all the time, everyone loves them. Also tonight Hot Box brought by a bunch of cookies for the first ever Kansas Jayhawks Try on Rugby event which was so nice of them! Everyone devoured them, and all the ruggers know what hotbox is now! Well all definitely be in to order cookies soon!

Yikes. I live out of town and ordered something for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. I ordered online five days in advance and then got a confirmation email with my order that stated free first delivery, however I was charged for it. I called the next day and that was fixed, however my card was charged twice for two different amounts. Then randomly one morning at 1:45 AM I got an email saying my cookies were prepping to be sent out, 3 days early. I called around 7 AM and was told someone would call me back later that day to sort it all out, though I never received a call. I called today and was on hold for so long, I had to send a Facebook message asking for someone to call me since I couldnt waste so much time at work on hold. I got a call shortly after and was basically told it didnt matter when I wanted them to be delivered because they have to call the recipient and schedule a time with them. That was a bit of a bummer, as I really wanted this to be a surprise. There is also a 3 hour delivery window, so they cant guarantee a certain time. Thats especially challenging ordering for a college student, as his schedule is pretty set in stone and all over the place. Im sure the cookies will taste great, but overall this has really been a headache. After all of this, I spoke with the GM and he was very nice and told me everything would be set. I had changed the delivery time with someone else due to the 3 hour window. They were supposed to be delivered at 9 pm and the woman assured me she would call my boyfriend to set up a time that works for him. All day, he didnt receive a call. I decided to call them around 10:00 last night and after being on hold for 5 minutes, I was hung up on. Then when someone answered, they hung up on me. After lots of back and forth, I was told I had two orders; one that was delivered, and one that was cancelled. Neither of which were true. I got upset and someone assured me they would be delivered last night, which they were around midnight, but without the balloon and everything I ordered. Absolutely horrendous! I regret ordering anything from Hot Box Cookies and will advise everyone to stay away. I didnt get what I paid for. Save yourself the trouble.

Sounds like a lot of people have had difficulties with delivery and failure to uphold coupons. Our experience is no different. Cookies are good but it wont survive with the poor reputation it is getting.

I have been a fan of Hot Box Cookies for years; especially when they were located on Mass Street. So much so, that I have accepted the wait time for a delivery, being an hour long. Today not only was my order late, it was also delivered by a very frustrated and angry Hot Box Cookie worker who understandably asked where he was supposed to park. Its a common question and I kindly explained to him where he is allowed to park; however, he went into further detail (in a frustrated manor) stating that the police hate him due to his skin color and that he isnt allowed to make mistakes (i.e. parking in a no parking area.) While I completely understand his confusion on the parking situation, I found it completely unprofessional to take his anger out at me; a simple customer who wanted some cookies. Voicing your opinion is great and I encourage all people to do so; but doing it at work on a delivery to an innocent customer isnt the time or place. I hope in the future if he (or any employee) has this strong of an opinion about something. that they decide they dont need to deliver to that location, maybe then that would avoid another innocent cookie lover from getting yelled at.

Not cheap, but the cookies are addicting. We drive to Lawrence from KC just to get some Hot Box.

I came here my son and it was reminiscent of the famous ice cream sandwich place they have at the UCLA campus. My son giggled at the name then I told him to just say no to drugs, but say yes to the cookies.

Stopped by to see what was available. walked away with 10 cookies. They almost didnt make it to the hotel room, which was just a block away. Ill definitely be back.

The adolescents that work in this establishment need to be under constant supervision.After waiting for nearly five minutes standing at the counter being ignored Weston walks up to the register holding his hand up with blood running down the side. He proceeded to ask what I would like to order and then tells me he is unable to fill my order because he is incapacitated at the moment. It took my telling him that he would not be denying me service and that I could wait a few more minutes while he appropriately cleaned and covered his bleeding wound (hello health code violation) after already making me wait so long.He then went on to have a temper tantrum about how horrible it is to work at Hot Box Cookies while hap hazardly applying a bandaid and continuing to give inappropriate attitude.While the cookies are great (Im partial to a frosting sandwich) the service is HORRIBLE.Unfortunately this is not my first unpleasant experience at this location, this time, however was bad enough to leave a review.
