I WAS NOW INFORMED ID TAKEN TO LONG TO MOVE THE HOME OFF THE LOT AND THEY SOLD MY HOME TO SOMEONE ELSE LOOK FOR MY REFUND CHECK IN THE MAIL. AND THAT WAS THE END OF THAT. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN THE DISTRICT MANAGER WOULD HEAR NOTHING OF IT, WHEN I DEMANDED A NAME AND NUMBER TO HIS SUPERIOR I GOT THE RUNAROUND AND IN FACT NEVER GOT EITHER NAME OR NUMBER. THEY BOTH WERE MORE CONCERNED WITH LINING THEIR OWN POCKETS THAN HELPING ME MAKE ONE OF THE BIGGEST PURCHASES IN MY LIFE . FOR SOME OF US BUYING A HOME IS A VERY BIG DEAL WE ONLY GET ONE SHOT TO GET IT RIGHT, AND I ASSURE YOU WHILE ONE OF THESE HOMES ADVERTISED LOOK LIKE THE PRICE IS SET JUST RIGHT, THERE IS FAR MORE EXPENSE INCLUDED AND MUST BE MADE IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS YOUR OWN THAN CLAYTON HOMES WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO BELIEVE. We came by looking at homes, and met Catie. We told her about our situation and what we were looking for, and she was the best sales person we had worked with so far! She was very knowledgeable about the homes, and even gave us an education about costs of getting one. She even was very knowledgeable about trailer parks, which helped us to make a decision about were we wanted to live.Thanks to her, we know our time frame and approximate cost to get set up. I recommend her to anyone considering getting a manufactured home, because she lays it out right and gives honest answers to questions.

I drive by this place from time to time and decided to stop in and take a look around. Paul found me wandering around (probably looking lost) and came up to introduce himself to me and asked if I had any questions about anything I had looked at so far. I went in and looked at a manufactured unit to use as a pool house for my property. I dealt with Paul Anderson and he was great. He didnt come off pushy or like a salesman but he knew everything and was able to answer every question for me. I have never been the type of girl to admire mobile homes. I just hated everything about them and its trailer park look, but I tell you this, after my husband and I were given an inside tour of the mobile homes here I was completely ecstatic! I was so amazed in just how beautiful they actually looked inside and the display was absolutely fantastic! I just loved everything about it. My husband and I will most definitely be buying from this company.

Its a nice place except for when you ask how much they dont tell you right away the full price. It starts with the price of the home but not the put together the hauling the looking to see. It just keeps going up.

Went with another person so she could get an idea for housing. People were nice.

I called here and talked a sales person before going in and explained our property ownership and my employment status (self employed for a year) The salesperson said that was no issue and that we should come in. We drove over an hour to get there and then looked at a few models. We picked one out and then again I went over my employment info and was told yes that should be no problem. I took thier application home and spent hours filling out this huge application and then drove an hour again to drop it off and a 500.00 deposit as well. I waited to hear from them for about 4 days with no reply. Then they finally submitted everything. I got called by 4 different lenders and all of them told me there was no way that I could be financed even though we owned the land because I had to be self employed for 2 years with returns minimum. Then my credit score took a nice big hit because all 5 lenders hard pulled my credit.I called them back and told her that I was upset this all happened when I explained to them my employment status multiple times and this was not going to work from any of thier lenders. I also called and left two voice-mails for the manager and got no return call. The sale person I talked to told me she had requested my refund and I could come get it. I asked oh I have to drive an hour now to get my refund? Her reply If you ask nicely Ill mail it At that point I asked her to have the manager call me and again never got a call from him.I would never do business with this place again.

These homes are not the stereotypical manufactured homes. Very nice and Maren was friendly and knowledgeable.

Ive waited and thought about this for a long time before posting, and i wasnt going to say anything but i think it is necessary. Essentially, we started this process in April of 2016. We put our earnest payment down, had our land under contract, financing in place with wells fargo (780 credit score). We were told because we were buying a house that was already on the lot, we had our land under contract and our financing was in place that we could expect completion in 60-90 days. Needless to say we did not move into our home until July of 2017 (15 months later!!). Anytime there was an issue on our end we had it resolved within 24 hours. When the appraisal came back low we came in with cash and paid the price down to what the bank would finance. Essentially, we put 55k out of pocket down to keep this deal moving forward. How were we repaid by Matt Rice and staff? They stopped returning our phone calls and emails. They stopped returning phone calls and emails to our lenders. At one point they actually tried to take the property from us because we were questioning their ability to complete the transaction!When their cooperate office forced them to communicate with our lender, Matt Rice was rude, unprofessional, and vindictive. We had to pay for 2 rate locks (additional 2k plus) and actually lost a 3rd when Matt Rice didnt bother showing up for our scheduled closing, and their representative didnt bother getting the signed paperwork back to the title company by the end of the day. The only reason we didnt lose a 3rd rate lock was because the good people at Wells Fargo paid the extension after experiencing just a fraction of what we went through with this company. The product (the home) that Clayton homes offers is great, however, the incompetence of its employees at this location is unimaginable. I would NOT recommend this group to anyone, am grateful that i no longer have to deal with them directly, and hope no one else ever has to go through what we went through with them!

They treated my daughter very poorly and conducted themselves very unprofessionally even the owner here on reviews is rude and unprofessional. Wont take the company long and it will surely go under

These are good bunch of people they work hard to make it a pleasant experience for buying a home just be careful when picking out a piece of land, that it approves modular housing

Update: It looks like these guys got all their friends and family members to submit reviews in order to boost their google review ratings! If you notice not one of the people with a positive review actually bought anything and they are either Pauls friend or Alyssas family member. This is further evidence of how far this company in Layton UT will go towards misleading their customers!So if you take away all the self promoting reviews: Matt Rice (manager), Kyle Firestone (Sales associate), Jessie Holbrook (former sales associate) and Taylor Kern (Kyles sister in law), you get a more accurate view of how this company actually performs. My wife worked with Matt and Ashlee for a period of time when when i was deployed and we were looking to buy a house from them. After over promising and failing to deliver multiple times she pulled the plug on the transaction. Their 3.8 review is more likely in the 2 range!

Very friendly staff walked us to a trailer and sat back and let us look through it with no pressure. Made sure all our questions where answered before we left and made it clear if we have further questions we can always​ call.

I was in the final stages of retiring and we as a family had decided to purchase outright a new mobile home built to our requirements. As this was much cheaper than building or buying a new home in our area. After deciding between two different dealerships, we went with Matt and Ashley as they were willing to work with us to get the home we wanted. They even went as far as to help us find a nice mobile home community to place our new home in. Ashley actually bent over backwards to help us get the best home and the modifications we wanted need the home. After living in our home for almost a year now, everyone who has entered our home comment on how big and open it appears for being only 1500 square feet in size.
