I dont usually write these reviews, but Loretta was so helpful and pleasant that I had to write this review.I went into the store looking for a replacement chain for my saw. Unfortunately, they did not carry my brand. Between not having my glasses to read the containers and being confused by what I did read, I had no clue which, if any of the chains would work. Luckily for me, the awesome associate Loretta, came to my rescue. I hope she is able to read this. Thank you so much for your help and brightening my day Loretta...keep up the wonderful customer service.

Excellent customer service and knowledge! Just bought my first chainsaw, Stihl MS 170 and some safety gear. Robert and Mike (service techs) were very informative and helpful while taking their time to go over the machine, how to service/clean/maintain the equipment! Excellent job guys! Another great impression from them, is that while going over the chainsaw, they didnt try to sell me the saw.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Jeff and the entire staff were amazing and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location. Single mom trying to get a generator was so stressful and Jeff really took care of us and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you, thank, thank you.

Took my new power washer here for service. Not only was Robert in the Service Dept friendly and courteous but very knowledgeable. He got me up and running in no time! Ill certainly take my equipment for repair to this NT location from now on.

The service guy was great. I took an old obsolete Coleman air compressor in that I inherited from my dad. It hadnt been run in years and I considered just throwing it out and buying an new one. $50 and it runs like new.

I always get good help to find what I need at this store.

Store manager was super helpful when a staff member needed some assistance helping me find the right tool! Every time I shop here the staff are always looking out for the customer and easily responds to questions or needs.

Great customer service, great selection, clean store. The Senior Asst. Manager Michael helped us out tremendously when we were in a pinch to put together a project wagon for our family outing. The cashier Esperanza was also very polite and attentive to our needs. We will definitely be returning to shop here and they earned a customer for life. Thanks!

Had a great experience in buying a new Stihl FS 56 RC-E straight shaft weed eater today. Our Salesperson Becky found the last one available, went over warranty, bought gas, got extra year warranty, total 3 years, bought extra .095 line, and another item, received a Northern $25 gift card for next visit. Becky helped my son with registration. Employee Bobby was available for questions too. After purchase, registration, my son and I went outside, first crank, Stihl FS 56 Weed Eater started, ran good. My son Bobby and I are happy customers. Thanks Becky for helping us with our purchase, thanks Mr. Bobby for support.

We purchased a Skihl Gas chainsaw brand new from this place April 24th. We tried to use it the first time and didnt even start we had to take it back. They took it to the back and they got it started. Said it was flooded. Put it away for a week and then again it wouldnt start the following time, and Im following the starting procedures exactly. Took it in again and left it overnight, mechanic called and said it was flooded. How many times to pull the starter cord before it gets flooded? They dont know. No one seems interested in getting me a chain saw that works they all seem interested in protecting their bottom line from having to take back a faulty chainsaw and eat the costs. Now they are saying that next time we bring it in, they will charge us a service fee. Most stores will say we will give you a store credit or exchange it, not these managers. So be careful buying anything from this League City store. NT will be hearing from me soon

Bought a chainsaw. Bought the warranty. Bought the extra extended warranty too. Chainsaw stopped working after 1 week. The manager is doing everything possible to not honor the warranty and extended warranty. Has given me every possible excuse all with a horrible attitude. Will never shop here again.

Jeff and the staff were extremely helpful to our family after our pipes burst due to the uncharacteristically cold weather. They held what we needed until we got there and were so attentive and kind when I came in to get the supplies. Jeff even took some of their display CPVC and gifted it to us since the store had been bought out prior that day. This type of service is rare these days and we will definitely be back because of it.

I recently bought (1/5/21) a Stihl back sprayer from the League City, TX store (#644). There was a woman that helped me (I think her name was Rachael). She was great and is the definition of great customer service. She help me find my product (it was in the back somewhere), she answered all my questions, she assembled the sprayer, started it to ensure it works, helped me register the warranty, and helped me get it into my vehicle. Thank you!

Im a long time customer of Northern Tool, this is the 4th store Ive used and the best by far. The manager and all the associates went out of their way to help me and in a friendly way. Ive had so-so experiences with parts and repair, especially warranty work, at the other stores, but technician Robert came through like a champ. Highly recommended by me!

I was only in there looking for a couple inexpensive stocking stuffers, but their sales guy, Kevin, was very helpful. He helped me find what I needed despite the fact I wasnt spending a lot of money, which I thought was pretty cool. This was my second time in the new store, and Im glad to finally have one much closer.

First time shopping at northern tool for myself. They have a decent selection for a wide variety of trades. Most things were easy to find though I did need help locating a few specific things. Staff was friendly and Kevin was super helpful and knowledgeable about the store. I will be returning there for future needs.

Purchased a Bigger Briggs and Stratton engine for my push mower, installed it easily. Went from 5.5 to 7.25. Starts first pull, is way more powerful and smooth running. Highly recommend, the more punch, less stress 👍. And Kevin was great, he found my engine and told me how take make it last longer. He and Doc are Awesome 👍.I took the mower and engine back 2 weeks ago because it wouldnt run. Robert the Awesome Mechanic told me that you cant let gas sit in the carb for 3 weeks it will clog up the jets. He said to Never let gas sit int the engine or the gas can for more than 2 weeks. He is a Genius 👍😎

I bought two sets of shelving after their grand opening and the store looks great! Also loved the customer service. Their sales guy Kevin knew exactly where what I needed was, which helped me get in and out quickly. They even helped me load everything.

Becareful before you buy here... if you loose a receipt and you buy a item that is not working properly they would not (exchange it) for another one even if you just bought it 3 days ago. We had to call to another Northern tool store in south houston and a guy name James help us out with our phone number. We spoke to the League City store manager Jeff and he would not do that... Really in 2020??? District Manager please train your store managers better. it sucks for a brand new store. CUSTOMER SERVICE #1 always.

They only problem I had is when I purchased the item I have a tax Exemption but tax was still show on the ticket. I questioned it and a Gentleman by the name of Gunner said when the ticket processes the tax will be taken off. It hit my AmExp and the tax was still there...? so I will see what problems I will have to get reimbursed

We lost the receipt he has our phone number in the system to ring it up and wont do it. we called another northern tool store in south houston and guy name James took care of it. Its a shame Jeff is the store manager of a brand new location were he already lost a Car dealership-Repair center business.

Not quite the experience I was looking for here today in November in 2020. A quiet and quaint Saturday afternoon visit to the old Kroger market here where not even the Pasadena Peppers restaurant could turn out the crowds here. There has always been a weird reaction for new business breaking out in League City unless you are H.E.B. Not even the early Black Friday shopping mailer I received this past week, with discount shopping coupons for $20 off of$100 spent could bring people out this weekend to shop early here.So I came to buy a Stiehl chainsaw but found out real quick that this company and Stihl doesn’t do business with HusQvarna competing, like at any Lowe’s store. And especially at this new Northern Tool location in League City. There loss. I was also informed that there Belfort location on the Gulf freeway carried this proven brand but were eventually phasing them out. I have admired the workhorse Husqvarna weed eaters for the last ten years of Texas summers and have only purchased two in that span only because my first one was stolen . So I ended up leaving League City, to visit there at Belfort Road on the Gulf Freeway, to buy the HusQvarna 460 Rancher 24” (Item ID 51619) chainsaw, and for less than half the amount of the 25” Stihl 550 chainsaw, in store only at $1349.99. Incidentally, the Black Friday $20 coupon off of $100 in store spent, cannot be used in store, because it states in very small print on their mailer for any “Stihl“ item.This model 550 is Made in Germany not the United States as Stihl likes to brag by. I later paid a sweet $519.99 at the Northern Tool Belfort location for HusQvarna 460 Rancher 24”, and for their one year of accidental damage plan coverage by Northern tool a fee of $99.99.

So apparently if it says only buy in store the manager will not honor the online price .....went in to buy a ms170 stihl chainsaw which the website said was 179.99 and said buy instore only ...but the tag said 189.99 so even though two employees pulled up what I saw he would not honor it ..very poor customer service ....worst manager decision ever ....I my family and my familys family will not be back ...ten bucks is not a big deal but your poor attitude is no well received

Dont Buy tools here.... They dont care about customer … they just open this store and I rather much deal with harbor freight... We spoke to several managers even the Store Manager Jeff and he kick out one of my employees because he tried to exchange not return an item we bought 3 days ago that is defective and we lost the receipt.

Dont buy tools from this place they wont exchange defective brand new tools save yourself the headache and go to harbor freight tools.

A lot more inventory than Harbor Freight, maybe higher prices, higher end merchandise, not all Chinese surplus. Awkward access but good parking. Enough staff to cover the needs.
