Dustin was so kind, I really appreciated the time he took with me and the kindness he showed our daughter and her repair also. Dustin knows what Good customer service is all about!

Be mindful doing business here. I came in for a simple job and although I expected more work to be requested (as is typical with these places) the quote was astronomical. Spoke with my family whom is familiar with auto maintenance and they informed me the prices were absurd. They were also extremely rude telling me to take better care of my car and when I asked if they could just do what I came in for (and refused the additional work they requested) they became visibly upset and telling me they were going to lose money on the work. I also was notified the job was done via their messaging system and when I came in the individual told me that electronics take time and I need to just wait. I sat in the waiting room to well after they were closed. Of course this is just my take on the situation but I find it suspicious that every review on here compliments the place and individual I dealt with. I will never return to this business and will make sure to inform family/friends to not come here as well. I wish others the best of luck. Just be careful, know a rough estimate of the cost of what you are looking for, and don’t expect kindness/professionalism, which unfortunately seems to inundate the reviews for this business.

I called in and a sales associate answered. I was given no notification that they were busy or slammed full of clients. This sales associate took his time to answer my questions and we were having a normal conversation when he was cut off. Come to find out a manager or another sales associate took the phone away from him and started to lecture me that they were very busy and he cant tie up the phone line just to answer my questions. When I said I was a potential client and he did not have to be that way he still persisted in suggesting I was wasting his and everyone elses time because they were short staffed. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere. More training in the way of customer service would be suggested to the rude associate who hijacked the conversation.

These two gentlemen got me in quick as they could. Juggled as much as they could. Kept me updated with what they were doing and what they saw with my brakes. Dustin was patient with myself and other customers on a very busy Sunday morning. He had only two people in the shop and dozens of customers. He took care of everyone he could and scheduled them accordingly. Since mine was a brake job and most everyone else was oil changes, I told him we would leave the vehicle for a few hours to help accommodate the line of customer needs. Picked up that afternoon and all was well. Had a full caliper replacement on the back right, new rotars and brakes. Felt the price to be fair. Will go back and recommend to others.

Only giving 3 stars for the past service I’ve received. However, today I left work an hour early because I had an appointment scheduled at 5 to have my brakes repaired. I show up and was rudely turned away and told they couldn’t get to my car today. Really needed my car fixed TODAY. Wife needs a car to take kids to and from school and I need my car to go to work. Sitting at Kwik Kar down the road now. No idea what kind of service or pricing I’m about to receive. Really disappointed in Brake Check, if you can’t meet appointment times, don’t make them available online to book.

On Sept 26th, I went to Check Brakes to get service for my daughters car. I wanted to know why all the lights on the dash brake were on.They promise to take care of the problem and to make the lights go away. Off course, they upsell by suggesting to replaced the brakes and rotors which I accepted as long as they took care of the problem. Sadly for me, all lights appeared the next day. Even more disgusting the action of going through my wifes wallet and take the only bill she had in there. Its not too much about the bill, but more about the action. Not the best experience 😕. We do not recommend it.

Had an issue with another store and was sent here for a follow up inspection. The manager and staff at this location were professional, knowledgeable and were willing to go the extra mile to resolve my issue. Speedy service as well. Will definitely be willing to give these guys another shot.

I had my brakes replaced about 18 months ago. They were making a noise when I braked.They took them off, showed them to me and stated they didn’t need to be replaced.Gave me peace of mind and all free of charge!My son comes here for oil changes and I’m glad I found a new place so close to home in Leander.

We were in a total panic today as we found out that my daughter had been driving her car and the brakes were, completely, making grinding noises and on a rainy day. Needed all 4 brakes and rotors replaced. They were able to take us two hours before they closed even though they were busy. They got us set up with everything and done before closing time. I had made several calls to different places and only this store would take us. Thank you so much for the professionalism and the care you gave us. We have total peace of mind. Arrived for scheduled appointment, staff of 2 were prepared and professional and took time to explain options even though it was clearly busy and the store seemed short staffed. The Manager help me with all my Questions and explain everything to me,I was just there for oil change but was ask about alignment, has it been done,im like, well No,I wasnt sure,it was free,but he did notice that the left side, was moving in and out and show me what needed to be fix,I new the driver side shakes a lot but I thought it was my rims,but suggest to get a whelk balance as well,stop that shaking,Thank You Manager and team,yall are awesome, Question,Manager ? I travel from cedar creek to have my lifted tundra serviced regularly. The guys there are excellent.

Found out that my oil drain plug was stripped and leaking oil so we called, hopped in our car, pulled up, and got it fixed right away. Thanks to the excellent and friendly service James provided we will definitely be back! 100% recommend!

My car failed inspection, again. Last year it was the ebrake which they rebuilt. This year the inspection folks claimed the brakes felt like they took too much pressure, so it was back to Brake Check. They checked the whole system, determined the front brakes needed work and then did the job while I waited and in the end for less than the original quote. You bet Ill be back if I need brake work again.

I first went to my regular auto shop for my brakes..they told me $1400.00 for just front brakes!! I knew that was CRAZY! So I found Brake Check though I had no great expatations but boy did they impress me!! Just a little over $400.00 brakes all around plus rotors turned and the best customer service from the manager. They have an open bay policy and allowed me to sit there and watch the whole process which reassured my concerns after my regular shop tried to screw me. Great prices! Great service! Fast quality work!! Ill definitely be back and recommend to all!

I had a great experience with Brake Check today! The gentleman I dealt with was incredibly nice and helpful! My skid plate was hanging off under my Explorer and when another place said they couldn’t help, he fixed it with no questions asked. We’ll be back for all our car servicing in the future!

Went in 30 minutes before they closed because my brakes were grinding. They took the time to show me what was wrong and stayed after closing to get it done. They showed the back brakes were going to have to be done soon but didnt pressure me to get them done. He understood I couldnt financially afford it and gave me discounts on the work he did.

.....went into the Leander store on a Sunday afternoon. Got me in within 5 mins....Had new rotors, calipers, and pads installed. They let me clean the hard to access back side of my wheels while they had em off, and l was out of thier within 2 hours.The only thing they could have done better would be...doin it for free...

This location has one of, if not the single most honest and helpful technicians I have ever encountered. Big shout out to Toby. We were having brake grinding as well as other issues. When we brought our vehicle in they checked everything out for free, when everyone else was going to charge us over $100 just for the diagnostic. We had an unfortunate and unforeseeable circumstance that required us to leave our car overnight for a few nights and even though they kept finding things wrong, they kept fixing them... FOR FREE. He even gave us a discount on the original brake job for the inconvenience! I am not super car savvy so my worst nightmare is going to a mechanic for something as simple as a brake job and walking out the door with a bill of $2000 because of something like this, but Toby was completely transparent with us throughout the whole experience, and he really helped to ease our minds. Lastly after we brought the car out we heard a new knocking noise that wasnt there before, so we took it back in. He expedited our service and we were out the door in 15 minutes, again with no charge. I will definitely be coming back for all my oil changes, and whatever else that happens and they can fix. Awesome service, this could have been an awful experience but for how great these guys were to us. 11/10!

Great experience and service - I replaced some suspension components along with new tires and they performed alignment for me. They went out of their way to tighten my front, upper control arms (as I didnt have the right tools to tighten once lowered) to give me some much needed peace of mind. After having problems with the brake job I got at the Leander location and getting attitude and no help from the former store director Ruben, I left vowing never to return. I was still having problems so I returned and talked to the new store director Lee. He was extremely helpful and understanding and helped us get our car brakes repaired properly. I would recommend anyone visit the location as long as Lee is the manager!

We needed a quick an easy oil change of our car and didnt want to go to some of the other places in town. Was not expecting much actually, but they surprised us. Friendly folks, clean waiting room, and quick service. They didnt get pushy about upselling either. Will definitely go again.

Ruben (store manager) has been my families go to guy for 2 1/2 years he is the only person we trust with our vehicles, he never tries to sale me unnecessary things just to make a profit off of me, always gets me in and out quickly and always gives great customer service! I have kept my business with Ruben no matter which store he is at I make the drive for my peace of mind and knowing that my car is in the BEST hands!
