Very nice Sephora. It’s on the small/average side but they have a lot of the necessary brands. The staff was great and super helpful. It’s much less busy than the Overland Park mall location, so I prefer to go here.
I had a great experience at this location. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Never thought I’d be reviewing a Sephora in my life, but well, they carry Tom Ford, so I crossed the threshold. Am I glad I did! Not only was everyone super friendly, but Kira was a fragrance superstar who not only (and obviously) loved her job, but took nuanced preferences from my wife and I and turned them into outstanding recommendations. A 10 out of 10 visit and store! Keep up the great work all!
Everytime I come in here, the staff are so welcoming and fun. One of my favorite places to go and feel better.
If you are going to racially profile customers for shoplifting at least attempt to be discreet about it!I’ve patronized Sephora for years and have never been profile before. It must be a Mid-west thing. I advise that you have some diversity training for your staff and actually hire more ethnicities. A 1:10 ratio of “diversity” is absolutely pathetic. It is 2021 you should be ashamed!I will not be returning to this location ever again.I would give this store a -10 stars, but clearly that is not an option.
I was in at the end of March and employees followed me, spraying what smelled like undiluted rubbing alcohol on the opposite end of whatever shelf I was looking at... Usually within 1-2 feet from me. I had on a mask properly and wasnt touching anything. It was over an hour til they closed - I even asked one of the employees in case I misread the hours. The rubbing alcohol just seemed annoying, but I started feeling ill when I hadnt been in more than 15 min. I ended up with a headache and nausea for hours.
Makeup, makeup and more makeup. Everyone is very helpful. I enjoy coming in here to shop for makeup.
I was at the Sephora Leewood, KS location because last week (April 8) and the week before I bought some makeup and after I checked out the salesperson told me about the spring sale happening this week (April 9-19). I went in to return and repurchase my make up with the sale price and they had to call the store manager Patricia? Patty Courtney for this. She talked to me in a condescending and rude manner humiliating me in front of everyone around trying to explain that as per sephora policy they dont price adjust and that I bought the items outside of the sales window. I tried to explain to her that it was within sephoras return policy for me to be able to return any purchase within 30 days. All Im asking is to repurchase the same used items Im returning using the sale so sephora company does not get stuck with used returns. She kept trying to explain the sale to me and how I did not get it in the sales window by a day and that she would do me a favor to allow me to do the repurchase for only the items I bought the day before the sale started. So I asked her if the 30 day return policy is still in effect for sephora and she said yes but tried explaining to me the sale again in a condescending tone so I ended up just saying fine I want a refund and did not bother repurchasing the items back because she upset me a lot. A shame because I really liked the items I had bought. I left the store to my husband waiting in the car and explained what had happened and he was upset for me and went inside to find out the name of the woman so that he can call corporate office to let them know. He figures someone there would want to know how customers are being treated. He went in to talk to her and tried explaining our side and she was trying to talk over him about the sale adjustment policy rather than listening to the complaint and said Can I please talk?! when she was the one that started talking over him and interrupted him. Then she said that he was yelling at her when he was not. His voice was animated but not loud or yelling. Then she dismisses him turning away to walk away and says in a loud voice towards the people at the register to call security. We realize that we were getting nowhere with her so we asked her name so that we can reach out to sephora and only got it after asking for it multiple times. In the past I have had no issues with sephora and it has been a nice relaxing place to shop. I like going into the store so I can try the makeup before I buy to minimize having to return stuff but if this is the customer service I get in stores I will be staying far away from stores. It is very sad because with online shopping becoming more popular I see many brick and mortar stores closing but unless there is better focus on customer service I think all brick and mortar stores will suffer loss of customers and in turn cause the loss of job opportunities in my community. I highly doubt anything will come of my complaint and she will continue to be rude to certain customers she feels she can talk to in this manner (meek and timid type like myself) but I hope that someone at sephora will look into it.
Staff very helpful and friendly!
I will never step foot in this store again. I was told my mask wasnt up to their standards and then the same woman helped a lady dressed head to toe in designer clothes with her mask not covering her face. The manager is unprofessional and I have never had such an awful experience in an Sephora. Honestly, a district manager needs to go in and straighten that place up.
Above and beyond the customer service I expected at Sephora. Sydney truly cared about my skin issues and gave me samples of some things and informed me of a product from my favorite brand, drunk elephant, that she is confident will help the dryness from my acne medication while not causing any other problems to my skin. This is not my normal Sephora, as I live closer to two other ones, the plaza and oak park mall and I will make the extra trip because of how helpful, empathetic, and knowledgeable they were about their products and what would be best for me. Best Sephora experience I’ve had.
I am an avid false lash wearer. I bought some lashes that just werent made correctly. They sat so awkwardly. So, I went to return them, and they would not help. I COMPLETELY understand that they cannot resale them after they have been worn, but my $ shouldnt just be wasted. They should refund and stand by their 100% satisfaction policy.
Excellent staffing during the busy holidays!
The staff at this store is amazing. I went an hour before close with a ton of questions. Everyone was so willing to help me and I even got a mini makeover without asking for one or spending a ton on products. I ended up staying until close talking to the cashier because she was so friendly. Sephora has a reputation of having somewhat aloof staff but that has absolutely never been my experience at this location.
Walked right in, was greeted by several different folks. Had a nice gal lead me right to what I was looking for very efficiently. Never thought Id drop $400 for a hair dryer, but my wife loves her new Dyson
First time customer and I told the nice lady I wanted clean makeup with no coconut product. After 4 items and $100 later, I go to my car to put my new stuff on but its not clean makeup and there is coconut oil in each piece I bought. Went back in to explain what happened and nice lady tried to help me again. I walked out with nothing.
A store that has any and all cosmetics... just make sure to look up any promotions they might be having before hand have found some great deals that way
I wish I would.have gotten the name of who helped me first because she was amazing and totally got me but honestly I was amazed by everyone that helped.me here
Great selection and choices! Staff is super friendly.
Went in to get the new Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, Gabriella was so friendly and patient. She took her time to help match my skin to the perfect color foundation. She also took the time to explain the proper way to apply the foundation to achieve a natural look. I purchased the foundation, sponge and lip gloss. I will definitely be back to purchase more. Thanks Gabriella!!!! Youre amazing at you job!
The service is amazing way better then in JC Penneys
I normally love Sephora, but not this one! My friend were in to get new skin care products, but the employees were to busy talking to each other to help. They also had to freshen their makeup up, instead of helping paying customers. One even asked for our opinion to help with her acne.
Go see Gabriella for a consultation. Seriously. She really listened to my needs, my ideas, and gave me just what I wanted. The whole store staff was terrific.
Busy location. Has always been clean and staff has always been helpful every time Ive been
I agree with with some of the other comments. The workers are too busy talking to each other to help. They don’t greet you. It’s not my favorite Sephora. I only go when I know what I want or I’m in the area.
I’ve shopped Leawood’s Sephora off and on now for the past 3 years...enough so, to be a Sephora VIB member, lol...or, at least last I knew. I’ve shopped there increasingly less, however, in the last year or so. I stopped in this afternoon, to pick up a haircare item. Chrissy or Christy, I don’t recall which was her name, guided me to the items I was in search of...but, when I realized one of the items was not priced and approached her for the price, she became annoyed and slammed the small box on the podium-type stand she was standing behind and proceeded to look for the price. I, being a woman of some life experience, do not become intimidated that easily, so, I asked her what her problem was and if I annoyed her, to which she seemed to snap out of whatever state had possessed her, apologized, and seemed to brighten towards me. Nonetheless, I no longer felt like purchasing the one item that I needed less, so, I placed it back on the rack and proceeded to the makeup area where I was greeted by a couple of other sales staff who were quite pleasant. I ended up purchasing one haircare item and a couple of small makeup items... $60 in all... yet, I’m sufficiently put off by Ms Chrissy/Christy’s outburst that I don’t intend to return. I was having a nice day prior to my encounter with her, and while it took a bit to shake it off, I’m fine now. My message is simple... don’t bring your issues to work with you... your customers aren’t your emotional punching bags.
Ask for Valerie! I came in for a few quick things, wanting to stay off the radar and head to the register. I just wasnt feeling great about myself (newly pregnant, with a changing body and face). Well, I need help finding a certain blush and Valerie was called in. Not only did I leave feeling wonderful, but even a little taller. She sure didnt have to - and the store was pretty busy - but asked if she could teach me a few things about bronzer and highlighter. Instead of just trying out makeup I picked out myself and not wearing it, I can honestly say that everything I just purchased will become part of my new everyday routine.Thank you to the amazing team here - especially Valerie! I found some confidence tonight. XO
My wife loves shopping here especially when they have sales running.
Meredith was so helpful and really listened
I went in to make an exchange and at the counter the cashier who did not even bother greeting me, just said if I was ready to go we could come up, did not make eye contact with me once while I was trying to ask her a question. The question was simply if she had any idea when sephora would be restocking the new Fenty brand foundation in 120 neutral because they are out everywhere I go including online. Her answer was I dont know. Probably never. Call Rhianna and ask her yourself. Shes the one with all the money. And that was the only thing she said besides heres your receipt...so sweet.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, found exactly what I was looking for quickly.
The staff followed me everywhere I went as if I was going to steal something I asked one of my friends who also goes there time to time she said she had the same problem. Im not stealing but your dirty looks makes me feel like I should.
I am new to Sephora. I signed up for the Play By Sephora box in February and received my 1st Playbox in March. The box comes with 5 beauty sample & 1 fragrance sample plus a PlayPass. The PlayPass is a card to use in a Sephora store to get help with your new products and to earn points with a purchase.I was greeted immediately by all the employees within eyesight. I was pretty clear about what I wanted to look at but was not sure if I was going to purchase that day. They asked what my specific concerns were and they were very honest about which type of product would work best for me. This actually took me away from the more expensive products to Sephoras brand. Loving it!Im looking forward to my next Playbox and visit to this store. Great customer service!FYI; not sure about a couple of products? Just ask for a couple of samples to try. They will put together samples of the products they can for you.
They are sweet in this store. Very helpful!!
Love me some sephora
Drove 40 miles for a product they supposedly had. They did not have it. What a waste of time and gas.
Good Selection
Helpful very friendly
Poor customer service! This place needs new management and new associates as nobody here knows how to take care of customers!
Fun place.
