There are many great boat brands out there, but when you need service, advice, or just someone to share a great boating story with, the Aquasport team stands head and shoulders above the rest. I was a die hard Nautique guy, but got horrible customer service from my local Nautique dealer, and when I turned to Matt and the Aquasport team, they were incredible. I am now the proud owner of a new Mastercraft, and so glad I have taken my business to Aquasport Marine.
I have shared this story on several occasions in regards to amazing customer service. I bought a brand new Mastercraft X26 three years ago from Aqua Sport Marine. My first Saturday at the lake I had an issue with the battery switch after I dropped my family off at the dock as the sun was going down. I could not get it started as I pushed off from the dock at Elm Hill Marina. I was quickly drifting towards the rocks on the bank when an employee from Aqua Sport Marine saw me as she was walking towards the marina restaurant for dinner with her date. She recognized the boat and realized it was brand new and quickly jumped into the water and kept me from hitting the rocks. She pulled me to a safe dock and called the service department manager on his cell to figure out how to get me started again. Im sure she had to go back home to change clothes before dinner. I was so impressed and use this story often. Great customer service!
What started out as a great customer experience with ASM has slowly soured since April. The initial contact, communications, test drive, and ease of transaction were all outstanding on the purchase end of our used Mastercraft. However, after the sale, customer service has been very disappointing and frankly, extremely frustrating.As an out-of-state buyer, we are required by law to have a registered license plate on the boat trailer. To do so, we must present a trailer MSO (Manufacturer Statement of Origin) to the license bureau. At time of purchase back in mid-April, we were told by ASM that they would get a hold of it.Well, it is mid-June and we still never received it! We made 14 phone calls to ASM over this period, only to be told every excuse in the book; examples: they need a form from Mastercraft, just haven’t had time to fill out form, just sent the form in, Mastercraft is not answering us, they are out on a test drive, can’t get in touch with my MC rep, check back tomorrow, I promise to call you back, etc. Lots of excuses, ASM read THAT book, yet, NO RESULTS!Unfortunately, we were pulled over last week towing the boat without a trailer plate. Considering we were past the 30 day window, we ended up with a ticket. Long story short, without the MSO we had to purchase a commercial vehicle trailer license which cost considerately more initially and each and every single year.Just a word to potential out-of-state buyers that need to register a boat trailer, make sure you have the trailer MSO before you finalize the deal. Realizing Tennessee does not register trailers, it appears this area is not an ASM priority nor does it appear that an out-of-state buyer holds much weight after the sales transaction due to distance from their dealership.
Matt and Kaleb and the team at AquaSport are amazing. Matt spent hours educating us on the options and never tried to “sell” us on a boat but rather take the time to let us determine what was the right boat for our needs. Kaleb provided a wonderful experience test driving and going over the features of the boat, and was very accommodating with our work schedules to test the boat and even stayed late so we could close mid-week. I can’t say enough good things about the AquaSport team, and we are lifelong customers now. Don’t bother going anywhere else, AquaSport it the best!

Since 2014 Michael Moore and crew have taken care of our Ebbtide with skill, and craftmanship. There was a time when the problem baffled ASM but they stuck with it till we got a positive result. Heading to WakeFest this past Saturday we hit a log and bent a prop on our new XStar. One of the guys was heading to WakeFest Saturday night and boated down to our marina (a good hour out of the way) Sunday morning and swapped out the prop before executing his plans.

In July of this year we decided that it was time to upgrade from our Bennington pontoon to a boat geared towards wake surfing. I did a lot of research online and then looked at what brands dealers in and around Nashville carried. As much as I would enjoy a Mastercraft, we weren’t willing to start with Mastercraft prices, so I ended up looking at brands like Moomba, Axis, Heyday, and a few others.After looking at the Aqua Sport Marine website, I called to ask questions and get more pricing on their remaining Moomba Mojo. I ended up talking with Matt Fisher, one of the owners. I think that first conversation was close to 45 minutes, and we had a great discussion about what we were looking for, tradeoffs at various cost levels, things to look at when comparing various brands, etc. I never felt rushed or pressured in any way, and left that conversation much more informed than I had started.I decided to stop in to the dealership that same afternoon and see the boat I was interested in in person. Again, no pressure at all… I was able to look all I wanted and then Matt was there to show me the boat and discuss features. That weekend, I brought my wife and kids in to see the Mojo as well, and although Matt was out checking out a boat that was about to be delivered, his partner Sandy took over and spent time with us, answering all of my wife’s questions.About a week later, I went with my son and a friend and Matt took us out on the water for a demo ride. Once again, he seemed perfectly willing to spend whatever time it took to be comfortable with the Mojo. He even taught my son to wake surf while we were out. By this point we had decided that we wanted the boat, and even though we had some timing issues on when we could purchase it, Matt was willing to work with us and be very flexible to make it happen.A few weeks later we took delivery of the boat, which they brought down to us at Tim’s Ford lake. Michael spent several hours with us out on the water, teaching me the basics of driving an inboard, teaching us how to use the controls and features, how to get setup for wake surfing and anything else we wanted to spend time on.Unlike many dealers, our communications didn’t stop after we paid for the boat and took delivery. I’ve heard from Matt several times, just checking in to make sure everything is going well and seeing if I have any questions. Working with Matt and the team at Aqua Sport Marine has been a great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Aqua Sport is Great!! Ive bought 3 Mastercrafts from them and they always take care of the issues that come up.Only issue Ive noticed is that Michael in service is not a good ping pong player. He talks alot about being good but he wont put his money where his mouth is.Awesome place for all your boating needs!!Ty Carter
Would not stand behind their work. They changed the impeller October 2018 with 95 hours on the boat. I purchased the boat from the individual that had the service done here with 103 hours on the boat in Oct 2019. The impeller cover had two broken bolts and the gasket was pushed out (notes from the other authorized dealer who made the repair). So I called Aqua Sports Marine to cover the repair and they would not. It was obvious the did the work incorrectly but since a boating season passed they said they would not cover. Regardless there was only 8 hours on the change and felt this should be covered. Advise you to use caution when having service done here.
Purchased a used Mastercraft X-2 from them last year. The entire process was super easy and fun. I had some minor issues with my boat (my fault) and they helped get everything fixed at a super fair price. One of those times being at 10:00 at night when I was leaving for vacation the next morning with my boat. I would highly recommend these guys for all of your needs!
Let me just say that if you’re buying a boat that these guys sell, BUY FROM THEM!!! I have three young kids so deciding what boat to buy had to factor in those little guys. We started to look at boats last year (2017) and thought we wanted a deck boat with a head. We test drove few different boats and thought we had decided. In the end, we ended up not buying one. Matt was not at all disappointed or aggravated towards us for the time we took to not buy a boat. He kept in touch with us all year until we came back in spring of 2018. His communication was excellent, no pushy sales tricks or anything else and followed through on all our agreements when we closed on a new tow boat in May. When buying a car or boat or other big ticket item, the relationship is very important to me. I felt so good about my experience at Aqua Sport Marine with Matt Fisher that I sent my brother in law to buy a boat there too. I highly suggest this place.
I purchased a MasterCraft X-2 from them last year. It took me a long time to determine exactly what I wanted and they were patient with me during the entire process. I never felt pressured to make a decision even after they spent a lot of time with me allowing me to test drive some different options.I have never regretted my decision to purchase from them. Their patience and great customer service extended past my purchase also. Their service department has been great!
Please read until the end. So we have been looking for a boat for awhile now (at least a few years off and on) and finally decided this year to get serious about buying one. I found this one one day and we decided to go look. I got to the dealer before my wife and wanted to look at the boat by myself before anyone came to bother me about it. When my wife got there and we had a minute to talk about it I waved the sales man over and he walked around it with us and talked with us about it. It was the end of the day for the dealer and they never acted like we were bothering them or they had somewhere to be. The boat was in wonderful shape and I wanted to take it for a test drive. They said think it over for the night and get back with them in the morning and let them know what we wanted to do, there was never any pressure to buy or hurry up. We discussed it and decided we wanted it. Im not going to lie we bought the cheapest boat on the lot and the treated us like we bought the most expensive boat. We took it on the test drive and found a few problems with the boat, all small and they didnt even hesitate to fix them, all I did was tell them what I thought and they were on it. When I ask when I could take the boat they said it was mine (after I paid of course) and I could take it whenever I wanted, however he said he wanted to fix it first and clean it up. Like I said they treated us like we bought the most expensive boat there. I am really impressed with aqua sport marine as a company and with the sales staff. I took the boat out today and it was very impressive. I cant say enough good things about this place. If you are thinking about buying a boat you will feel very comfortable here, guaranteed.
This dealership sets new standards for service. I live in another state and keep my boat at Center Hill Lake. Even though I didnt buy my boat from them, I have had it serviced at Aqua Sport since the day I purchased it. They go out of their way to make things as convenient as possible (e.g. winterize boats at the storage units) and they go out of their way to make things right. Well, just bought another boat for the second time from Aqua Sport Marine. Let me begin to say that I buy some of the lower priced boats. No matter what, they always treat me the same vs buying a 100k boat. This place is great. Matt (one of the owners) is great and took his time with me. I am very picky on what I want and spent a large amount of time test driving and doing a full inspection. Matt was patient with me and was there to always help. Once i pointed out a few minor problems with the boat, Matt and his team were more than fair about fixing them and giving me a fair deal on the boat (hey, they have to make money). I am sure in a few years I will back there to by another boat. This dealership is great from the owners to the staff members. They treat you well and take care of the customers. If you dont buy from them........you are just missing out! Can you buy a boat from a person on Craiglist cheaper.......yeap. Do you know what you are going to get........nope. Aqua Sport Marine used boats are great boats that have been fully inspected by them to make sure they are great. Great solid boat=No Worries

Purchased a new Mastercraft NXT. The buying experience was great - Matt was awesome and everyone was always friendly. I shopped and looked for many, many months. I was never pressured and was always welcomed. Boating is new for us and they always took the time to explain the boats - pluses and minuses (including the competition), all the associated gear and answer all of my questions . I always felt that they wanted my familys boating experience to be the best possible.Delivery of the boat was also great. Michael took all the time we needed on the water to show us how to use the boat and make sure we were completely comfortable with everything. He was very patient and very knowledgeable.They have also been great with the after sale help and support - quickly responding to any of our questions.(Addition)We have now had the boat for a couple months. The service has been great. They continue to treat us as a valued customer - everyone in the service department has been great!!!

I took my boat for winterization on the 4th of November. Wanted to get oil changed, impeller, couple of other odds and ends. Told the gent I dropped it off with to please make sure battery is disconnected when they werent working on it. I got paranoid and called the shop to tell an additional gent. Guess what happened when I picked it up over a month later?? Battery is dead. I had a very nice gel battery. Paid extra for it because I dont want any problems on the water. Was offered a battery that was not comparable. Theyre reasoning is that my battery was older. Yet youre still offering to give me a new battery as a replacement, just not the one you killed. A shame. We were very close to making a new boat purchase. Will not ever do business with a company that wont fix what they broke.
Our family had an open bow Larsen for 17 years and last October we decided it was time for a new boat that would do everything. There are 19 of us, four married adult children and nine grandchildren. Skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, and tubing are all in demand. We researched several brands and I was amazed to discover that the three top brands were virtually identical in price, but not necessarily in quality. I visited two dealerships, one in Hendersonville (the other two top of the line brands) and Aqua Sport Marine.It became clear that the quality built into Mastercraft was far superior in my opinion. Now, which model would be the best for our family? Matt Fisher helped my wife and I talk through the pros and cons of each model and while it wasnt easy, we decided upon the X30 (now the XT23) because it would support surfing and skiing. There was absolutely no pressure and the negotiation was so simple. They prepped it and delivered it to Tims Ford Lake. The process couldnt have been more pleasant.We put 30 hours on it in October and Michael Moore and Mike Harvel teamed up to perform the initial breakin service and winterize on our dock in November. They have a unique winterizing process that does not require another visit to prepare it for Spring. When the time was right we just lowered the boat into the water and started it. In the past I would have spent a day cleaning the interior and exterior after sitting on the lift for the winter. Not with this cover and the tips the guys gave me regarding storage. I removed the cover and it looked like the day we purchased it.Since then we have put 100 hours on the boat this season. It has been a learning process and the electronics are so simple to operate. When I have had any question the guys have been ready to answer them immediately, and made me feel like they really want me to call them for advice.I waited until now to write this review because I wanted to be sure Aqua Sport Marine would deliver on their promises. They have gone above and beyond my wildest expectations of customer service. If you want the best boat on the market, at a fair price, and the greatest buying and service experience I highly recommend Matt Fisher and his colleagues at Aqua Sport Marine.
