I decided I would go to Umbergers’s yesterday to buy paint instead of the big home improvement store in Palmyra. I prefer to give the business to our small local businesses. I had a paint chip from the big home improvement store I wanted to have matched. The employee at Umberger’s told me they couldn’t match it because the tool/scanner was broken. Apparently it’s been broken for weeks and no effort has been made to replace it or fix it.

Took a blower there for diagnosis, 4 weeks ago.After 10 day got information on needed repair, at a price of 110.00.Notified echo on warranty and they informed me they would replace part at n/cBut not labor since not a echo dealer.Informed them i have 60.00 parts and would drop off to repair.They said it would be 90.00 to repair, a 20 dollar difference.Really!I informed them i would be in to pick up, when i got there the machine was in pieces. So for 25.00 they ripped it apart, never put back together.I asked to speak to manager he informed me he would have it put back together to pick up.That was 2 and half weeks ago!Bad service, go somewhere else. Over $50.00 to sharpen 4 chainsaw chains!Charged by the hour.....took 4hrs to sharpen 4 chains.......unbelievable. recommend Eagle Rental for saw products and services.

Rental long reach shaft hedge trimmer was dull. The for sale long reach pole hedge trimmers were too big and heavy for this 72 yr old boy. Other than that Umbergers is a good place. Kind helpful service.

Have good selection of stuff but pricing on new equipment is high and trade ins are low. Bought a new from another dealer for 1000 less and yes the same model etc. and the other dealer gave me more then double the trade number on my trade in .....

I have shopped here for forty years and its always a pleasure to walk in the door. There is a good selection and if they dont have what you want they will get it. They offer far more service than simply selling products. They offer advice, help with repairs, coordinate deliveries, and the repair department is good. What more can I ask for? But ....there is the chocolate milk in June and the chain saw art at other times. You are fortunate if you live close to Umbergers.

Shopped here for over 30 years. Great selection, usually cheaper than the box stores on most things. If they dont have what I need in stock they will happily order it for me to pick up in less than a week.

Stopped on our way home from Hershey. Not a huge selection of things, but one or two of everything you need. Bought a tub of premixed tile grout. Less than half the price of Home Depot! Good prices from what I saw, limited selection.

Has everything I needed..very professional customer service in parts department for Cub Cadet lawn tractor...excellent Hardware and Tool inventory..

Excellent experience. I went in looking for a type of thermostatically controlled outlet to winterize a chicken coup. While they did not have it in stock the owner actually called a supplier while I was there and ordered it for me at a very good price! They are also pet friendly and allowed me to bring my dog into the store. I am very pleased with the service and prices on feed that they have and will be using them again.

Recently had my riding mower repaired. Spent $453 on the repairs. Went to use the mower for the first time and the headlight assembly fell out. Didnt have the issue before it went in. Called them and asked if it was a possibility that it was broke during the replacement of PTO clutch or just a coincidence. I know it could happen either way and the guy there said he couldnt tell me either way. I was willing to pay since it could be a coincidence. Asked for a price for the part $95. I asked if I could get it at their cost since there was a possibility it was broken during the repair.( It would be no loss to them if they gave it to me at their cost). He said no: how can we stay in business that way. I could see if I was just coming in off the street for the part. He said he would take $10 off.

They have stuff. Sometimes it seems like all of it. If it went out of style 20 years back and you need it - check here (bring enough though). Lots of new stuff to stare at too. If you could camp here overnight and think on it - this place would be packed like a sardine can.

My son bought a lawn mower last year. For 800$ broke this year took it to get fixed .So he ask if he could get a lawn mower to use to finish our yard and he was told he had to rent it. Wth .You think they would have been nice enough to let him use one for nothing wont deal with them again I als9 thought they had a good rep. Guess I was wrong

We recently moved back to the area after living in Florida for the past five years. Umbergers of Fontana is one of the things I missed most. They have great knowledgeable staff members, and a no pressure, take your time and look around atmosphere. We should support our local small buisiness instead of putting money in the corporate pockets of the national large chains that underpay their employees.

Have always found the staff very helpful in this store. Surprising just how much they carry.
