This is a very professional, first class company! Darek, our sales professional/designer, was the first step in demonstrating the quality of this group. He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job in developing the design and explaining it to us. His proposal included pictures of our house and the placement of the lights.Our install could not have been handled any more professional, Alex, the install team leader, was very thorough in explaining the work that was to be done and how to use the system. He has a very strong attention to detail and ensured that each member of his team knew was was expected.Vince, one of the installers, was outstanding in making sure that when he was done, you could not tell he was there. There was no damage to any landscaping.Update..We were so pleased that we decided to expand our lighting project to include some trees and landscaping. We had a similar experience as the first phase and could not have been happier with the quality of the installation provided by Alex and Dan.

We have been customers for years of OLP Chicago. They are always responsive, helpful, and courteous. Today Steve and Christian came out to replace a bulb that had gone out (which is unusual) and during the process of checking them all found another one we had not noticed. Very high quality light fixtures, professional install and straightforward pricing. Expect to pay though. If you dont like it, youre going to pay anyway. We feel the expense is worth the cost. The lights look really spectacular.

Recently acquired their wi-fi smart timers and the technician showed up promptly and assisted in getting the smart timers and the applications (on my mobile device) set up. Very pleased with the product and the service.

We purchased an entire outdoor lighting system for our home - probably about 4 years ago. The initial consult and installation was great- very professional and we were very pleased. Starting last year, and into this year, the customer service is horrible. We have several fixtures that either need repair due to the fixture not holding up over time, several have bulbs that need replacing etc. In general, minor issues that would probably take a tech about an hour of time ( or less ) to remedy. I can not tell you how many times we have called the office to no avail. If they answer, they reply it will be several weeks before they can come out- only problem is that they never do. It’s been a constant battle to get a response. We invested several thousand dollars into this, and it’s the worst customer service I have experienced. We called them two months ago to come out for current repairs and we are still waiting. Very frustrating.

Derek was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with... explained everything - process, cost, service during and after install. He came out again after the initial visit at night to place battery operated lighting in various places to demonstrate the effect. That and the service plan really made this an easy decision. I found the cost to be very reasonable for the value I was getting. I would recommend OLP to anyone I know and Id tell them to ask for Derek.

Our outdoor lighting system has been trouble-free for years except for the occasional bulb replacement. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives gave me an accurate estimate prior to coming out and showed up when they promised. My wife and I were comfortable using them again when we added lights in our backyard 3 years ago and again have had no issues to date. The quality of the lighting system, their expert design help, and their service capabilities make them a great overall value.

Called for service on backyard and consultation for lighting the front of the house.Service and repairs on backyard completed next day and consulting schedule for 2-days later. Within in minutes of arrival of designer, explained our thoughts, heard their recommendations, flags were placed and crew arrive on scheduled day and completed the installation without questions or issues.Overall experience with Outdoor lighting perspectives has always been professional, responsive for the last 10-years.

The installation tech called before arriving. He did a great job and was polite and courteous and answered all my questions. He was very careful installing the light fixtures as to not step on the up and coming plants.

The few occasions I have called to fix or change something the company has quickly acted to address my concerns. The tech who responded was very friendly and offered helpful ideas.

They installed out door lights in the yard front and back. The dumped the dirt that they dug into my sprinkler control valves box. They didn’t completely bury all the wires in the area of groundcover. They will fix things and overcharge without calling you with an estimate. They will try to convince you to switch from regular to LED bulbs and then try to overcharge you for that. You can get free LED bulb replacement from ComEd for free but they won’t tell you that. Be careful if you decide to do business with them. They also own Mosquito Squad company.

Definitely would recommend. Salesman was terrific and he was also very understanding of the budget we had at that time. We were at the end of a large backyard/outdoor project and only had a limited budget for lighting for the first phase. They were very understanding of that and worked with us extremely well. The job was done quickly, prior to a project we had coming up and very professionally.

I love how great my home looks all lit up at night! Before I had them professionally light my home, I had installed my own landscape lights that I bought from the hardware store. They were pretty, but not powerful enough and got very, very hot! The bulbs were constantly burning out. My new LED lights are bright and beautiful and light up my whole house! Not only that, they are cool to the touch so I dont need to worry about plants or holiday decor getting too close to them. They also installed up lights on many of my trees and bushes, they changed the whole look of the house and had it done in 1 day. My neighbor liked it so much, she had her house done too. Im hoping to light up the trees in the back yard this summer :)Update: it has been 8 years now that I’ve had my lights. I have since added lights to the back yard and side yard. I still love them! Today I had the techs out to check all the lights, clean them, move them if necessary (many of my shrubs had grown so much they were covering some of them) check the wires and rebury if necessary. This was the first year they had to replace any bulbs, and there were only a few that needed changing. I am so pleased with the results! I highly recommend Outdoor Lighting Perspectives.

Our house looks beautiful and lively in the night hours, thanks to the outdoor lighting installed by the OLP about a year ago. Last week they visited the installation to clean the light fixture lenses and fix up any functional problem, all free of cost to us. We could not be happy moreby their professionalism from day one. We think we got good value for our money. There is very little power consumption by the LED lights and not a single one failed(out of 20 fixtures) while providing a reliable performance, like a clockwork, all thru this time.

Simply horrible. After Tom closed the sale there was little follow-up and he was not responsive to calls. Almost 4 weeks later sections of lights still don’t work. The lights embedded in our paver driveway look like craters. The back spotlights illuminate rooms in our house not the shrubs they should. Tom is nowhere to be found. If you’re taking the time to look this company up before you order, don’t buy from them. Unprofessional is an understatement.

Everything went well. From the initial contact, through the design and quoting phase, through the installation. The installation was not disruptive at all. The only thing different was that their were lights. The landscaping was not harmed at all. Its been about a year now and everything is working just fine.

My husband I both thought we were told that we would have free maintenance on the lighting system since it was such great lighting system. Not only did we not get ongoing maintenance, we were charge $150 for the 2nd year maintenance we were entitled to because they counted the year of installation as the first year of maintenance. SCAM!
