I was treated with respect and kindness that put me at ease, and he educated me on what was being done to my car. I love this place. I have a OLD Nissan Xterra so I have car problems a lot. These guys figure out what’s wrong, and fix it for a fair price. THIS SHOP IS CLOSED! After less than a year of $1,500 in repairs (with warranty) my car broke down with the exact same problems. I really thought I trusted this place but clearly they scammed me for a couple years. After going to Simons I have had to spend over $3k in additional repairs, primarily repairs they supposedly fixed (alternator, AC, battery, brake pads, etc). Very disappointed and lost a lot of money to them. Now I go to Christian Brothers.

Simon is with out a doubt the most trust worthy auto repair man I have ever met. He takes pride in being up front and honest. I cant say enough good about the man. I went in for an A/C condenser, he had it fixed same day. He noticed I had been in a wreck and showed me how the body shop I used had screwed me. The body shop had been paid by insurance to replace A/C condenser, radiator and many other parts that instead of replacing, they pieced together and shoved them under the hood.. Many of the parts were completely broken into many pieces. Simon was more upset than I was at first. He explained what I could do to get the problem resolved and offered to help. You can tell a good honest man when you meet him and Simon is definitely that. He definitely earned his success through hard work and great customer service. I will refer all my family and friends to Simon Auto Care for any automotive needs. He is fair priced, quick to act, accommodating, and a good man. If only all service providers were like him we wouldnt need to review them online.

I had a check engine light that came on last year. I took it over to Drivers Edge to have them take a look at it. They said it was a small leak and they charged me $800+ to run a smoke test and fix it. I pulled out of the parking lot, and the light came right back on. They were going to charge me to look at the problem they were supposed to fix.A few months go by, and I decided to take my car somewhere else. I found Simons Auto-Repair on here and decided to give it a shot. Simon is amazing. Ran tests, tried resetting my light and replacing the gas cap. Never charging me for any of these tests. Finally, Simon ran the smoke test and instantly found the problem. It was the leak that Drivers Edge supposedly fixed. He fixed it up and only charged me a third of what they did. Been driving the car for a month and half and no problems.I will bring my car here for all repairs and recommend him to everyone. My brakes were squeaking? Brought it to Simon. Fixed in the same day. I would highly recommend Simon Auto Repair. We have recently relocated to the US, and when my wifes car needed some repairs, I dreaded the task of finding a good, trustworthy mechanic. I found James to be straight up and to the point. His quote was competitive compared to other mechanics in the area. When his team of mechanics overlooked repairing the rear tail light (we had a long list of things to be fixed), he took it on himself to put this situation right. This entailed completing an after hours repair, and personally delivering the car to our house at 9pm that night. Wow! Is all I can say after going to Simons auto repair. I had just got an estimate to get some things fixed on my car and it was $1400 and they would have to keep my car for a week. As a poor college student, I knew that wasnt going to be possible. After googling places to get another opinion I found Simons auto repair. I drove by it and thought to myself I dont think they can fix this stuff, so I left. I decided to turn around and go back and at least ask. Simon came to my car with a smile on his face. I told him what was going on and he said to give him a second. He was able to take the paint scratches off of my door and fix my taillight! He wouldnt let me pay him, so I knew I needed to spread his name. I cant thank Simon enough!! I will definitely be back for any needs and HIGHLY recommend his shop!!

I have been to Simons 4 times over the last year. 1) for a paint job 2) for a transmission 3) for window trimming 4) oil change. This establishment is much more than meets the eye. Simons is great. Went in this morning with what I feared to be a significant brake issue (shuddering/shaking when applying the brakes) and they were able to re-surface the rotors and get new pads installed at not-too-bad of a cost. Simon is very friendly and was re-assuring with me in the whole process and didnt try to push the need for all-new rotors down my throat, as that wouldve been way out of my budget.Would definitely recommend. Only thing Id recommend is opening a little bit earlier, maybe 8 a.m.? 8:30 a.m. can push jobs like this a little far into the lunch hour. Other than that, no complaints!

I called SAR just to get a quote on possibly fixing my transmission/fixing my gear shift (I wasnt able to move into park or reverse without doing the shift lock release). Simon not only was able to pin down three possible causes for my car trouble over the phone, but he encouraged me to stop by the same day and stayed open late to help me. I expected to get an expensive estimate for the repairs - my local Hyundai dealer said it was cost $125 dollars just to do diagnostic testing on my car, not even repair it. Simon not only figured out what was the cause (a malfunctioning fuse) within 10 minutes of my arrival, but he actually did the testing and the fuse replacement for free, since the part that needed to replace was so cheap. If I had gone anywhere else, I would have probably been advised to get an entirely new transmission and/or replace the gear shift, which would have been roughly $2000-$3000 dollars at least. I was so grateful for his help and his honesty that I ended up crying on the way home, because I was so stressed about how I would pay for car repairs. Its rare to find an auto repair shop where you are given factual, accurate information and youre actually treated with respect and kindness. Simon is a very straightforward and honest person, and I would not have gotten the same treatment at other auto repair stores. I will be returning tomorrow for an oil change because I really have no other way to thank him enough for what hes done. If you want a personal and honest car repair service that sincerely cares about their customers, please visit Simon Auto Repair. The only regret youll have is that you spent so much money elsewhere on car repairs that you probably didnt need.

Shop lied to my insurance company and said they would replace my roof due to hail damage but work was never completed and all he did was use a paint pen and pop out my dents, which he charged my insurance company 5k for. Also during replacing my windshield the shop sprayed adhesive which left permanent marks on my shifter. The shop also used half a tank of gas on my car driving it around and left me with my gas light on, of which i have video evidence of (dashcam), as well as they turned off my always on lights which you would only notice were on if you were driving the car around after dark. If this is your only chance to get your car repaired in a timely manner go ahead and risk it with this company as in my case, otherwise choose somewhere else.

Ive used Simon before and as usual he and his team did a great job. He is very reasonable with prices and does not give you the runaround. This is my only vehicle and he finished the job within 24 hours. I would recommend him for anyone looking for an honest and fair mechanic.

I honestly cant believe they have almost 5 stars. They saw my car and said it will be $200 to repair. When I went to pick it up they told me is $ 600, that $200 is to diagnostic only. My car only needed a relay replacement, they charge me almost $ 400 more for labor and materials, then he brings 3 guys to pressure me to pay or they will rip my car,even if the owner answer this review saying is a lie please please beware, dont go, I have reviewed many places and went to this one because all the good reviews, in this case is not true, go somewhere else specially if you are a woman

This man was such a sad character I went in for an inspection and as we talked his language went over very uneasy with me he cursed several times which was very much not needed, he also did the inspection which he said I failed as he laughed like it was a joke which i didnt find any humor in. I just took my car which is an 05 to my regular mechanic 2 days ago and passed my diagnostic test, but yet failed how is this possible????? His little sad employee passed me by with my key and handed them to him without explaining what was going on So basically he just seems to be very shady suppose business man and hes gets over on other regularly..............HE IS A SAD BUSINESS MAN THIS WAS POSTED ON 3/27/2013 SO ALL THOSE GOOD REVIEWS MUST BE BY HIM BECAUSE HE DOES NOT DO GOOD BUSINESS..............

WORST SHOP EVER! Simon said he could install everything just like i have it already. I told him i have a 350 fully built with block hugger headers in my 88 Camaro. So, Simon had a tow company, supposedly a 3rd party tow company, get my car after hours and the tow truck left my keys in the car. My car was then broken into, I lost tools, my keys, my radio and many other things. Simon then said after I picked my car up he only received 2 keys from him. But he implicated himself previously by asking why I left the keys in the car. I assumed the shop had a drop box and the keys would be delivered there. I lost a $350 Nissan key for my truck and he said hed hook me up with his guy who would program me a new key for less (he never gave me this guys information). After picking my car up and realizing it was broken into i asked wheres my radio, keys etc. He said he never received any other keys and he gave me a knock of brand radio he had in storage as if this would pacify me . He also had my car for almost 2 weeks just to figure out it wasnt the original engine as I had told him previously. Which in hindsight, I see he was only fixing everything the thieves destroyed (ignition etc). Nothing I originally took the car to him for was ever fixed. So he said, no shop wants to do this. He did look at his surveillance footage to see who did it, but then lied and said i brought him the car like that. This car is my pride and joy that I keep garaged so what happened at his shop would never happen. I hope if any one brings there car here they understand there is no security, safe measures or trust that your car or investment will be handled correctly!!!! I wrote this review 2 months after having my car there giving him an opportunity to redeem himself.....which never happened!!!!

Fast and efficient service. He gave a loaner car while mine was being repaired. He showed me everything that was wrong and explained what needed to be done and why. After all was done the bill was $100 less than the quote. I will be using his service again if I need work done on my car in the future.

Simon did a great job fixing my 2007 Volvo S40. I was having issues with the A/C and dropped my car at the shop in the morning before going to work and picked up in the afternoon. Simon also provides a loner car (if available) at no extra cost. In my opinion, if you are looking for a reliable and honest mechanic, look no further.

Simon Auto Repair is a friendly establishment, however I worry about their effectiveness. For instance, the owner let me borrow his car when he knew I had to drive but could not in good conscious allow me to continue using my car until he had fixed it. These people give a very good impression. However, after hearing the +$1000 price on fixing my upper and lower control arms and rear right wheel bearing, I had to look around for a cheaper price. I found that Fast Sticker on Main would not only do it for under $500, but they also correctly assessed that it was the front right wheel bearing rather than the back. They even disclosed that my car DOES NOT HAVE upper control arms, meaning that I was incorrectly informed or deliberately misled by Simons. While I would trust Simons to get the job done, I cannot say that I trust their prices.

Simon, Michael and I are sorry for taking our car to that place that is closer and we learned our lesson, we promise. Another car shop wanted to charge us over $800 for unnecessary repairs. We took them to you and saved ourselves over $600. Actually, you have saved our butts several times. Back in the day we were broke and desperate, you helped us out so much. To people reading this review, be aware, Simon is a character! Hes funny and a little crazy, but he knows his stuff and he really cares about people. He is not in it to get what he can out of you. Before we met Simon, we didnt know that honest mechanics still existed unless they were a cousin, and even then sometimes not. =) Simon has proved us wrong over the years and we are sure you will agree.

I was greeted in the lobby by Tiger, an extremely personable employee who made me feel welcome as he got me set up for being a first time customer. We recently took my sons car to Simon since it was overheating. It was our first time there since we recently moved to the area and decided to go here based on other reviews. Simon and his staff were courteous and professional. The car was fixed within a day and the price was fair.Within two weeks my sons car started overheating again. Simon checked it all out and decided that the thermostat that was replaced before might be sticking. He replaced the thermostat, check all the lines, etc. and there was no charge.We are very pleased with Simon and will be customers as long as we are in the area.

Ah, to find a place to fixes BMW and someone know BMW is hard, unless they are special shop for the dealership. But the mechanic in this place knows all about my car because he personally has three of the same car that I have. They have many BMW sitting there waiting for service. Its a small shop, but the cheerful and welcoming mechanic is important to me, especially their knowledge in my car.

I read the reviews and went there to fixed my flat tire but they charged me $35. Everywhere they charge $10-12 to fix the flat tire just to put the patch on it but they are way too expensive. I am thinking about how much they gonna charge me if i had a major issues????When i was there, I heard other customers were also complaining about the price so Please please do not go there. Go somewhere else and save your money.

I came with a dent I needed fixed, the owner came out and looked at it and said he would try to hammer it out with a plastic hammer before he tried anything more involved and more expensive. They brought me in as a new customer and quickly diagnosed the problem which had been previously mentioned when I brought it to Autozone to see if one of those stop leak bottles would do any good. They were unable to find the replacement part nearby but spent the time to call around to find a place to get the part the same day and found it in Fort Worth.They took the time to explain the problem to me and bring me into the garage to show me. They were also very courteous the entire time I was there.They called me early the following morning to confirm the repair was complete - that they actually completed the repair the previous evening but wanted to ensure it was operating properly and that there were no other issues.I have to say I was very pleased with the work performed and the personnel there and I will be taking my truck there from now on.

I just moved from california and my car started making loud sounds so i took it to more than one mechanic and all of them gave me an estimate for more than 2000$ so after that i looked online and i saw simon auto repair and i gave them a chance from the first second i entered they welcomed me in a great way and they where so nice and u can see in there faces that you can trust those people. They gave me a lowner car and it was amazing and they fixed my car in 450$ and they told me all the stuff the other places where telling me i dont need them thank you so much simon and im writing this after 3 month from them fixing my car just to make sure what they did was amazing!! I really feel like they are the best and honest people

Most of these reviews must have been this guy writing his own reviews. (As another person said)This place is shady as all shady can be.I went in for a simple inspection and paid for it up front. I failed it the first time because I had disconnected the battery recently. They told me that I needed to drive 100 miles to cycle the emissions systems. Ok understood. My bad.After I had driven the 100 miles, I went in to get it reinspected. I showed up at 9:00 AM (the time they were supposed to open). Simon didnt show up until 9:45. Shortly after his arrival, the power went down in the area. Due to his inability to show up to work on time, I was forced to make a third trip.The third time I went, Simon was aggravated to see me. He insisted that I must repay because the grace period of 15 days had expired. I had to argue with Simon about how many days had elapsed. I had to whip out the math skills I learned throughout high school and college and pointed out on a calendar that only 13 days had passed. He reluctantly sent the vehicle to his one worker to get reinspected. While I was waiting in the lobby, he was on a phone call. When the call was disconnected, he started cussing up a storm for three minutes straight. Very unprofessional. After I had passed all the parameters, the mechanic put a new sticker on the car and pulled it around to drop off. The mechanic got out and walked right by me without saying a word. As I looked at my new sticker, I was delighted to the see the hundreds of tiny shavings from the old sticker ALL over the interior of the car. What a D-bag.If this guy cant even pull off a simple inspection without giving me a hard time, I would NEVER EVER EVER trust him with anything else on my vehicles.Consider yourself warned.

Took over a week to get timing replaced in 2007 Honda Pilot. Then he tried to overcharge me $300 over what the dealer would charge. Had to take car back after couple of days as ran poorly. He tried to say it was the car, then found out the mechanic did not set timing correctly.You will need to haggle with him as he will try to overcharge you.Loaner car broke down, and it was his mechanic that did not fix it properly.Not returning to him for future business.

Owner was pleasant, helped me get a good deal on getting my car fixed, would recommend him to anyone

Went there Monday, because my old Nissan was close to dying. not only did owner limit work to what was needed, they got the job done within 2 hours of me being there while servicing multiple other customers. Everybody who came in was a returning client ( I asked each person who walked in...). That to me says everything.Owner told me what he thought the problem was without even looking at it, he went off my descriptions....and was right.I will get all services for my cars done at Simons Auto Repair moving forward.

Simon takes his time with customers and is completely honest about everything that is wrong with your car and the cost of repairs!!! His cost for repairs are fair!! My engine light was on due to my thermostat being out and he explained the issue to me and fixed the repair with no issue! Im going back for more work soon!! ***PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS PLACE*****The owner was racist and rude when we took our truck to get an inspection. Our truck failed inspection and he charged us, so we took it to get the necessary repairs.After we took it back he demanded an apology for the response we gave him about the racist remark. He kept our money and never finished inspection on our truck. When our manager called him to ask if we can have our money back, he said we can sue him and he didnt give a f***. He kept saying it over and over until we just hung up. We could not come to a civilized agreement with this man.
