I know absolutely nothing about guitars. The gentleman that helped us was super great. He told me about the items I was purchasing with very good detail. The person I was purchasing items for was very pleased with the items. Thank you at Guitar Center for helping with great customer service. The gentleman was very nice to help and quick at explaining about the items I needed to purchase.

Hard to get a rep to help you. Decent selection of Amps, guitars and everything like that. Bad experience selling used equipment. Sold them a guitar for $280 last week. Today it was on the wall for $750. Youd think theyd give half, especially to repeat customers. Nope.

Bigger guy with a black ponytail is lazy. Sold me a guitar saying military discount has to be online. After I checked out, I asked the young lady with multi colored hair if she could help me with military discount. She did it in 2 minutes & I saved 20 dollars. Not coming back here. But that girl was helpful!

I ordered a used keyboard from this location over the phone and was told that all the keys were working. I can confidently say that one of the keys does not work at all. I can only assume that the previous owner returned it because of that same non-functioning key. Hopefully Guitar Center will repair this when I return it rather than sell it again and claim that it works perfectly.

The experience was nothing more than a typical transaction. My sons and I went to this guitar center because it was near our home. No greeting when we entered the store and no eye contact. Others were being provided with personal assistance. For the first ten minutes I felt a little invisible, but once we made it to the counter, we were engaged by warm personalities, who were also quick and efficient. The store is sort of small but I would go back if i needed a quick stop in.

Had to hunt down an employee after standing in the middle of the percussion for 5 minutes. Could not provide all my requests which were very basic-inventory issues like many companies. Staff was nice.

My 10 and 11 yr old have been getting lessons since the fall of 2019. We were welcomed and have been a part of the Guitar Center family since then and just recently had their 3rd performance. Wow!Weve had wonderful and supportive instructors (Bree, Hagan, Dylan, David!) for each of them and are so thrilled to hear and see the amazing progress. You will appreciate their skills and how they work with you.The lessons lead; Glen Folger, has been a thrill to work with too. Weve had some schedule conflicts due to business travel and vacations and has always made sure to work us in.The kids have had fun and always look forward to their lessons. Its good to be a part of something that the whole family can enjoy. The GC staff is wonderful and will enjoy your experience.

Have a limited few selections of things like always, they need get a lot things in tired of way of wait on sweet water to send me a $4200 compressor when you got this place called a music store with nothing in it

This GC goes above and beyond to ensure great customer service. The team is extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable as the majority of them have been in the industry for many, many years.

They sold guitar strings individually some weeks ago but recently one man working there said they never do that. His argue consequently describes me as a liar. I got very embarrassed and unpleasant.

After a lot of research I decided to come in and purchase a very expensive electric drum set. On my first visit to come collect it (it had been paid for over the phone) Sean (Manager) was extremely unhelpful, poor attitude, and wouldn’t release it to us without the actual card present despite me showing him the card on my phone. Second visit (next day), we came in with the physical card and was excited to bring home the over $2300 drum set. This time Billy helped us who was very nice. Got home and opened the boxes to find it had been opened & repackaged with no manual. The high hat damaged & on the third visit we returned it. No one mentioned this or offered a discount but instead told us because their return policy was so generous this happens often. So beware & check your boxes before purchasing!

Ive taken my daughter here twice to get guitar lessons and shes really enjoyed it and her instructor is very professional and very polite I will figure out what his name is and add that to this at some point.

I was lead over there is they just happen to have the guitar I was looking for in stock and in the color I wanted. Icing on the cake was just help clean clean well stocked the store was and how helpful the staff was.

I got my guitar fixed here ... they charged me $80 and said that their tech was the best but while i was playing it in the store the string popped off and they fixed it in the store and when i got home it happened again so i called and asked for a refund and they told me i could come it and get my refund but when i got there they said they don’t do refunds. wasted my gas and my $80. don’t get anything fixed here.

Terrible service, bad attitudes all around by staff and slim pickings for ukulele. All around a very disappointing experience.

The employees at guitar center really helped me out making sure I had a hard shell case for my custom ukulele. It had uncommon lengths and widths so they measured it, found the right size case and ordered it for me all within 15 minutes. And they were right, its a perfect fit!

We usually get ignored when we go in to Guitar Centers no matter the town, but Jeff today was amazing! Set us up with a ukelele, electric guitar, and various accessories. He was super knowledgeable and really attentive and nice to us. 10/10 best GC we’ve ever gone into.

Ive been in this center twice in the last week and both times I was very pleased with the service I got. Today I dealt with Chris, who was very knowledgeable about my guitar and was able to tell me everything I needed. He spent the time to answer all my questions and then helped me out to the car with my purchase.I am a repeat customer, because after getting the service I do from them - why would i want to go anywhere else.

Really disappointed in the service today.I saw online that there was a pedal in stock at this location, so I thought, Great! Lets give them a call and make sure its in stock! Call at 5pm, no answer. Call again at 5:05pm, again no answer. Perhaps they are busy? Maybe understaffed? Oh well, it says its in stock so lets just drive there and grab it.I get there, and ask about the pedal, they say its in stock and that theyll find it for me! I fiddle around on my guitar for a bit to pass the time, and am assured that they are still looking for it! No worries, right? Well, after about 10 minutes of waiting around for an answer, the employee seems to be busy looking for it/helping other guests? I go ask another employee (a manager by the looks of it) to see if its in stock. He says hell look for it as well. A few minutes go by and he passes by me assuring me that hes still looking for it. I wait for another 10 minutes just to have the first employee walk by me with a snare drum in hand and say, Is there anything I can help you with?... really..?to which I replied I guess you couldnt find the pedal? to which they reply with no, sorry.It wouldve been nice to know that sooner so I didnt have to stand around for nothing! I go back to the manager just to see if he found it to which he said plainly, did they find it for you? I guess everyone just assumed that I was already given an answer.I was here over a week ago and enjoyed the staff. They were kind, courteous and one of them even offered me a job! However, my trip today on 12/16/20 at 6pm left me pretty upset and empty handed after a 35 minute drive on my only day off of the week. I hope GC updates their inventory regularly and answers calls promptly in the near future.

Went to buy a guitar amp with 500 dollars in my pocket. Brought my own guitar and everything. I was clearly looking to buy. The isolation room that used to be used for customers to test stuff at an actual playing volume is now being used as storage for a bunch of junk. Anybody who plays guitar or any sort of live music knows you cant hear what an amp actually sounds like at 50 db in a room full of people playing at the same volume. Employees were completely unwilling to let me test the amp to my satisfaction so I took my money and bought the same product somewhere else. Oh people usually know what they want when they come in. Sorry, but I cant make a big purchase decision based on a YouTube video. I have to actually hear the amp for myself. Maybe the fact their business model revolves around $200 starter kits with lesson packages for kids and they cant put in the minimum effort to move higher end equipment to working musicians is the reason theyre filing for bankruptcy.

The guys here have a solid amount of knowledge if youre looking to buy, and good prices. However, if you are looming to get a guitar adjusted ir set up I would go to a more reputable place. Great store though

Very poor customer service, nobody offered to help and could barley find anyone that worked there the whole 20+ minutes I was there waiting. Was looking to buy an amp, though was turned off by customer service, also hard to test out amps when every guitar is very out of tune, and they dont have any tuners to use, even asked. Highly disappointed, suggest going to a mom and pop shop where they care about their customers or somewhere else.

My boyfriend had been wanting to get a Mockingbird guitar for some time, we ordered it from Guitar Center online, and were just waiting for the email that it had arrived at the store closest to us in Plano. He was then able to find the exact same one at the Lewisville store, for $200 less only for being the floor display! So cancelled the online order, and I went that afternoon to Lewisville to pick up his Mockingbird. Except for current construction on I-35E in that area, everything like exits are well marked and Google Maps gave directions like a pro! The store staff was great, even though they spoke to my boyfriend on the phone to hold it, it did take a moment for the gentleman to understand that I was the one paying for it and picking it up right then, but after that little confusion, everything was great! Was able to get a strap that goes awesome with the color, and the boyfriend LOVES his new toy, and might I add, playing very well!

I already have an order for an item in backorder.I called today to buy another item But I had some questions to ask before I buy it.I don’t wanna mention no names but I called around 6:30 PM And I talk to one guy he was so rude like I was calling asking him for money or something And he put me on hold and transferred me to another guy who did the same and the other guy transferred me back to the guy I talked to first and those guys believe me they were talking like I was a homeless asking for money and because of the trashy way they were talking I had to call the 800 number To cancel my order I placed on August 12th. And called Sweet Water and ordered the two items the one I canceled and the other one I called the store about.$6500 And some change went to sweet water thanks to Ray Gonzalez made it so easy to order and he also Have some manners and education.

I went to guitar center to get a guitar starter kit with a amp. I walked in and I see at least 5 employees talking with with other. I know what I want. I had cash money ($870) for ensuring I was going to buy. No one offered to help me, their were 3 employees helping one customer. At this time Im get mad because the people being waited on were all White people. Im Native American, Im guessing my money want good enough. I was in the store 40 min. Just looking and waking around so I left.

Id went to get a Piano and essentially, nobody came to help me out. I had found one I liked and was considering buying it but I was on the fence. I can almost guarantee you, I would have bought a piano had somebody came and talked to me. Ill save my money for another establishment.

My experience can be summed up in one word, EXCELLENT.The gentleman at the drum counter (the one with the long grayish beard) took the time to meet my needs as a drummer, then went above and beyond my expectations!! Kudos to that man!!!

This is a good Guitar Center. The high end gear is at the 635 Store. I never really find what I need at any of the local Guitar Centers. Last time I needed a RCA plug with Ground Strap and I had to get it on eBay. They dont carry the picks I like either. Best part is the Used Gear at Lewisville.

We went to Guitar Center in Lewisville Saturday, June 15, 2019 to get educated on home systems to play music and sing. We met Sean, he took the time to explain mixers, speakers, microphones, keyboards, pianos, cables, stands and any other information we may need to know to make the right decision for our wants and needs. Sean was fantastic, he was never pushy or put out with our many, many questions. We both enjoyed and appreciated working with him very much. Because of Sean, we purchased two speakers, a microphone, mixer, microphone stand and clip, along with all the cables necessary to easily hook up our new system. At home, it was easy to set up and the sound and mix were perfect. We could not be happier. Thank you, Sean, we appreciate your patience and professionalism!

Long time customer of this Guitar center. I use this place primarily to get goods without waiting on shipping. For me it is usually to buy very big equipment I dont want to pay shipping for or small things I know that they will have in stock. Went in today to pick up an Apollo Arrow interface and I must have been a ghost for 20 minutes. Couldnt even get one person to even acknowledge I was there. I would have been in and out the door in 10 minutes because I already knew what I wanted. My item wasnt particularly cheap and I know is a premium item that could have been a easy sale. The guys working there were helping everyone else were chatting and selling things like cables and cheap speakers??!? Could have made an easy sale today...👎

I definitely recommend this place. Yesterday I had a problem with my bass guitar and I went to them for help. Not only did they help me, they offered me different solutions for the problem in order to find the best one. I was asked if I needed help multiple times by different people and ended up helped by several of them in their different areas. They were all understanding and patient with me and the other customers I saw while I was there. I am absolutely going back whenever I am in need of an instrument or have an issue with the ones I already have. Thank you for all the help, guys (:
