Love Sew N Tell! Karen is super sweet and upbeat. She is very comforting and definitely great at her job. I needed my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding altered. She did a FANTASTIC job! The dress was comfortable and she tailored it just the way I wanted/ needed it to look. She works quickly and efficiently. On top of that, she does her absolute best to make sure she is reasonable with her prices. Will definitely be coming back next time I need an alteration!
I simply cannot say enough nice things about Karen and her business, Sew N Tell. This review is long overdue as my wedding was December 28, 2019. I went straight into nursing school after our honeymoon and am just getting a break, but didnt once forget about needing to write this review - I love this place that much. Karen, is amazing. She handled altering all 5 of my bridesmaids dresses, my 2 flower girls and my 1 ring bearer - it was a lot and it was not easy, but Karen did not flinch. Karen took on the challenge of handling all this and keeping me, as a bride, calm and assured everything would work out perfectly. Karen is extremely personable, very transparent and a hard worker. I plan to continue using Sew N Tell for my alterations and would very highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Karen was an absolute life saver! I needed my dress shortened by a few inches (in a last minute overnight emergency situation) and not only did my dress come back perfect, but she was an absolute pleasure. I’m eternally grateful. I took two pairs of jeans to be fixed and a dress to be altered and couldn’t be happier with Karen’s work! I took her my most favorite pair of jeans and she fixed them right up!! I would highly recommend her!! Also she is so sweet and professional, and also was super patient with my two toddlers I brought in with me so thank you Karen!! I asked Karen to alter some pants before a photoshoot. I brought them in on a Thursday to be picked up on Tuesday. There was a rush charge but the pants were ready early and fit just right. 5 stars. Good local business!

She has altered several military ball gowns, a wedding dress, men’s suit, etc for my family, and every single time our clothes come out looking incredible. She can take on the big tasks too (and lord knows I have given her some doozy’s). Turn around time is great. I truly cannot recommend this business enough. I will never go anywhere else!

I’m getting married on 14 days, I tried on my wedding dress yesterday and like a scene from my worst nightmares, it didn’t fit!! I panicked and starting calling all around to find a place to fix it in such a short amount of time, no one could do it, then I spoke to Karen who asked to bring it in and take a look. I had a complete crying breakdown in her shop, as she reassured me she could fix it up for me and not to worry. I received a text at 9am this morning, and was shocked. Karen went in early to work on my dress so I wouldn’t be stressed out all weekend!! Not only that, the dress is absolutely PERFECT!! I actually fell in love with my dress today and I cannot thank her enough for going out of her way with her grace and kindness in my moment of panic!! On top of all of that, it was such a great price!! I will recommend her always, always!
Owner is rude. I forgot my face mask and instead of asking me if I had one she said “where is it” I said “what” she said “your mask” and told me I can’t come in. I feel as if she does not want new business from her attitude and tone.I called in as well to see if I could come before hand and she was rushing and basically said it had to be before 11:45 which is fine but dang just adjust your hours of operation if you are overwhelmed.I felt I had to leave this review as I read some mixed reviews of some people enjoying the service and others with the same experience. I hope that you guys get better service and please do not forget your mask.
I went here to get my wedding dress altered on very short notice. Despite having only 8 days to make my dress fit me, they were able to do so and even had it done a day earlier than anticipated! I paid $210 for everything (which was cheaper than Davids Bridal) and had an amazing experience. On top of that, the day I went in, I had a very big argument with my mom. I was so upset that I was going to cancel the wedding entirely, but my fiancé (now husband) of course wouldnt let that happen. The woman I spoke to (her name is escaping me right now) was unaware of this, but cheered me up so much. She assured me my dress would be a perfect fit for the big day and was extremely friendly and happy for me. I am SO thankful for her! My dress fit absolutely perfectly and didnt look like it had been altered at all. The experience was well worth the money.
Karen is the best tailor Ive ever had, she does all my clothes from suits to jeans and does a great job every time, and Ive sent friends to her as well and they all love her work!

This shop came highly recommended. I went into her shop in February with my wedding gown and explained what I needed done for my wedding on December 12th. She explained it was no issue but that I would need to bring it back later in the year. Given her confident response and recommendations, I waited and brought it back in September and dropped it off with her and had a fitting scheduled October 13th. She called me October 12th and explained that she didnt have enough hands to do the job. She has cost MONTHS of time and left me with no one else recommended. I am frustrated and scrambling to find another shop to complete my gown in time.
Really dont know her work she was to busy to take on the work I needed done. So she was the only person working there and could not take any more work.
Friendly and relatively fast service. The owner is super nice but also realistic about the time it’ll take to fill your order. I love that! She’s the only alteration choice for me. If you don’t know where to go or haven’t been happy with other alteration places in the area, definitely come here. You won’t be sorry!

Best first experience with getting a dress brought in! Reasonable price! I ordered a dress for graduation online and it ended up being way to big on me. I didn’t have time to order a smaller dress either because of timing. She only had two days to get it brought in and she turned it over in one! So greatful!
We took a prom dress here at the last minute to be hemmed along with other alterations. Karen was friendly, took the time to talk to us about different options and had the dress done on time.
They helped make my wedding dress perfect and were unbelievably kind throughout the whole process. My mom and my sister also brought their dresses and they were wonderful with helping my mom add sleeves. Wonderful people.
My fiance and I have taken some garments and bags here for fixing and alterations. Its a tiny hole-in-the-wall place where you will receive a friendly welcome and fantastic quality work with very reasonable pricing. Everything weve given them has always been done on time or earlier than expected. Highly recommended!!

I have taken a wedding dress and a black formal dress for alterations. The owner and assistant were very friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job and took their time with me. My first dress took about three weeks (August - wedding dress) and my second dress a week (March- not bad considering it was prom season). Last time I was there my toddler was all over the place and all I got was patience. I was going to give four stars because the price is a little high, but my experience was worth every single penny. I will recommend this place to friends and family.

I needed some last minute alterations to a suit for a funeral and, even though they had a lot of orders ahead of mine, they made the time to make me look good for my dads funeral.
Karen is a unprofessional also a bit pricy. My alterations were decent but full of wrinkles. I had to take it somewhere else to have them steam out the wrinkles which cost me more time and another day of waiting for something that Karen was responsible for as a mandatory step involving alterations etc. Not happy for the $ I gave her. I feel the alteration should have been fully completed and for that I will not be coming back or recommending any of my family or friends anymore. I will be going to a more professional seamstress. Where my business will be appreciated and my garments took in to full consideration. I wouldn’t waste my time.

Its my first time using them and my bridesmaid dress came out fitting perfectly. It was a rush alteration and the owner accommodated me and got it done a day early. I will be using them from now on!
I dont usually write reviews but I absolutely had to this time. I was in a bit of pickle when I came to Karen. I had a dress for an event that needed altering. I took it to the seamstress that I use regularly and she told me that she couldnt fix it. Not that she didnt have enough time, but that she legitimately could not fix it. The dress had a slit with an awkward cut and she told me the best thing to do was just to return it. I love the dress sooo much. I was heart broken. So after holding on to the dress for 2 or 3 weeks, I took it to Karen for a second opinion. I went to her on a Saturday and my event was the following Saturday. She asked me to try it on, she pinned it, and did like a faux sewing to see if the alteration was possible! She really went out of her way for me. She had my dress ready on Tuesday!!! She was even going in vacation that week but made my dress a priority!! This is the kind of customer service that makes me a loyal client! Her pricing was more than reasonable. Needless to say Im coming back for sure!
Took some Kimonos here for my work to get shortened. They gave me an estimated time of a week, got a message two days later that they were done! The staff is very nice as well! Will definitley be back for any future alterations needed! The kimonos fit perfectly :)

This woman wanted to charge me double the price of my hem via a rush fee when I requested the most basic beginners hem on a single layer form fitting dress in eight and a half days. A hem any professional seamstress could do in their sleep much less 8 plus days. So when I questioned the double charge rush fee I was told ok bye and abruptly hung up on. Very unprofessional.
