Awesome experience today! I’m no “real” drummer like Robert or the guys at Drum Center, but I know Stevie Wonder’s snare in “Superstition” sounds really good and mine sounded like a banjo with a broken string. After months of ruining new heads by over tightening etc. and replacing snare wires trying to get that nice dry sound, I decided to visit the professionals and it paid off. Robert sold me a new set of batter and resonant heads, new snare wires, tuned up my snare and showed me how to dampen it just right! Now I’m back in the studio with the exact tone I’ve been chasing for months now wearing some super dark shades & wishing I’d gone down there way sooner.

Vince, Brandon, and Russ are amazing. Expert, life-long drummers with passion and expertise. This is the place for all things drum. Central Kentucky is truly lucky to have this wonderful resource for expert equipment and knowledge of our craft. Thanks guys.

What a fantastic little gem! The spot is small but packed with gear and its so inviting how could you NOT want to go. Prices were competitive (better than anything on Reverb). Staff was next level awesome. If I lived closer it would be the only shop I would visit for my little dudes drumming needs.

Always enthusiastic to help anyone that walks through that door. I love popping in there when I can, even if it’s just to buy some sticks. These days you can get anything and everything for a couple bucks less at a chain like Guitar Center or on Amazon, but you won’t feel fulfilled in any way. I’m always happy to pay an extra buck or two to keep good people in business.

I started taking lessons here when I was 12. I discontinued lessons in high school and recently picked them back up after college. Everyone here is so sweet and helpful! The staff is very knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do. It has truly been an amazing experience growing up here and I will continue to use the resources Ive been given! This is the #1 shop for drums in Lexington :)

Great shop, employees are super helpful, very kind and very knowledgeable. Went here to find my first kit, they were incredibly understanding and patient with my probably stupid questions, and helped me find my perfect starter kit (the kit is above starter level, but because of price, I was able to get a nicer kit to start). Id especially like to call out Vince. He has been ultra patient with my insane questions, and walking me through my purchase. Would recommend this place 1000% to the beginning drummer and the veteran alike. Thanks Vince!!!

Amazing, quality products for the best prices. Staff is friendly and has extensive knowledge on the instruments. Private lessons are also available here which is a huge plus. Teachers are all very experienced and can help drummers of all skill levels.

I’ve been a loyal customer to the Drum center for 22 years now and will always go there until the day I die. If you are a drummer, you NEED to go there!! Russ, Sandy and Vince will make you feel like family. They have always been good to me. Even when Kevin owned the store he made me feel like family.

The service at drum center of Lexington is as good as it gets. I have been to lots of drum stores.....forks drum closet,Memphis Drum Shop   and may more,but walking into drum center of Lexington and talking to Vnce Grino was great he treated me like family!
