MOVERS BEWARE!!!Do not rent a Budget moving truck from them! They will lie to you telling you they have the truck size you want, then when you get there they will try to give you a smaller truck. Reservations for a certain size truck make no difference to them. You have been warned!Response to owners response:Nice try with the “out of our control” response. What you don’t know was I watched you give my truck to someone else while I was waiting for over 30 minutes for you to help me. I only realized what had happened after the fact. So you not only lied to me but you are lying on Google reviews also!

Good customer service, friendly staff, clean and nice looking store.

I came at the end of the shift and received excellent customer service. James was wonderful and so were the staff at the front. I’m not sure why people are so bothered with the staff not wearing masks, what does it matter as long as you have yours on? But that’s besides the point.. Thank you True Value staff, you’re awesome :)

Stopped by because they were on they home, Took 15 gallon propane tank in for refill. That tank was at least half full, the guy put 3.9 lbs in. I watched the meter, proceeded to charge for full tank. I told the cashier he only put 3.9 gallons. She radioed out and he told her it was a full fill, Hope they enjoy that extra 10 bucks they stole. Ill never buy anything from there again, Go to Tractor supply. They wont rip you off !!!!!!!

The staff continues to not wear masks. True for most of the customers, too. There are other places where you can get hardware (perhaps less convenient) with a safer environment. Make your decisions accordingly.They do have a basic selection of what your wood expect and an above average fastener and bolt selection.

Very sad to see not one employee wearing a mask. All signage requiring masks has been removed from the door as well. Not sure why this business has made this choice but I can no longer, with good conscience, support them. Its just a mask-protect me and protect you!

I have visited this location a bunch times for a few items that I needed for my yard maintenance. They have a huge parking lot which can accommodate small and large vehicles. They also have a handicapped accessible ramp which was nice considering the building is kinda of an older building.They staff was very friendly and professional....and theyre always willing to provide assistance to their customers. They store is kinda small in size but they offer alot of different supplies.Note: they do honor a military discount with identification.

This place is okay. Didnt like the fact that I reserved a budget truck to get there & they told me that the truck has a leak inside the box which wasnt a problem. When talking to the manager to inspect the truck he said the truck is diesel. Smh. Too much information left out. Lack of communication. Would never visit this place again. 😡

Great service in the back of the store. They are very friendly. Not so friendly at the register. They have a lot of diverse items for sale and provide a Veteran discount. Definitely give them a try.

I went to this store to get a couple of spare keys cut for our Ford Expedition. I had already purchased two blanks offline for $35. All I needed them to do was cut the keys to match the key I already had. I was originally told by one of the workers they couldnt do it for liability reasons...supposedly to protect me in case they messed up my blank while cutting it. I asked to speak to the manager for clarification. The first thing the manager told me was that they would not do it because they needed to make money. The attempted to sell me a blank that they had for $65 that wouldnt even have the buttons to lock/unlock the doors. I told them no thanks. I took both of my keys to Bobs Ace Hardware in Batesburg and they cut both of them for me for a total of $4 in less than a couple of minutes. True Value had to ability to do what I needed done but they wouldnt because wouldnt make enough money. I have been to this store several times in the past but I will not be back. Really poor customer service. They can make their money off of someone else from now on.UPDATE: Im changing this 3 stars since the vendor did respond and state that they would perform this type of service for customers in the future. There was no miscommunication on the day this happened though. I was told that the manager I was going to be talking to was the owner and it was crystal clear from our conversation that they would not perform this service for me at the time. Glad to hear they have changed their minds.

No masks on employees. Unacceptable. Workers not helpful. No effort at distancing.It’s a handy store, but I won’t go back until I’m assured of rational COVID response. I am a physician and I’m insulted by the cavalier attitude .

We received the absolute worst customer service from what appeared to be the store manager or possibly owner. True Value should close these doors until another manager or owner is found. Not one employee was wearing a mask yet they certainly sell them there in the store. They charge more then what is authorized by Budget Rental Company to rent a box truck. That is confirmed by Budget Corporate. When I asked the old man that was refusing to allow me in the store what his name was he told me Joe Blow. After the police arrived I found out his name is Mr. Woods. What manager tells a customer their name is Joe Blow or does not wear a name tag? I still am at a lose to why I was not allowed to rent a truck. He nor True Value actual own the Budget vehicles. It is a drop off and pickup location only. This man needs to be removed from any contact with customers. I fear he is not quite in his right mind. He does not represent the a quality business owner or manager like we have had the pleasure of dealing with throughout Lexington. If we could give negative stars as a rating we would.

Strongly not recommend. Unprofessional. Upon purchasing a chainsaw, I asked the sales manager if I could return if I did not like the product or if it wasn’t good enough. He stated yes, if within 30 days. It has been only 20 days. When I attempted to return saw, i was denied. I then asked the local manager to call the owner. The local manager spoke to the owner on the owners cell phone. I then requested to speak to the owner to voice my frustrations, but the owner would not speak to me. He asked me to wait 2.5 hrs until he arrived. Unpleasant experience and not recommend.

This store has most anything you need in hardware, paint, and plumbing for the everyday handyman. And it sure beats the trip to Lowes!

This True Value truly knows the meaning of customer service. I stepped into the store and was immediately met and greeted and taken to the items I wished to purchase. In total, 4 people assisted me in my purchases; from putting my equipment together to check out and all were outstanding. I got everything I needed, fantastic assistance and good prices and was on my way in about 20 minutes. The customer service from start to finish was absolutely wonderful and they have earned my business from now on. Great experience!

I shop here often but I have concerns that they are not taking the virus seriously, no masks on employees, no wiping of carts or common surfaces, no 6 markings or advisories. Seems quite irresponsible. Maybe they should look at Home Depot precautions, its not difficult or expensive.

Very helpful staff, we needed several odd bolts and specialty nuts to put a crib together that some of the hardware was lost. Crib war is won! Thanks to a very good local hardware store. PS the big box stores Lowes and Home Depot were a waste of our time, their staff have no knowledge and so cant really help.

The best hardware store in Lexington. Went to four other places before this one and was severely disappointed. This place had everything I was looking for and even some items I needed for later projects. I will definitely be coming back to this store.

To those that say too expensive, the service and expertise offered is worth it to me. Everything is neat and organized, they have huge selections of specialty hardware, well stocked and not mixed up like Lowes and Home Depot.
