Berkshire Trains specializes in new, used, and collector quality Lionel/O gauge trains. But there is also a good assortment of HO, N, and some S scale too. He has very fair pricing, especially when you think about what things are going for on eBay these days and the shipping people are charging. Dave repairs trains too. If you are a model railroader theres always something new at his shop to tempt you to empty your wallet.

Anytime Im in Lexington with some free time, I try to stop in to browse. Always has interesting merchandise and a nice operating display. Performed maintenance on my 60 year old Lionel locomotive, very pleased with the work and advise.

Place has that feeling of an old hardware store. Stuff crammed into every possible space. Yet, seems to have everything you might need for all scales and models (you just have to find it). Friendly helpful proprietor, Waffles the cat guards to store. Some displays, good prices. Try it.

Hours are unclear but otherwise great place. Lots of O and HO scale trains. Easy parking, right by busy NS mainline. Very knowledgeable owners. Runs a Uhaul side business too.

Best place for model trains in Lexington Kentucky if they dont have it they can get it if it exists, very helpful staff that includes people who love trains. Have spent hours just talking about trains with the staff.
